When I was young, I was also using plastic to reduce work. But now I am trying to honor Mother Earth by using as little plastic or none of it where possible. Plastic does not breakdown for decades and even after decades they become microcrystalline polluting water and soil forever.
Yes true.
I also think the same.. I avoid using disposables unless its absolutely necessary. Eg. if I get/make pizza, burger etc I will use disposables for a change and reduce work but for everyday Indian food, I use glass dishes only.
I also don't use plastic. Everyone have to stop using plastic because it is hard motherearth and oceans animals.
So nice of you i also don’t buy plastic anymore and especially single use ones no ziplocks no plastic wraps either

Hi payal , I am from Massachusetts, you are doing really good with the channel .
But I want to share few tips with you , that should help you a lot .
1) Three of you should get your own water bottles , prefer steel or glass . You can literally drink from it all day . Refill it .
2) I wash and chop and store all my vegetables on Saturdays . Even tons on ginger and garlic . That helps a lot
3.) don’t use paper or plastic plates or glasses that is not a permanent solution. And not good for the earth too. Try using minimal utensils while cooking . Also washing the dishes right after you have used it , doesn’t let the wash basin to get full.
4.) even we are out of wipes , what I do is , I keep a bottle of detol at home. Cleaning the packed stuff with 1 tsp of detol in 2 cups of water in spray bottle. It works well and lasts way much longer .

Awesome tips Dear, I follow the same steps instead of bottles I use water glasses. I stick the tab labels with everyone's initials for the day on their glasses. I do not use dishwasher instead I have trained my husband and kids to wash their own plates and cups after every meal. By doing this I only have pots and pans to wash by hand. You have such a nice balcony, try doing some yoga/pranayama out there in the morning . It will help with the migraine/headaches.

Aap grocery ko balcony mein bhi rakh sakte ho before cleaning and balcony mein clean karke kitchen mein le ayo. and disinfectant wipes amazon mein baar baar show hote hain. aap ko frequently refresh karke dekhna padega . you will be able to order them.

Grocery haul dekhke majja aa gaya.Paper plate n hot cups is definitely a good idea.Take care n be safe.
Please dont wash vegetables with soap,detoil or detergent, it's unhealthy to eat those items..wash only with hot water with Rock salt...if you want, please check with any nutrition doctors suggestion as well
How are you today my friend. You are absolutely right, kaj bhishon bhishon bere geche. It has been ages that I came to this land but I still remember how the sizes surprised me too. There were no smart phones back then (as my son now calls me oldy goldy 😂) so I used to email my baba and wrote to him “ekhane grocery store e chicken er size dekhe mone hoy shokun , peyaj aamar mathar thekeo boro, aalu je eto boro hoy ke janto, r oven dekhe mone hoy ekta cupboard “ . Me too converted the prices to rupees and got shocked, but then my husband taught me that probably I cannot buy anything if I go on converting & comparing prices like this. Really I still laugh aloud when I think of those days.

Hey Di instead of using disinfectant wipe buy a bottle of dettol and then in a spray bottle add detol and water to dilute the concentrate.... use this as a disinfectant... just spray once or twice on the things which you want to clean following by wiping it with kitchen towel or any other dry cloth

Hey Payal..I always like the way you speak and this is the first time I am making a comment, because the option to use plastic and paper glasses/plates is definitly not a good idea. We as an individual are responsible for this environment. So why don't you use water bottles instead? You can have copper water bottle for whole day. I hope it won't harm to use the same bottle whole day and every family member can wash their own every morning. Just to go Environment Friendly. Else you are just awesome!!! Keep going!!!

Everyone is at home now. imagine if everyone said the same thing. theres more house work so lets all start using plastic... why dont you use reuse-able glass/BPA free plastic bottles? you can wash this once a day...
You can always wash the pans and reuse them again.

Jo cereal and snaks ke box hai usko aap box se nikal lo without touching the cereal bag.....so you don't have to disinfect the boxes that's what I do.

Hi Payal ji.. I am happy that you are sharing your groceries.. I have a tip for you.. Instead of using plastic glasses for water you can buy premium quality multiple time use plastic glasses with lids which everybody can have of their own.. So no need to wash them after every use..

Leave the dry groceries in some extra place for atleast 2 days then through tbe cartons and place sealed packets in pantry. instead of using wipes .
Make a disinfecting solution with original dettol liquid mixed with water in a spray bottle .its economical and effectiv easy to use everywhere.

Payal I will suggest you get a rubbing alcohol. You can use it for wiping the things if you Are Not able get disinfectant wipes. Rubbing alcohol works same. We also use it.

Hi! Payal I agree with you husband ghar mai ho to unke liye kuch na kuch banake dena chai ya snacks. Mere husband bhi gahr se kam kar rahe hai almost 3 months ho jayenge. Pata nahi kab sab theek hoga pray kar sakte hai aur kuch nahi kar sakte.

Hi Payal, it's not a great option to use disposable cutlery to avoid washing soiled cutlery. As we all know, these non degradable cutlery end up in landfills. Would appreciate if you can suggest greener solutions to house hold challenges.

hi di, I also did that thing about money. whenever I bought groceries or anything I used to calculate in Indian rupees and I told my husband he said that doesn't count in Indian rupees if you count in rupees you never bought the vegetables or anything. so sometimes like you that my new days in the USA it was really mesmerizing.
