SR22 is my dream single-engine plane!
My 2006 SR22 G2 costs a total of $7000/mo for all fixed and variable costs for 230 hrs/yr. That includes $2K for the payment.
Headline says SR22T - never even mentioned in the video.

Private pilots dont fly for money (or shouldnt be) assume the AI voice meant "corporate or privately owned or independent commerical rated pilots"
I put a 160K deposit (before release) on a G7 and now I am filled with regret. Same old power plant, NO FADEC, and a completely ridiculous price tag. You don't have to read many of the professional pilot's comments to figure out the G7 fell short of high expectations. IMHO, as a new pilot the Cirrus is overwhelming and unsafe. In general, the Cirrus experience has been less than satisfactory. New pilots, do your homework before you get sucked in...

It's about time Cirrus starts using JetA as fuel.
The will be some feat, it will need to have a different engine fitted. That will mean re certification unless they can do this on an STC.

@@aroopghosh1381 You really think that the Aviation Authorities will just let them drop that in with no recertification? Please that aircraft has Public Transport Certification, you can’t touch a thing on it unless you are a certified engineer. As I said Cirrus would need at least to apply for an STC ( Supplementary Type Certification) for that to happen. If the authorities are a bit of a pain they might ask for full type certification. Both of those options come at a cost. At the very least a new POH would be needed, new maintenance schedules, the list goes on. It’s not a car……

That’s true, but they’re just an investor in this case. Every employee is American. It’s built in America. It was designed and engineered before China got involved. I wish China was not connected at all, but this is a rare case where its ownership doesn’t impact quality in any way.

@@The_ZeroLine You saved this comment. I am in love with the Cirrus, and hope to get one someday but that was definitely a buzzkill if China was overheading everything. Nothing like American built Aircraft.
