    Styron is correct on Hemingway’s writing being one of the last changes in American prose. Hemingway’s style of prose-terse, simple, yet substantially powerful-was unlike any in the time of his life. We have many writers-mccarthy, mailer-who use his style and mold it into their own. There are vestiges.

    I do not know the name of the person interviewing my Godfather in this clip but how DARE he talk OVER the great William Styron like he was some junkyard dog?????

    @tottenhamjake He's in the TV market. He has to keep the show going at a certain pace. Dead air for dead heads who watch TV need constant stimulation.

    This is what Charlie Rose does all the time with everyone he interviews. It is very irritating.
