Be aware some sellers will sell camera's as "untested" knowing full well they do not work, that way it attracts buyers hoping they will work and there is no comeback to the seller as they have not been described as working. Not all sellers but some.
My first digital camera, which cost £600! In 2001 was a Kodak and it was 3.1 m pixels. But it had a superb zoom lens, and I seemed to get wonderful results from it! It came with a free copy of Photoshop 4, too! My dad had one of those halina cameras, and he lent it to me. I was amazed at the fact that I could now take 36 photos per roll of film, as up to that time I'd only used a box camera with 127 roll film!
Great video. You see so many of these job lots I always wonder if I should bother. I think I'd be more open to them and testing them if film prices weren't what they were. Even a fomapan isn't worth ruining for me lol, might as well shoot on a camera I know works
I had a halina 35x everything worked well except for the film advance which mangled the sprockets of the film then jammed the film in the camera. Disastrous!

It is always a gamble (but then most eBay purchases often are), but I agree it would be less of a risk if film wasn't as expensive as it is.
Keep doing it ❤
Thanks - will do when I find interesting job lots

Doesn't sound like a pleasant experience, particularity given the price of film.
I converted my Dacora camera into a pinhole camera. Very easily done.
That's a great idea! Given it's state I might have to give it a go, little to lose.
