Excellent footage. Amazing to see my father and his friends from the Round Table building it. I remember being lifted up in the digger’s scoop for a laugh. On the opening day I spotted my family watching and my mother on the train. Great fun as a kiddie and very special as I was lucky enough to drive it for a couple summers as a students. Thanks for posting this.
Just charming footage from the period - thanks for putting this piece together. I'm sure it will remind many people of the simple pleasures we enjoyed as children, like a miniature train ride :)
What a brilliant piece of historic footage.Thats just priceless.I remember being on it many times in my childhood.Wish it was still intact and working.
Awesome finding and watching this video, I'm in the process of starting a oo gauge layout of Fraserburgh station, have also saw and used a lot of pictures I think you have posted online to gather information as to how the station looked. I'm wishing I could include the miniature railway in it near the beach area but don't think I will be able to make the room, thanks for sharing this video as I was only ever on the miniature railway a few times as a child before it closed down, I still drive past the tunnel almost every day that the train sat in.
Fun fact, it went through a small tunnel next to lidls in a loop, that very tunnel is still here but boarded up. Though very nostalgic to see even though im a kid😅
