There's a pattern to the top zombie maps. You got Mob of the Dead taking place in the 1940's along with an excellent soundtrack that makes the map feel mysterious, and let's not forget how insane the wonder weapon was at the time (blundergat/acid gat) Origins also took place in the early part of the 1900's, excellent soundtrack, crazy staff wonder weapons and you got an awesome Easter egg. Der Eisendrache the same thing. If Treyarch focused on making the maps feel mysterious instead of a cut and copy multiplayer map layout, soundtrack to go with the mood of the map, and crazy wonder weapons, then they can bring so many zombie players back for new zombies.

You can't call me criminal for liking Tranzit. Everyone has their oddballs. I don't think it's S Tier, but I really liked it. Additionally, there is a guy who's been remaking Tranzit for BO3, and I dunno how far in he is, but it's looking like he's gonna do it in a way people get a much better experience. Jimmy Z would've loved me, cause I actually liked all of his BO2 maps quite a bit.
Five has a great setting great story great characters a fun co op experience And a pretty good layout Yes the high rounds are painful with the traps and wonder weapon But I think five definitely deserves a high spot on the list at least a good if not great
Because it's a unique map sure its got its issues like George, the ice and the wonder weapons being useless for going for High Rounds but some people enjoy it just like some people love Kino when all it is just a Theater with Zombies and nothing else.
I don’t understand why every single person manages to make either Mob or Origins their SSS rank maps in their own tier lists, I honestly think everyone in the zombies community is just scared to be told off if they don’t conform to what the RUclipsrs say. I swear the last few times I saw tier lists in the Zombies reddit, Gorod, Mob and Specifically BO2 Origins were amongst their S rank maps and its total bs in my opinion because they don’t manage to provide reasons for why they think they’re good maps. I could just be imagining it but i swear to god I only see Origins and Mob top tier
Call of the Dead ain’t my favorite but Bo1 maps have always hit different for me personally. Because I can’t spot a truly bad Bo1 map. Call of the Dead may not be liked by some and maybe it’s not the greatest thing ever but I do have fond memories of this map and gameplay wise, this map was extremely open and had so many fun strategies. If this was my list, I’d put it at like a bottom A. Also, jamming to the map’s song Not Ready to Die by Avenged Sevenfold while you have 4 famous, badass actors and the legend George Romero gives me a bunch of adrenaline.
I feel like part of the reason cw keeps failing to hit the high notes in other games is because every map kind of has the same experience. Like to me there isn't enough deviation between maps, no funny quotes, no op wonder weapons that just demolish zombies or bosses, and every gun kinda just feels like every other gun in the same class with a few exceptions. There is no wide range of good to bad weapons in the game, they're all just average. Like there is no moment where you spawn in with your buddies late game and you're like "shit I gotta go hit the box one time and hope that I get something useful cause it's round 25 and most weapons are bad now" like you just physically can't have those times in cw. It's a shame really, it has such high potential, but it relies on the base mechanics too much
I fully agree with spaceland. I actually never knew about that game until like a year ago. it felt like i was reliving zombies man, i was instantly hooked to that game
I know this comment is a bit late but I agree. There fun because they’re still new but in hindsight they’ll be pretty average. Maybe Die Maschine will be looked upon as good
Kind of a shame that lex sorta forgets the criteria a little and just starts basing it off of how which map he would rather go back and play, but his list is still far more agreeable then noah's
I probably haven't played IW in 5 or more years and it was funny to hear someone talk about how great spaceland was. I know I liked it at the time but it's hard forme to remember now
I definitely don't think it's an f tier map, it's story and it's cutscenes put it in at least E. As for going back and playing it frequently? Yes you are the only one. Except maybe CodeNamePizza, actually you're not fooling anyone I know it's you Ben.
I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't have Origins in their top 5. I'll admit it's a good map but personally it's just not one I'd ever really decide to play. I just never really enjoy myself on it and everything feels more like a chore than anything

@@dempsey115 dude.... i think your thinking of the wrong map, tortured path is like 3 tiny shitty maps made in like 40 mins and its all challenge rounds it’s truly awful and is nearly impossible to have fun with
@@etangbose4755 it really wasn't bad
Dropping into Five right after the story in 1 is something I will NEVER forget and that map is my CHILDHOOD
Lex: *says something*
Chat: “NOPE” “L TAKE” “L” “CAAAAAAP”
Also chat: *played the map like 2 times and never gave it a chance like you’re supposed to when critiquing it*
If you want to get good at Zombies, play Nacht Der Untoten, all versions, no Perks. You *will* get better.
Thank god, i was starting to wonder why Lex didn't just make his own list
He did one before with better detail.
I'ma make a very valid point. EVERY WAW map should be s tier, why? Cause without them zombies wouldn't have existed.
The intro memes give me life
Just finished gorod krovi ee without megas and I can see why it's the most iconic map of all time for me
IMDONTAI IN THE INTRO MY BOY.
I actually wanted this tier list in the og video
idk what it is, but every single boss fight in IW zombies except the rhinos in beast from beyond is fucking awesome, Infinity Ward knocked it out of the park with their boss fights
i think the tier list is a 9/10 and it made me happy again after noahs list
Thank you for putting ancient evil in S, nobody understands how good the map is.
@@the_seer_0421cause of the engine, everything else is great, you get to ride on Pegasus for Christ sake.
@@the_seer_0421 my guy if you played this map one time and never touched again don’t come up with this non existent argument.
@@velez1155 ancient evil is good but its not s tier imo
its funny how id rather play tortured path rather than anything coming out today
Unpopular opinon Rave in the Redwoods is the most beautiful maps
In the rave mode
Yeh it makes u high lol
A tier map
Farm is the reason I got into zombies, its personally one of my favorites
I really loved farm for how bare bones it was. It was basically Nacht but with perk machines and I really liked that perfect mix of bare bones and stuff to work with. Also the camping spot on the second story of the house was so fun to try and hold out with friends.
@@bouncyblight2001 EXACTLY! It was also the only map I played growing up with my brothers because we loved zombies but we never even knew that you could buy more DLC maps. We only thought you could play the ones that came on disc. And we never really enjoyed Bus Depot or Tranzit for obvious reasons, and so I spent my childhood playing Farm with by brothers and cousins. Great map tbh really underrated
@@thomasjurgensen9235 that’s awesome! I had the same experience of playing zombies with my cousin on Kino and five. Miss the old days. Farm and town were the only thing that kept me on BO2 zombies till MOTD and Origins came out
@@bouncyblight2001 wow, the good old days. I never played BO1, I never owned that game. I only played Farm my whole life until Zombies Chronicles came out for BO3, that’s when I started playing again and that’s the first time I played any maps excluding Town and Farm 😂
@@thomasjurgensen9235 honestly because of Chronicles you pretty much played BO1. Chronicles will remain as the best DLC ever. I got lucky with it because it came out the same month as my birthday.
Let’s be honest… call of the dead is the most iconic map because of the “worst zombies player ever” by thatguywhocamps
Back in the day I didn’t have a dlc map so I played town and I didn’t have a problem with it because it was insanely fun all the time. I had more fun on town then I did on kino personally.
He gave me so much hope after seeing this video
He put DOTN in a good spot
He gave Ascension the credit that it deserved
And he didnt put outbreak in the list above two great maps
DOTN is not a good map.
“Everything is gray! You can’t fucking see” 😂
Me when I see IX and Ancient Evil in S tier: "Finally! Someone else agrees with me :))"
Finally someone says Cold War maps are good ahh man been waiting for someone like this
No way, a tier list with REASONING AND EXPLANATION?!
12:51 bro breathes in and it sounds exactly like the 'Hold Breath' feature in campaign and multiplayer with snipers
Can't wait for Noah's response to this lol
i like how shadows is a updated version od Motd and der eisendranche is an upgrades version of origins and they are both s tier

When zombies was brand new and verruckt first came out on WaW I would play solo on that map to get better because it was so intense to try and train anywhere
Hope Lex see's this but Tag Der Toten has a very good Ballistic Knife high round strat, I'd say even better than Alpha Omega's
what's with bo4's ballistic knife that makes it usable? Just curious that strat sounds interesting
@@jansonshrock2859 it combines a buffed electric cherry with the stone wall something(?) perk. he shows it off in his nuketown round 100 vid
@@jansonshrock2859 if I'm correct you use ethereal razor, electric cherry as your modifier perk, stone cold stronghold, and dying wish. Basically you shoot the knife at your feet while you hover over a ledge and every time you reload and collect the knife instantly you get a instant kill effect for like 6 seconds because of electric cherries modifier effect. With that perk loadout and strat the ballistic knife basically become a infinite damage/ammo wonder weapon with no drawbacks
A year later and the new trazit map might be the best map ever
I think “Five” belongs in the “my favorites” category, but other than that this is a GREAT tier list!
how do you make an opinion on what somebody else's already formed opinion should be
b r u h
Five has a great setting great story great characters a fun co op experience And a pretty good layout
Yes the high rounds are painful with the traps and wonder weapon
But I think five definitely deserves a high spot on the list at least a good if not great
The beginning meme hit me different😂😂
The song is so good bro
I will never understand his love for Call of the Dead.
Honestly same never really cared about it that much lmao
Also, jamming to the map’s song Not Ready to Die by Avenged Sevenfold while you have 4 famous, badass actors and the legend George Romero gives me a bunch of adrenaline.
i will never understand why people like that map u cant see anything annoying boss annoying water that freezes u and slows u down shit wonder weapon
I had no idea that Pyrocynical made the MLG Die Rise intro for Lex back in the day! Though, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised...
Finally, a respectable tier list
It's a shame really, it has such high potential, but it relies on the base mechanics too much
Me seeing Noah put Exo zombies in Great
I fully agree with spaceland. I actually never knew about that game until like a year ago. it felt like i was reliving zombies man, i was instantly hooked to that game
I think once we hit the next cycle of zombies the Cold War maps are going to drop down a tier or two with hindsight.
If we get a new zombies crew, that'll be guaranteed and true
I know this comment is a bit late but I agree. There fun because they’re still new but in hindsight they’ll be pretty average. Maybe Die Maschine will be looked upon as good
Did you know Rushmore from Alpha Omega is voiced by the actor for Q (John de Lancie) from the star trek series, mainly ST: Generations
Kind of a shame that lex sorta forgets the criteria a little and just starts basing it off of how which map he would rather go back and play, but his list is still far more agreeable then noah's
I probably haven't played IW in 5 or more years and it was funny to hear someone talk about how great spaceland was. I know I liked it at the time but it's hard forme to remember now
Bro, I know this map is balls, but am I the only person who actually genuinely enjoys botd, like I actually go back and play it frequently
I definitely don't think it's an f tier map, it's story and it's cutscenes put it in at least E. As for going back and playing it frequently? Yes you are the only one. Except maybe CodeNamePizza, actually you're not fooling anyone I know it's you Ben.
Tbh I enjoy it and most of my friends enjoy it, it’s just something a lot of youtubers hate
i actually remember playing spaceland... only idubz map i played and i don't regret the 10s of hour put into it.
Nuke town so forgettable he didn’t even include it on the list
WW2 Haus is basically Nacht for WW2 zombies, cuz u crash in a plane and get to the 2 story building and just surviive.
I agree with 3 out of 4 of the S tier maps
The setup in shadows keeps it from being S tier imo
I would’ve agreed with you if this was on launch, because setup before patch was painfully long but I feel like they improved on it massively
I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't have Origins in their top 5. I'll admit it's a good map but personally it's just not one I'd ever really decide to play. I just never really enjoy myself on it and everything feels more like a chore than anything
