Who else is watching this before they go? Went in 2018 its amazing! Better than it sounds
$34 for a park admission is a great price when it also includes the water park along with the other free items it already offers. Thanks for the video!
I don’t think Alabama Adventure gets the credit it deserves. It may not seem like a lot now, but it’s important to understand the dry park was completely abandoned at one point and quite a big mess was left behind. There were lots of plumbing issues in the water park when the Koch’s took over on 2014, two of the largest water slides were in rough shape and just had to be taken out completely, and there were tons of empty ride pads and abandoned large-scale attentions in the dry park. Plus they didn’t have a ton of financial backing when this park reopened like Ed Hart did for Kentucky Kingdom. Even with their limited amount of attractions, they have still become a beloved attraction in the Birmingham area and they’ve continued to bring in more and more guests every year.
Elias Mertens It should deserve credit and some recognition as well as some fix-ups to make this dainty little park into a big destination theme park resort with not only the theme park itself, but also some resort hotels!
It's really amazing this place survived at all. They got a relocated wild mouse this year which I think is a great stepping stone coaster between the wacky worm and Rampage. It really needs one more major coaster and some flats to really put it on the map
yes i agree, me and my mom bought season passes for this summer and A LOT of people go there. especially on friday-sunday
We're going next month and I'm looking forward to it.
This park was originally Visionland turned into splash adventure and they just kept Rampage which was an original ride at Visionland. It was turned into a water park which is why there are not many dry rides.
They are teasing a new roller coaster that'll go in that gross looking area behind the picnic pavilions! YAY!
Loved seeing the merch at the end.
The dry park could use a lot more new things. They still don't have a replacement for Zoomerang and don't they have a lot of rides behind the park like a log flume and a rapids ride that still aren't open yet? The Waterpark could use a few more slides perhaps. They used to have one of those bowl slides that you go down on your back but it was taken out for some reason.
The log flume has been mostly torn out and the Wild River Gorge will never operate again. Both of were built by non-reputable companies. Both the old speed slide and the bowl slide were built by knockoff water slide companies and that’s why they were torn out.
That cat is fast! Definitely pregnant
Wow is this place bare compared to when I went in 2007. It had a Vekoma boomerang, a rapids (that did not get you wet) an S&S space shot, a Miler kiddie coaster, a ferris wheel, a working log flume, a shooting gallery, and an orange turtle mascot. I'll be glad to post about it over on IG and tag you all so you can see the difference. Cool to see it today, but it's really stripped down from what it was. Thanks for this one.
I'd love to see it! The last time I was here, I remember the toilet bowl and I'm pretty sure the amusement park side was completely shut down. Now, I can't find any pics or vids of what it used to be and how it's changed over the years as its owners changed.
The former owners gutted the place and the Koch's are trying to build it back up from scratch. The only ride left from the old Alabama Adventure is Rampage which itself was in a horrible state of disrepair when they bought the park
Enjoyed the video.
That cat is preggers.
As a UA alum, I fully appreciate the "Roll Slide" shirt.
This is a semi-abandoned amusement park.
It’s in the process of coming back. Dan Koch is bringing this park back almost completely with cash on hand, and it takes money to bring back a park that was completely gutted and full of attractions that were not up to safety and efficiency standards.
Jessica Bentivenga Indeed...
This place looks slightly deserted...
Let me know next time you're in the area and we can get you some behind the scenes and maybe even a lift hill climb!
Could the theater closures be related to the pandemic or something else?
Yess it is! Its just a area for big group of people to come in cool of and eat but this year we’re limiting group sizes to 8 people
legends first name is “the” 😋
PREGNANT CAT
I love your videos can you please go back to six flags America there going to have a new ride
I wanna see Six Flags acquire Alabama Adventure and turn it into Six Flags Over Alabama which would feature some DC Comics and Looney Tunes themed rides and attractions as well as some rides and attractions for Cartoon Network shows like Adventure Time and Steven Universe!
Six Flags won’t touch this park as it doesn’t have any assets to remove once they run it into the ground. Give current ownership credit where it deserves.
Fat cat, Molly ftw
PRAISE JESUS CHRIST BEFORE ITS TOO LATE 777
