I do have some "cringe" issues with the fact that a turboprop is faster than than one of these jets and it has a greater range than both of these jets. The early Cessna Citations used to get picked on for their underwhelming performance specs. They were called "Slow-tations" and "Nearjets" as some turboprops like the Piper Cheyenne 400LS could beat up a Citation 500 on the schoolyard. The only "plus" factor for these light jets is maybe the price. The Eclipse, having 2 engines, has a faster cruise, of course. Both jets beat the TBM in terms of cost. If I was in the market and currently in a turboprop or a high-performance piston and I really wanted to get into a jet, I wouldn't bother with these jets. I would go straight for the Embraer Phenom 300E. Otherwise, I would stay in the turboprop and wait until I was able to make that move. The old adage applies: you get what you pay for most of the time. But to each their own.
The government doesn’t require insurance on airplanes - I’ve never had insurance on any of mine.. But if you borrow money to buy it the bank will.. And many airports will require liability insurance if you park the airplane there.

The Cirrus VisionJet was purchased out of the bankruptcy of Eclipse Aviation which pioneered the “million dollar jet” market with the Eclipse 500 but couldn’t deliver on the price it contracted with hundreds of buyers to build its 6 pax twin engine jet. The Eclipse 400 sat in the showroom in the hangar at Albuquerque Airport - a beautiful red mock-up of the fuselage with the V-tail and Williams F-44 engine perched at an angle just like you see it today.

And you are wrong. Just owing a big amount of money does not mean you have any income. You can just inherit 2 million and there you are, not being able to buy and actually run it.
Not a pilot, but I have seen the stats on this plane, and I’m really wondering why anybody would want one. Admittedly, I could be wrong, but it seems to be one of the most inefficient jets on the market. Slowest climb rate, slowest acceleration with one of highest fuel consumption rates. I don’t get it.
first, you need to get your private pilot's license, which can cost upwards of $12,000 in the end, and then a bunch of certifications. In fact, A pilot "license" is actually a certificate.
I have owned several airplanes over the last 40 years. The government doesn't require insurance but if you finance the airplane, those who hold the mortgage on it will probably require proof you insured it to protect their interest. Lots of assumptions made in this video which are not reality.

ليش الاغنياء ما يشترون اللعبه الحلوه هاذي. اتمنى ان تكون معاي و اطير بها بين المطارات في دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي و اليمن.
This is how I explain it to my 5 year old.
1900 pounds per foot of torque? Its a jet.
I went to the Williams website, and the FJ-33-4A-19 produces 1,568# of thrust.
I stopped watching at this point. This is fundamental data.
What a brilliantly informative video.
My own opinion is if you can afford, almost $2000000 dollars for a private jet then you can afford to run it!!
Anyway, I've just purchased one of these for £20.99 (for Microsoft flight simulator 2020) :p
Liked and subbed :)
And you are wrong. Just owing a big amount of money does not mean you have any income. You can just inherit 2 million and there you are, not being able to buy and actually run it.
Which is why rentals and fractional ownership options exist.
it is NOT "pound per foot." Lb/ft describes a spring constant. Force per distance. "Pound foot" or "foot pound" is Lb*Ft. Completely different.
Does it have the auto land system?
The new ones do. I think it's been in for a few years but can't remember how long exactly.
The government doesn’t require insurance on aircraft in the USA.
The safety
Does it have a two-engine option?
no, but it still can cruise at around 300 knots
Ill take one.....to go...please!
only $1,625.00 per hour plus plus plus... /Im an A&P WE WERE LUCKY TO GET $20.00 per hour at small airports.
Sorry to pile on but Jets don’t burn “Gasoline”
Pound per foot of torque? You just made this engineer throw up in his mouth a little..
انا اريد اتعلم اطير فيها بنفسي
Thanks
🔥🔥🔥
What license is required for this kind of aircraft?
first, you need to get your private pilot's license, which can cost upwards of $12,000 in the end, and then a bunch of certifications. In fact, A pilot "license" is actually a certificate.
very cute aircraft.
What crew?
Great video, Thanks
I have owned several airplanes over the last 40 years. The government doesn't require insurance but if you finance the airplane, those who hold the mortgage on it will probably require proof you insured it to protect their interest. Lots of assumptions made in this video which are not reality.
Holy crap, how rich are you
So i have to charge roughly almost 10,000 per flight so i can make money. Idk sounds way over my head.
The range is just over 1150 miles
Costs: If you have to ask, you can't afford it....
Anyone buying a private jet is running the numbers, no matter their earnings. They buy it because it makes sense financially.
I WILL HAVE A CUSTOM BLACK AND NEON GREEN ONE BY JUNE 3RD 2025
i’ll take 5 of these please….
This aircraft has more than a few similarities to the failed Visionaire jet of 30-ish years ago, even the name.
The chute is great
Oddly… this jet could have made money if you bought it early.
The USA doesn't require insurance on private aircraft.
