Just tried installing my disc ps4 RDR 2 onto my ps5 it gets to around 20 gb then fails with the unknown error 🤬 Checked the disc itself, clean, no scratches no damage, cleaned it again anyhow, still fails to continue the install. Never had any issues with installing any other ps4 title on the ps5 what gives? Not spending 90 bucks om the PS store for the digital version just to play a ps4 game Ive already played through and beaten on the ps4. Why does the ps5 fail to read only the RDR 2 disc? Also the PS store is a ripoff charging 90 bucks for a game that has been out for 5 years. Why hasnt Rockstar released a ps5 version anyhow?
@@Babyblitz6s Tried it on my old ps4 failed to read the 2nd disk instead..weird its like a manufacturing fault when they made the discs or burnt them. Could also be a software glitch after patches etc since the game released.
PS4 disc version plays on my ps5 but the frame rate is trash. There’s supposed to be an update where you can adjust it but I don’t have that and it’s updated. WTF should I dooo??
If I insert my Red Dead disc that I've always played on PS4 into the PS5 does the game restart from the beginning or does it start from where I left off on PS4?

hello, I bought red dead 2 on my ps4 digitally at least I could play it easily on ps5 after upgrading it tells me that red dead has the trial version even though I have it complete game, I don't know how and why I wouldn't want to buy a second time but it's practically forcing me, have you dealt with something similar? if yes, how can I solve it?
So what I did was delete everything related to the game, unplugged the cord while in sleep mode, let the console do its thing and that made the disc continue the install past 24%, I started playing a couple hours ago.
If I buy the $20 standard edition will I still be able to play online? yes I read that I says I need ps plus n online play but I just want to be sure I can still be play online
@@itscominghome9389there’s two discs, a data disc and a play disc. When you download the game u need to put the data disc in first. Once it is downloaded u put in the play disc, wait for it to download and then once the download is finished, you can play the game.
@@itscominghome9389when you buy a physical copy (disc) game it usually comes with the data disc and the game disc. You have to download the data for the game first before you can install the game disc

Yes because the data on the data disc doesn't pertain to your copy of the game. It's just a huge game so it needs an extra disc with extra content. Just grab yourself a new play disc and you'll be all right.
Whenever I try to download the standard version of Red Dead Online it just tells me to play the trial or purchase the Full game for $60 because before ps5 I only had the Online version but it’s trying to make me pay full price to include story mode
during the bank robbery mission in saint louis kicks me out of the game every time i start the game, i reset ps5 i reinstalled the game and so few times nothing gave me a request for a refund, i also sent a report, can anyone help?

Should work fine. There's currently no PS5 upgrade that I'm aware of though, so no 60fps. But it should play like backwards compatible just fine.

Upload your game save data to the cloud from PS4 (if you have PS+) and download it on PS5 and you’ll be able to continue where you left off!

I had the same problem I ended up fixing it by cleaning the disc
