Never mind Gerald. And never mind whether it happened in the books or not. These two need to make it official and be quick about it! They absolutely belong together!
Mmmm. About those books.... while the Siegfried of the books never married, his real-life counterpart, Donald Sinclair, was married twice. His first wife, Evelyn, passed away from tuberculosis after about four years of marriage. Several years later he remarried; this marriage lasted over fifty years. Her name was Audrey.
I realize there are purists who want everything in the show to be exactly as it was in the books. However a lot of creative license has been taken with the show. So as far as I'm concerned a real romance between Siegfried and Mrs Hall is a natural regardless of whether it happened or not in the books.
I have watched this over and over - I just love it so much. (I can't believe this is one of ONLY TWO Siegfried/Audrey videos out there! There should be many more!) I just love how it highlights their casual and beautiful intimacy - one that I think they're not even fully aware of. Their hand-holding is everything. So is their unshakeable support for each other. (I really adore what Sam and Anna put into this - often so subtle, sometimes not so much, but with such depth.) I've also really enjoyed watching this repeatedly to notice their colors, and how they shift and blend - Siegfried's color is that deep red, and Audrey's is blue - but sometimes she'll be wearing red, or even wearing it over her blue, and I find that interesting. (It's also interesting when Audrey is out with Gerald - and she's wearing a coat, say, that's much closer to the red hue than her usual blue.) I can't wait to see more as their relationship develops and deepens even further - and I really hope that there will be more videos made for them! Vidders tend to want to make videos for the "young lovers" like James and Helen, and of course that's sweet, but there's something extra-special about new love in an older pair with history and baggage, and life experience in all kinds of ways. It means more, somehow.
La mejor serie que evisto en muchimo tiempo además tengo los 2 primeros libros y sipuedo tratare de conseguir 2 mas esta serie es un soplo de aire fresco ante tanta locura humana
I don't see their love as romantic; rather, I think it's sort of a combination of brother-sister, mother-son, dear friend sort of thing. Very sweet, indeed.
It think most people know that, but I think that the show runners are toying with the idea of him and mrs hall. Why else would they have named her Audrey the name of sigfreid’s second wife? But I don’t think it’ll happen. It’s just to toy with the audience which is brilliant.

He is so lovely
I’d marry him 😂
Every time I watch this show these two make me feral. Like... do the showrunners know what a compelling pairing they've created??? Do they know???
They named her 'Audrey'. They know. ;)
Im with you on this
They are perfect together whether they are friends or become more to each other. They are so lovely to watch♥️

So beautiful. It’s like we’ve been watching the unfolding of a love that’s meant to happen.
Gerald is nice and all, but there’s so much chemistry between these two!

Thank you for making this! So few videos for them out there, and this was perfect! The way the clips matched the lyrics. I'm so happy!
