    Dude 0-60 in 4.5 for 33 grand? I’ve owned a few FIVE OHs over the years so never paid any attention to the EcoBoost. I figured FORD had made advancements just as they have with the GT but damn! That’s a fast ass car. Even 5 seconds for 33k is super quick. That’s Golf R territory but them are $50k. I’m impressed

    I think it runs as good as our 2.7L Edge ST a new 2022. It has a 7 speed with AWD , which considering the Edge ST weighs 1000 lbs more and a 7 speed automatic. The Edge 2.7 V6 twin turbo makes 335 at the wheel and 385 ft lbs at the wheel and the Mustang is 315 hp at the rear wheels and 350 at the rear wheels with a 10 speed both automatic with redlines at 6000, the cars in traffic are perfect. And they both really handle the Edge ST is a beast, I wish that I could tune it, put K&N filters and a catch can to prevent the coking up. I would really like to turn the boost up and add port injection to give it more fuel. 4.25 0-60 as is with Phillips 66 93. Great handling and braking.

    • @enflamedpapaya8592
      @enflamedpapaya8592 10 дней назад

      The GT is worth it for the sound of the V8 alone imo. 18-22mpg isn't amazing, but the 5.0 is still a beast and has tons of room if you ever want to add more power to it. The ecoboost is a great option don't get me wrong, especially if you like the 2024 styling over the 2015-2023. GT has more top end power, so after the 0-60mph it will be noticeably faster than the ecoboost. If you do only city driving then I'd pick the ecoboost. If you need to pass people on the highway or just want some top end power then the GT is the way to go

    From the 2022 mustang ecoboost(my model) owners manual:
    "For best overall vehicle and engine performance, premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or higher is recommended. The performance gained by using premium fuel is most noticeable in hot weather as well as other conditions, for example when towing a trailer. See Towing.
    Do not be concerned if the engine sometimes knocks lightly. However, if the engine knocks heavily while using fuel with the recommended octane rating, contact an authorized dealer to prevent any engine damage."
    Yeah, 87 is a no go.
    Old speedo went to 160, now its 140. It doesn't matter a they are governed to about 121 anyway.
    My 2022 ecoboost will likely be my last mustang (number 4). It's just not competitive for the price. For 3-4k more, you can get a Elantra N which has way more standard features, nicer tech, much nicer build quality, and a better warranty(with included maintenance), and is substantially faster.

      Where would your retracted sunroof panel go? There isn't enough roof to retract into. Additionally, the car has limited head room so even if there was enough roof behind the sunroof, the loss in head room would be unacceptable. Camaros don't have sunroofs for the same reason.

      @@thomask0043 oh, is there a particular reason? There's definitely quite a few 2015-2023 Mustangs running around even in my small country, so I didn't think they would suddenly choose to skip whole EU market with 2024

      @@thomask0043 I actually think S550 is one of the most beautiful cars ever, for me the exterior is even nicer than S650, but the interior I find very dated today... so I'm debating whether to go for S550 or shell double money for i8 (which has beautiful interior) or wait for maybe-never-coming S650

      Maybe I should have more specific: There will be S650 GTs in the EU, but no Ecoboosts. I bought my S550 Ecoboost convertible in 2019. I think they were sold until 2021. The GT and the Mach 1 is still being sold. Also in my small country ;-). If that is of interest: Mine is ruby red with red seats and a red leather strip in the doors. According to the 1965 tradition. At that time many sales featured the same seat colour as the outside painting. At my dealer it raised discussions. The assistant to the managing director loves it, the sales team leader not. Nevertheless: He expressed his dislike very carefully 😂. Let's enjoy the S550s as long as they can drive. And I agree with your opinion. It looks better. The inside is a matter of taste. I appreciate the retro look somehow, but it is not modern - agreed.

    Manual seats are better, people who dont realize that are not really car guys....disliking the video...manual seats are much easier, quicker, and over a wider range of positions...plus they weigh less

    It shows your lack of knowledge if you consider any part of the Mustang as anything close to Camaro. This back end was literally designed out the 1971 fastback so I'm not sure as to why people keep saying that it looks like a Camaro other than the fact that Camaro copied Ford. So please quit saying it looks anything like in Camaro cuz it doesn't.

    And God, they could have gotten rid of the super cheap wheels. My ex had the same exact wheels on her 2016 Ecoboost Mustang.

    Why would Ford model the Mustang after their failing competition, they modeled it after the refreshed Ford GT obviously. I love the Camaro but i acknowledge the Camaro is a failure because of GM, they cheap out on everything, everytime.
