  • This is the 1998 Thunder on the Beach episode of Challenge of Power. It was Re-Aired in 2000. I couldn't find an upload of this event, so I figured it would be good to get it up for people who like the Wildwood NJ monster truck events!
Audio is bad due to it being found on a heavily damaged vhs tape.

This was the show where Dennis Anderson signed my hat, after the pit party closed. The officials were asking everyone to leave and Dennis was all like ‘Not until everyone in this line gets their autograph.’
That was the moment I realized monster truck drivers were just built different and some of the kindest and most thankful in motor sports.

That's awesome! He really did do this for the fans. I met many many drivers in Embden, Maine over the years, but being young, I didn't value it as much as I do now. I remember David Smith when he had just taken over the reigns from Scott Stephens and I didn't know who he was, and was disappointed it wasn't Stephens. That changed when he swiped a Bear Foot postercard from a vendor table that was supposed to be bought, yet he signed it and gave it to me for free. Drivers who value their fans are the best.

I had never seen that version of Undertaker until I re-found this tape. In 1997 I saw a different Undertaker when it came up to Maine.

1999 is posted (missing the last seconds of the final race), but I haven't seen any others until the 2002 episode that is on RUclips.I hope someone posts them at some point.

Man some of the drivers last names were horribly misspelled like Vaters and Slifko. And Dennis Anderson/Grave Digger is from Kill Devil Hills not Popular Branch, North Carolina.

I'm a stickler for spelling errors, and the Challenge of Power series had many through its episodes.

He actually did relocate his Grave Digger operation to POPLAR Branch, NC. Go look up the location for Diggers Dungeon and let me know what it says
