Great review of a thinking man's car. I love the high powered Stangs but, to me, this one is suitable for over 90% of regular folks. Hats off to Ford for even making a mustang for everyday people.
The Bang and Olafsen 12 spkr system in our Edge ST is unreal.
Funny since none v8s been out since the 70’s
I’m not regular I just have regular money and credit
Lol Turbo 4-cylinder and longevity do got go hand and hand.
@@AP-st1liThe 2.3 ecoboost is actually on of the better ecoboost they make. Plus most if not all are bulletproof now. They e all been out for 7-13 years
Same reaction you had. Something about that Mustang EcoBoost. And the design refresh. And the color. I like it!
I just bought 2017 ecoboost Mustang preamam package used 74,000 miles .
And it's really fast 6 speed with paddle shifters .
I like the interior much better than the one in this video ...
I don't like the big computer screen it looks like an office desk .
Lol.
The 2015 16 17 18 is much nicer Interior.
And great gas mileage. I drove 200 miles. Got 32 mpg highway.
And lots of pickup speed . And again paddle shifters .
Got it in dec 2023. Love it. Only thing is that it takes a moment to respond when full throttle is pushed. Otherwise great daily driver. Idc what people say about Ecoboost being slow and stuff. It is 315bhp that's a lot of power.
I Agree, eco boost is a good car and especially since it provides power and gas, best of both worlds can't go wrong, which is why I'm getting one as well 🤝🏿🦅
That’s the turbo lag and why I prefer Naturally aspirated engines. It feels like everyone is trying to go to a turbo now. They don’t last.
I’m sure the moment to respond would be mitigated if you got the high-performance pack with the 3.55 torsen rear, and you set it to drag mode
You are the first person I have heard who explained the grill lights ! 👍
I looked at a special ordered 24 Ecoboost Performance Package Fully Loaded. It was 46k which is a doable price. Looked at the same option Gt it was pushing 64k. That’s a little bit out of range for a reasonable payment. I have owned 17 Mustangs and currently own a supercharged one now. I have owned S550 Ecoboost and a 5.0. From a bone stock platform a Ecoboost pretty quick in the daily driver department. GT really comes to life above 4K. The Ecoboost can hang decently with the GT on the low end.
17 mustangs?? That's crazy lol..
@@703Speed Keep in mine 50 years of age. An I use to own five vehicles at a time. I have owned almost every generation Mustang
Great review Kenny! I was a 4 cylinder hater for a long time. My car now has a turbo 4 and it is plenty quick. That is a really nice ride!
Thank you James
You are welcome Kenny! @@703Speed
Just put in a build order for a 2024 Yellow Fastback Premium with 201A, Performance package, performance exhaust and the magneride suspension. Can't wait for it to come in (likely around July 4). Considered the GT, but that was going to jack the price up more (and then would need nearly all the same options to make it interesting) so another $10K, worse gas mileage, and higher insurance rates. Yes you can get the GT for like $5K more, but that's STRIPPED down. You then have to pay to get the 401A package (GT version of 201A), so that jacks it back up.
Holy crap I didn't expect over 300 horses. Lol. I would really enjoy this car. Plus I'm cheap and the ability to use regular gas is quite nice. Wonderful vehicle.
Even the 5.0 uses regular!
@@703Speed I didn't expect that either. I bet that gt is pretty sweet.
As an owner of a 2018 base ecoboost, I will tell you that you won’t get all of the advertised horsepower unless you use premium gas. Mine has COBB stage 1+ tint and CAI, and I fill it with 91 octane. It rips!
@@703Speedthat’s really surprising, I expected both of them to require premium. Even my Miata needs premium.. (well I think it can run regular but it isn’t recommended)
Ofcourse GT is the best but 300hp with that price is awesome.
Bought a 2022 Ecoboost with 6200 Miles 5 months ago after my daily driver became unreliable (Jaguar) and no one could diagnose the problem. I've had one Camaro and three Firebirds over the years and truthfully can say I really like this car. I was very surprised by the power and comfort. Not to mention I'm getting 26 mpg. Only issue I have is that in the five months I've had the car, it's been recalled twice, but it does look nice sitting next to my 79 Corvette.
Nice Vid on the Mustang EcoBoost Premium :)
I bought an Auto S550 EB in 2015, after the honeymoon stage wore off my mind said I should have got the GT instead. So my next mustang will be a 6 speed manual GT
Just picked mine up last night. Very informative. Thank you.
do you like it? is there anything you don't like? I'm worried about parking since it's so wide and big
do you like it? anything you don't like? is it difficult to park due to how wide it is?
The spare tire is a separate option independent of trim level.
Good to know..
I think the automatic is mandatory with the EcoBoost because the manual wasn't popular with this base Mustang.
I’m in Ashburn and recognize all of these areas you’re driving in 😂 awesome bro. I really want to pick up a Mustang, and the new one looks like a winner. I’ll have to check it out.
Only disappointment for me was the lack of a manual trans and the convertible back seat not folding down for pass through. Otherwise perfect.
Horsepower in the 300's is respectable, but is a turbo 4-lunger, 315 horse pony $41K respectable? I might be willing to go high $20s, but $41K?
That’s just how car prices are these days.. also I think there are any cars with that kind of power selling below 30
Also fyi the base price on this car is just a little over $30k I think, and that includes the same power
@@Daniel-rw2gybase is 32k
This is ordinary my new dream Ford Mustang.
I love it.
👌👌✌🏼
I really wish that they have put the 2.7 L similar to a tuned dual injection, and the 10 speed transmission with a longitudinal mounting. I would love it. The 2.7 L is built for a truck, hp/ tq for miles 10 speed trans . I d love to see it go into the EcoStang when, if? they stop making the Edge ST. If it had the truck fuel injection it would be perfect, but it would kick with the F150 longitudinal engine 10 speed Mustang as a base, 350 hp, 400 ft lbs . That would be neat. Our 2022 Edge ST is a great runner.
In my country Indonesia, Mustang GT got taxed so hard because of its large engine displacement.
It's about 2x more expensive to buy and the annual road tax is 3x more expensive than Ecoboost at US$4,000 annually.
So... is Mustang GT really worth the money in my country? Or Ecoboost is a great alternative?
Are you guys getting the 2024 Mustangs?
@@MisterMikeTexas Ford and GM left Indonesia market in 2010s.
But GM returned to Indonesia in 2017 as Wuling, a Chinese brand, and Ford officially selling consumer cars again, but not Mustang, only truck (Ford Ranger including Raptor trim) and SUV (Ford Everest, SUV version of Ranger) in 2023.
So... we depends on grey importer getting these Mustangs from UK mostly.
To answer your question:
No, we don't officially get Mustang here.
Whether it comes to Indonesia or not depends on grey importer having demands or not.
GT anytime, even the base 300A model
Agreed
I agree if your going to build it and just want all the power.
The words "more aggressive " pop up in every car review on every channel
You didn’t mention the active exhaust option which adds noise and some power improvement I think.. yea it won’t match a V8 of course but maybe it would help bridge the gap
Still looks like fun. Thanks,peace
Great video. Can we install mbrp race catback from s550 to s650?
Wow nice review I subbed bruh!
no manual or paddle shifters!? ford really said s650 ecoboost is a rental car now
If you get the high-performance pack which is a $3475 option you not only get paddle shifters, but a drift brake as well. On top of that, you get the larger brembos with six pistons, strut tower brace in the engine department, larger rear sway bar, enhanced front springs, suspension and chassis tuning, and last but not least, a 355 torsen rear.
Honestly I test drove both the other day and they felt pretty much the same. Granted I did have a dealer with me so my foot wasn't too heavy but they're both great cars. I can't afford the GT but the only reason I want it is because of the sound. I don't know if that's enough to be worth the extra $10k when they're both pretty damn quick.
The sound and manual transmission available are the two reasons to get the V8. Otherwise, the ecoboost is good enough.
What's the difference between 3.15 and 3.55 torsen limited slip rear axle ?
So are puddle lights part of the premium or the high 201A package? I was just wanting the ecoboost Premium but I wanted puddle lights
nice car review
Think it's quick?
I think they should bring back a fox body style small lightweight Mustang and stuff an EcoBoost in it.....
And a manual!
Nice job bro
Recommended 93 octane !
I need one of these
Is it really 4.5s to 60mph?
Yes
does this not have the active exast option in it
Really like this car
I really like this one
To many things to do 2023 year is better
Amazing review bro.
Thanks bro
@@703SpeedYou're welcome dude.
my ecoboost came with a spare tire
dude, where did you shoot this video? the location looks serene
nice,,, bummer you cant manual shift thou
The only reason to tolerate all the Mustangs deficiencies(real or imagined) is the V8.
nice
no-V8 or bust!
👍🏻👍🏻
The ride on these cars is terrible. Just rented one and was disappointed. Fun car but there are better
Why
What do you mean about the ride.. too soft or hard, do you know which package your rented car had?
@@Daniel-rw2gy Im not sure but it was just rough and stiff.
I rented one and I thought the ride was just fine. This is not as good as a Buick in terms of ride, of course.
So the very first mustang is not a mustang. Great!
If Mustang hasn't got V8 it isn't Mustang. Thats my opinion. Greetings
A GT is a V8 a V6 or I4 is just a Mustang.
Nah it's still a mustang for looking like one. Just not as needlessly fuel hungry. It's smarter to have a car with more mile range and fuel economy. Besides, it still looks better than 90% cars and will still get you ahead of others. I can spend the extra 15000-20000$ on something else. Like making my mustang look better than the best mustang model so that you guys can stop trying to feel good about yourselves through your car. Like there are better cars out there anyway. So why you trying so hard? Are you gonna be the biggest loser when you lose to a better car? No. Same for us. Honestly I dont even care about the sound. There is something really dumb about caring about it. Just imagine if mustang 4 ecoboost looked exactly like the v8 model. Who will care the most whether it is GT or not? 😏 Just trolls who wanna put others down. It's a good car for its price and for daily driving. And it's better than most cars so it's a great buy.
I’d get the eco boost mustang if you don’t take it to the track. A v8 mustang as a daily driver is insanely pointless, especially if you care about gas mileage
@@XKnightLightX right agree, peope tend to forget that the original manufacturer mustang was a v6. Muscle car era started as V6 it wasnt till late 60s when V8 muscles started to blow.
@@selfoblivionalex6262 but its appearance is a big part of what makes it a mustang. One might almost never call it a mustang if the drivetrain were placed in a whole different frame and housing. Imagine this drive train in a classic lady bug body volkswagon. You'd just see it as a super bug🤣. The exterior design is what largely makes it a mustang. Plus it drives fast enough to be cooler than 90% of cars. It even has a drift brake and paddle shifters… unlike 90% of cars on the road.So it deserves respect. Especially with extra packages and customizations
