I definitely hear that, but he didn't just pump his fist, he "rang the bell" with 17 minutes left after Caio had also just posted a high 9. In Jordy's defense, it was a long day of surfing to get there. He was letting the judges know he wanted it, I just would have rather seen him put his head down and paddle back out.
Spencer, i think the only person on tour that could really claim is JJF, he is taking the top to bottom turn to another level. Bells was his contest to lose, his own worst enemy. But head down and paddle back out is the way to go

I've been a comp surfer and now just a daily rippa. Yes the Bud tour was loads ago, but these guys get treated like royalty. professional surfing has now become a shitshow. Full of spoiled brats. 90% of these guys would not have lasted on the Bud tour.
Really awesome to see the behind the scenes, was bummed JJF lost to Caio but to see how much it meant to him to make the final, thats good stuff
