Remember when his claws were barely functional? I love seeing him so much stronger! Great job taking care of Leon 💗
rubber band scares and all !!
Yes, I remember when he first got Leon. It's wonderful to see him thrive. And Brady is so good at doing these videos, he really should be picked up by schools and wild life producers.
@@clearday9525 I agree, Brady does a phenomenal job!
I was just thinking about that. How small and weak those claws were, after atrophying in the rubber band
Its insane how his life changed from being viewed only as food to being a beloved friend. Its sad how much potential animals have and yet how many of them are treated by us.
I still remember when this was just a small experiment to see if a groceries lobster could survive and be rehabilitated. What a journey with Leon.
This is the reason because we must save lobsters 🙏🏻💙🦞
Me, too! What tales we have to tell and experiences to remember now since then! Leon and the rest of the plant and animal life have been such a down to earth, nostalgic, at times bittersweet, yet mostly cute and sweet series to be a part of, and I feel so blessed and happy to be among those who've witnessed this incredible experiment! Who knew a grocery store lobster would steal the hearts of so many fans around the world? Haha!
@@dukeofthedance8062 Fair enough, haha! Lobster farming does sound like it would be a profitable business, not to mention really awesome having your own lobster meat on occasion. I've never had the pleasure of eating lobster, and it's one of my dream dishes to have for dinner someday, and the way you describe it is making my mouth water. Seafood is some of the best food, in my opinion (no offense, Leon... Still love you, Leon! Would never think of eating YOU, Leon, but maybe a brother or cousin or other relative or friend).
Could you ever fathom there would be a “Leon the Lobster OG Crew”??? I also have been here since the very 1st video 😂. Now I am just addicted.
@@dukeofthedance8062 *Me looking up what a sea apple is, as a result of being ignorant about marine life*
I really admire people who experiment with keeping and raising creatures and living organisms, especially ones that we know so little about. And if everyone treated their animal and plant life the way that Brady seems to (at least from what we can see on RUclips), the whole world would be a much better, safer, and more caring and loving place.
Having people draw or paint Leon is one thing, but someone making huge street art of him is just next level amazing!
I do wonder if that might just be a generic lobster mural that a Leon fan found
Some of the artwork sent in was amazing!
Driving an hour out just to help out a fish with a hook in its mouth.🥰 A real life Dr Doolittle! The world needs more of you!❤
Id try bread as bait next time. Fish can’t resist it and it’s probably easier for that guy to eat
So true. Brady is intelligent, curious, and sensitive
@@FioreCiliegia I'd go magnet fishing instead. The magnet would pull the hook in and you can easily catch the fish without effort.
Shows extreme strength of character, to go so far out of his way to help a fish.
He seems to be way more colorful now than he's ever been
Very much so. He's magnificent!
That’s what he always looks like after a molt
Leon‘s colors after the molting are magnificent! 💎
Love and greetings from Germany 😊❤👍🏻
Yes dude, I also had save a lobster when I was on the sucking grocery store, my pet lobster is good and my wife take care at him ever
I think it’s because he’s happy!! 🦞😊❤️
I remember the 1st video of a man buying a lobster from a grocery store. Making so many little kids fantasy come true and the following you have amassed is nothing short of amazing. Thank you for not only saving him but educating us all and sharing your journey with us. It’s been fascinating, amazing and just so freaking cool. Thank you Brady and Leon and all the kitties too.
I remember, as a kid, my parents used to buy live crabs to cook and I used to desperately try to save at least one of the crabs. My mom would let me keep one at least and a little kid would have no idea how to care for the crab properly and die. Watching Leon really reminds me of my childhood trying to keep the crabs alive lol
Love me some Leon
I’m just terrified of the day I get up and get on RUclips and read “rest In peace leon” grown too close to my distant crustacean friend
@@skolblues we have no idea how old he is and with proper care they can live a very long time. I don’t want to even think about it.
@@skolblues😢
Brady, I need to share something with you. I am neurodivergent, though I've never "officially" been diagnosed (although many doctors have insinuated as such), and marine life has always been a double-edged sword for me. On the one hand, it's always fascinated me, but I could never get into learning or researching more about it because it's FAR too overstimulating for me. Your videos are at the perfect pace for me to process all the information without feeling so overwhelmed, and I've been able to learn more about koi, shrimp, lobsters, crabs, and other sea creatures than I ever have in my entire life.
I hope you continue to film your diverse and beautiful plant and animal life, especially the marine life, for a long time so I can learn more about them at my own speed in my own way. Your filming style is what I needed in middle school and high school, and I'm so glad you decided to upload this kind of content to RUclips. Keep doing what you do so well, Brady, and thank you for what you do!
You must be the most caring person in the world, trying to help that little fish was so amazing. The world needs more people like you.
I love how the channel is branching out from just Leon to his tank neighbors, your plants, your cats, then the nature around you. I mean Leon is always a joy to see but you interacting with wildlife has been a blast as well
It was a great video all round, Brady is creating a universe of content here, with Leon being the star of the show. Loving the small crabs, interesting side characters.
Same 🙌
🦞 🐈 🐠 💦
💯
Brady, thanks for the Leon update.❤ This was a wonderful video of the beautiful area around you. Thanks for trying to help the little brim. You have such a kind heart.
And the bikes haha
I'm amazed by his colors. They've changed so much since you rescued him from the store. The blue really stands out. You've done a wonderful job with him.
I love the blue too. It is my favorite color
It's cool how you've weaved so many other animals (and plants) into what is basically now Leon's channel. It's also cool to see how Leon has changed since he first arrived to your home from the grocery store.
Not admitted any lobstereaters in the World, STOP eat any poor lobsters 🙏🏻💙🦞
It's so heartwarming to see this, he's like an apex predator in his environment but hes just a cute little water bug. Leon has no idea how special he is❤️
What a kind and gentle soul you are Brady.
I couldn’t have imagined that I‘m ever that interested in a rescued grocery store lobster. Leon is awesome, and so is your channel. 🖤
Totally! I live in a lobster fishing village and thought that this whole thing was ridiculous. NOW I’m transfixed! This is sooooo interesting!
Nor I, yet it is quite interesting and Brady's ability to create these low tempo films make it so.
330am RUclips algorithm brought me here at the start, can't leave now!
Same, I am soo emotionally invested. More so, as an Atlantic Canadian, we fish the exact same species of lobster every year.
@@Loralie571 Hello from Nova Scotia!
Leon is looking so much healthier, it's so good to see
I absolutely love watching Leon munch on those smelt. Crazy to think that he was destined to be someone's dinner but someone else had a better idea and it worked out amazingly, depending on how old he was when he was caught he could easily outlive most people watching his videos.
Yeah💙🦞
It's crazy and Extremely Inappropriate eat lobsters, such a lobstereatertroll, very crazy, so thank you for have say it
My grandma once took a neighbours cat and got him fixed. The cat was coming in through the dog door. She brought him back to the owners a couple of times. They told her they wanted him to be in outdoor cat, she said he didn’t want to live outdoors. So after a couple more times of finding him in her house, she got him fixed and he happily lived out his days indoors with my grandma. He was a lovely, happy, grey tabby. I think she did the right thing.
PS don’t give up trying to help the fish with the hook!
Of course cats want to be outdoors if they have caring enough owners to let them. Getting them spade and neutered is a must.
As for the hook in the bream it will have rusted and worked it's way out before long.
You actually saying you grandmother stole the neighbor's cat? Please tell me the neighbors knew she had him and were cool with it! Having a cat disappear is truly terrible and the not knowing really really sucks, I know first hand 3 times over.
@@Quagigitymire they knew where to find him, but they never cared to come looking. They were terrible owners. People who care about their pets get them fixed and let them inside if that is where they prefer to be. Giggity down on that.
@@Quagigitymire She likely let the cat come and go after she had it neutered. It made the decision to switch homes. That happens more times than you can imagine. Cats know where they're best cared for. 😁
I do TNR (trap, neuter, return) work on feral cats, and have 100% gotten my neighbors cats fixed without their consent. If you're not going to take responsibility, I will. People don't seem to understand (or care) just how much of a menace their unfixed cats can be. I don't take them permanently, they're trapped, sent to a clinic the following morning, and are released on vet recommended timeline.
Leon digging under the rock for the crab's meal was rather impressive to watch, and great footage of the tiny crab! He needs a name.
Mr. Krabs - he looks a little salty lol

You're truly an incredible human being. I admire you for going back to try and get the hook out of the fish's mouth. God bless you
As a Lobster, I am very fond of my fren Leon.
I swear he knows that you saved his life. Watching you two interact is magical.
I am mesmerized. I absolutely enjoy your videos.
For the stray cat, I know they make products that specifically deter cats. Some holistic examples I found are:
Orange and lemon peels (cats dislike citrus smells), cayenne pepper, coffee grounds, pipe tobacco, lavender oil, lemon grass oil, citronella oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, & mustard oil.
I agree totally!!!!!
It is essentially a waterborne cockroach. Please don’t assign it emotions.
@@MerchantMarineGuy cockroaches cant have emotions?
@@MerchantMarineGuy I don't know whether to like or dislike this... 🤣 I mean it is true. I'm not opposed to eating them - but finding them half-dead in a supermarket to linger just seems kind of gross. I don't really think the purpose of the channel is to assign it emotions, but is kind of educational about what a lobster is, does, and it's life cycle.
Leon is looking so much healthier, it's so good to see. He seems to be way more colorful now than he's ever been.
There is something so simple about watching Leon. Just his little world that we can all enjoy.
That's nuts, Leon just climbing up and taking food from your hand. Leon is awesome!
Never thought I'd get this emotionally invested in a lobster tbh
Best channel to watch right before sleep, not saying your boring, just very pleasant and calming content
Leon he's just so adorable !!!!!🤗🇬🇧
Thank you Brady for all you do for animals. You’re a great human.
@Brady.. you should put that avatar on a t-shirt
he's an angel not a human 😇
I agree 100%. What he did to try to remove the hook from that poor fish was remarkable. Such a shame his efforts didn't work 😞
@@marian6593 yeah poor little fish I was hoping he could catch him to remove it 😥😥😥😥😥😥
I truly enjoy this channel and the updates on Leon and friends. I have recommended many of my fellow veterans from my group therapy sessions to come here and watch. They have had nothing but good things to say. This channel really helps with my anxiety and ptsd. As it does with many veterans. 🦞💯🇺🇸🫡
I have literally watched Leon’s whole journey over a two day period. I think it’s hilarious a chicken showed up. Probably heard it was a safe haven. I wouldn’t be surprised if a zebra showed up at this point.
Ive literally just finished watching your first video on Leon and wow. What a difference in him. Your love and care has enabled him to thrive. Hes beautiful 😍
Awesome! Thank you for checking out Leon’s journey. ✌️✌️✌️🦞
Sweet Leon! It's so awesome to see him living his lil' lobster life.
never thought I would ever be excited to see a lobsters life but here I am again.
Leon gets more vibrant with every molt, holy moly
Brady you have taken a moment in many people's lives and brought us together with Leon and your knowledge. A moment in a store and we thought what if? I'd like to let you know your view for us to follow and watch, is one to admire and love. The RUclips algorithm that led thousands to your page 2 years ago was one of the best moments. People from all over the world take a few moments to bond and I feel relaxed on Leon's journey. We most likely have a feeling of excitement when the notification pops up. I know I do! As an emergency dispatcher, sometimes you and Leon are the perfect solution to a tough day. Notification, a sudden Oooh! Then a click, with a solid 20-minute mental getaway... Mental serenity. Ahh!!!😌
As far as the neighbor's cat, hehe, well maybe you could rig a water line that can be squirted. Not harmful and maybe set for motion, or for your cats to trigger. Almost like an old cartoon, where the indoor cats squirt the outdoor animals. Either way, it could be great B-roll footage with some funny outcomes.
Please keep showing us some more footage of the other sea creatures in Leon's tank. They too are so fascinating, resilient, and fun to watch.
Dearly thank you for the time and effort you put into these videos. Always looking forward to the next one. Give Leon a treat for me and a gentle claw bump for me. 👊😎💙
Motion detection water spray and and action triggered cameras can catch all kinds of cool coverage.
I love seeing all the other little creatures in Leon's tank (as well as keeping up with his progress)--the anemones, crabs, and glass shrimp! It's like checking in with a little neighborhood to see how all the little friends are doing.
Leon is absolutely a beautiful animal.
and his colors are stunning, he's such a big and beautiful boy 😍😍🧡🧡
@@tiagosilva.b5 yes that is EXACTLY what I thought after this molt he is just even more majestic
From one nature enthusiast to another, I appreciate you, Brady.
Thank you as always Brady for the care you show not just to Leon but all the other creatures you encounter. It sounds corny but as a physically disabled person (arthritis) that used to be very active & loves nature, your videos are a true highlight for me. The update on Leon after his molt was exactly what I was looking for today. It's interesting to see the little ecosystem you've come to have in your home. All the adventures pond, waterfalls, lakes to see sunfish & crayfish, the antique stores etc TRULY are a lovely snippet for us all to see. Your camera work really is amazing to show all the details of Leon!! Thank you again Brady for all you share with us the "Lobsterites"😂🦞💗🇨🇦

Awesome toolgirl! Thanks for checking out Leon’s story. ✌️✌️✌️🦞
I am a full Leon stan.
This is more important than my doctors office visit
You are so sweet to try and help that fish. Your compassion is an inspiration.
The first video was an answer to a question we've all pondered. You've kept the core of what makes this channel so special and I appreciate that.
Edit: I'm so glad there's such a wholesome response to Leon and I think I've learned more about lobsters than any other way I could.
It was so cool watching that anemone grab the food. It was also neat seeing how determined Leon was to get that peice of shrimp. Glad all your cats are doing well. Your Venus fly traps look pretty.
For the strays, get a motion sensor sprinkler and set it up where you don't want them. Won't take them long after getting wet to decide that your yard is not a good place to hang out.
👍
That is exactly what I came here to say.
I'm blown away by how invested I am with leon and his tank mates . thanks Brady , looking forward to the next episode
I appreciate someone that's willing to spend their money and then drive an hour to attempt to help a little fish. You're a good person. Leon is one lucky lobster.
18:42 Leon rubbing his eyes is so cute!!!!
Good to see Leon, looking large and in charge
I love the opening song. After so many videos of Leons journey that sound keys you in to another relaxing time watching him grow.
Leon is my favourite friend, thank you Brady for save a lobster, I also wanna save all lobsters in the World, nice job man! 👍🏻
I always feel better about the world after a Leon video. Thank you!
ikr 🥺
Leon’s story is the most fascinating, satisfying and compelling story that just keeps on evolving.
You truly have a good heart…travelling back an hour to try to take the hook out of that fish. Sure wish there were more people like that in the world👍🏼🤝
Regarding the neighbors cat, and I have done this... trap, neuter, ear tag and return. The ear tag (cut off an ear tip) is to let any future vet know that his cat has been 'processed'. Once neutered he may may have less desire to hang out in your backyard. Everything I have described is perfectly legal in Georgia. My reason for doing this was to prevent even more kittens in the neighborhood. As a side benefit, I suspect the owner of "Big Papa" (my name for him) is keeping him closer to home now as he has only been spotted once in the last year. Kudo's to you for giving Leon a new lease on life. I watch all of his videos.
So you took someone's cat and had it fixed and ear mutilated for your own satisfaction without the actual owners consent? Sounds pretty illegal to me
I love how Leon's home has become an entire little ecosystem for other creatures as well! I also love how you tried to help that fish, keep it up!
Omg did any ones heart squeeze remembering Leon in the box from the market memory, I choked up a little just thinking about how it looked so defeated, now its thriving in a whole eco system built just for it ... we love you Leon!

Love leon ❤ Got an authentic mug, it makes the days in the office better and everyone wants to hear the story 😂
I love how you take care of the "pests" in the aquarium too. Most people get rid of them but you give them a chance like you did for Leon.
Your cinematography is spectacular and rivals many award-winning documentaries. There are so many things which draw us in and bring added facets to overall intimate experience. Leon is a stunning gent. I cherish my big black full color mug and am using it as a stand for a mini USB fan.
B, you are a gifted hero who didn't just save a life but bring a whole microcosm to us, the content-hungry audience. Schools would so benefit from every episode and you're going from strength to strength.
As it's too warm to wear my hoodies, but (am secretly) conflicted about the possibility that you might introduce a line of premium merch - beach towels and plushy blankets. (Can you hear my unsubtle hint? 😂🎉). For now, I am going to settle for a DIY wool tapestry embroidery projects - printing my favorite screen shots including splitting an image into quarters on separate canvases for an abstract effect on raw burlap and will use my favorite embroidery premium wool this winter to meditate as I complete them.
As to the tom-catto ... since you posed the question... I know what I would do (I expect a backlash, but do be it as a honest response to a question) - capture, spay and release after full healing. It may also be done by (possibly) a local feral cat rescue for a nominal donation. It's for the catto's own safety/safer/longer life and benefit of all around it. 🤷♀️🕊
Victrola you are a unique and wonderful mind! ✌️✌️✌️
Many wonderful comments. Especially like this one and agree about the tomcat - capture, neuter, release. Thanks for your beautiful videos. Look forward to every one. Bless you and all the cats and bless Leon.
I posted the same thing about the cat. Neuter and release. It's the right thing to do. Too bad his "owners" aren't doing the responsible thing.
@@Bradybrandwood Its cool to watch it on my big screen and turn off the lights. Feels like you at the movies!
I know I'd want to TNR the cat too, but I'd worry about the legality of it. It's the right thing to do, but it's also altering another person's property and could be problematic there.
I came for the Lobster, but commenting on the kitty. If that white cat becomes a problem, there are rescue groups that will catch, neuter the cat and release it back to where they caught it. They usually clip the tip of one of their ears to make it easy to tell if they have been “fixed”. Though neutering does not always eliminate spraying.
👍
Incredible to see how complete and thoughtful you are of all parts of nature. A real inspiration too see and reinvigorates me to get back out there sooner rather than later
Seeing Leon show up in my feed always makes me so happy! I really enjoyed the scenery and touring around today, too. Such pretty country! As for the unneutered cat... if you don't know who it belongs to, you can always do a TNR (trap, neuter, release) and that way at least he's not out there tormenting your cats. Would probably help with some of the smackfests between your lot, too.
It’s fascinating to see Leon take smelts from your fingers, showing neither fear nor aggression. He does learn and he knows he’s the undisputed king of his domain. You are a source of tasty food and maybe entertainment.
Leon looks much happier now.
The Leon's colors looks vivid and beautiful. You are doing a great job taking care of him.
I'm so glad to see Leon doing so well after his molt! @6:20 I felt so bad for the little Anemone when the crab stole his pellet!! I have come to really enjoy the adventures of the tank!! Thank you for sharing your Lobster Tales with us!! ❤
P.S. @10:25 I would maybe try to talk to the neighbor that owns the male cat and explain that their cat is spraying on your door, and could they please keep him indoors.
Beautiful video ❤
Thank you for trying to save the little fish.❤
I never thought I’d be this invested in a lobster. Watching his growth has been so interesting! I’m glad him and his tank mates are thriving💕
The worst thing about watching a Leon video is knowing I have to wait a while until the next one…such great content!!
It's interesting, I kind of miss the days of waiting until the next week or the next literal season to view the next episode of a TV series. But then again, we didn't have the option to watch it on our own time, we had to set time aside to watch it live. You couldn't pause it or skip any of the advertisements (and there were a LOT of them), and don't get me started on messing with the television antennae in order to get a descent picture (and there were still glitches and static every now and then, even after all the messing about. We'd be at it for a good 10 minutes at a time just to get the station to work).
Plus, there was attempting to figure out the remote control, if you had a fancy screen. There were times when the audio would turn itself on (you know, the audio dialogue for the blind) and the subtitles would randomly appear, and sometimes they were in Spanish. I learned a lot of Spanish words from those subtitles, haha!
All that to say I agree with you, waiting for a Leon video is the only bad thing about it, albeit reminiscent of slower days before the internet.
You're a FANTASTIC filmmaker! Leon has made some major strides. I wonder what his weight is now. You've cultivated an awesome life for yourself! And what a GREAT example you set for all!!
This has developed into the most wholesome channel for me. I love watching Leon of course but also all of your other interactions with the wildlife or the home cats and the chicken visitors. Sad that the chicken went back home, it was a nice addition to your home. ☺ So glad you tried to help the fish and remove the hook but he wouldn't want you to. Poor thing. The river under water footage was also so interesting and the little mini-Leon. Fauna is so versatile.
Leon has come so far in trusting you, it’s adorable
So...I just bought a Jeep Cherokee trailhawk and was looking up trails and tips on RUclips. Up pops the Leon notification and the trails can wait. My priorities are straight! Thanks so much for the update and the beautiful video!

Brady, when I listen to your voice as you narrate I am reminded of the Disney nature documentaries i saw as a kid. You sound just like the narrator on those Disney nature films. I’m definitely subscribing! This was such a calming yet captivating video! (Hello from Oregon btw)

Seems like he was being gentle when you were hand feeding. I think he really knows the difference between the tongs and you.

Wow he is so pretty! His colors so bright ❤
I stopped eating lobster because of Leon! ❤ I remember the video when he brought him home and cut the rubber bands off his claws and how lifeless and lethargic he was so it’s beautiful to see him now and what he has become a beautiful lobster to bad he can’t hold him and stroke him! Leon has developed an amazing trust for his owner! ❤❤
Leon has flourished in your care. You brought him back from the brink of death and he has exceeded all expectations. The lobster & crab fishery industry needs to change. Clearly, the public and governing agencies aren't aware how highly intelligent these creatures are and how poorly they are handled, abused, then slaughtered so inhumanely.
Awe! He's so gentle when he takes the food out of your hands!

What a beautiful act of kindness. It breaks my heart when I see the agony and hopelessness of lobsters in a grocery store tank... Go Leon!
I saw 2 fighting in a small tank just yesterday even with tied claws. It's heartbreaking 💔
I used to work in a grocery store deli. Next to us was the meat department, and every so often, they'd have the live lobster sales. Hundreds of live lobsters shipped in. People buying them to kill them. I felt so bad dude. I wanted to steal them and save at least one, but I'm as landlocked as can be, and don't have the time or space for a saltwater setup.
