How to Fix Chromecast "Can't Connect to WiFi"

- In this video, I will quickly guide you on how you can fix if your Chromecast cannot connect to WiFi.
1) First thing to simply check is your Internet connection itself
2) Secondly, try to factory reset the Chromecast
3) Press the small side button on the back of your Chromecast while still plugged into the TV
4) It will take some while to reboot the Chromecast
5) Follow the instructions on the setup page.
6) Select WiFi and forget it.
7) Now come back to the home screen and setup everything from first
8) This time you can go ahead and select the WiFi.
9) In this way, you can easily connect your Chromecast to WiFi.

my device didn't have a reset button or a secondary connection but i was able to reboot by pulling the input cable out of the device jack and putting it back in. Rebooting was the key and it worked.

Did all of those steps, its connects to the wifi. As soon as it connects , it says somethings wrong. My wifi works perfectly fine. And the modem is right next to tv. It used to work perfectly fine before now it cant seem to fix this

I did. I reseted tv and chromcast and the hub. It worked. I thiught I did it before with no success. Now is working

My chromecast device is already built into my tv . How would I reset it? I have reseted my tv with it unplugged from power chord, router and phone nothing is working. Both tv and phone are on the same wifi network. Nothing is working!!!!

THANKS BRO!! can’t believe I couldn't find a reset button on my chromecast on my own but after watching your video and seeing where you reset the chromecast I double looked with the flashlight and there was so dumb going through all this hassle trying to set it up so thank you very much I now have chromecast I got my Hulu and my Netflix hooked up to it which I didn't before because this isn't a smart TV thank you brother

I tried all of this to no avail. I now have two of them that are not working in a span of 3 months. I swear, Google sent something out to make them not work. I had them both for about two years, now they just stopped connecting?!?! Everything else in my household works just fine. Now I have to buy a new one just to test it.

Did a reset exactly as shown, but when I try to cast a video to my TV , no joy. My wife's cell phone can cast to this TV just fine, but I can not. 😢 Any suggestions?

Never had problems until google bought this out
I have reset the chromecast but it still stays "Network problem". But our internet is just working fine. I dont know what the technical issue is...

Never gets to the part with the code on screen.. 2 hours later.
Turns out it was the ad blocking app in phone that was stopping it from getting to next step.. new modem made me have to set it all back up.. all good now..

If it still doesn't work after all that, try unplugging the chromecast and connect it directly into a laptop using the USB port. Make sure laptop is connected to the internet. And then click through the full setup again. Ended up working for me!
Hi I did all those steps but when it goes to connect to wifi network it says chrome6928 so I push that then it says connecting chrome6928 to your wifi then it says sorry cannot connect to wifi. My wifi working good but when I go to check my wifi status it says it's on the chrome6928??? I need help. I noticed in ur setup you got to choose your wifi network mine had to choose the chrome.

i got my friend the chromecast but he recently upgraded his wifi to faster speed and now has a different router his chromecast now wont connect to the new wifi and he perform a factory reset three times before he upgraded his wifi it was fine can you help

Followed all HELP online google troubleshooting. My Netcomm is live. But still no Chromecast. I read that in 2020 Google stopped support and supports google TV with chromecast, . How do I know if my chromecast is redundant? Thankyou

What worked for me was to set it up on another TV if you have one. I tried for over 2 hours with no success, then I tried it on my TV in the rec room and it worked instantly.

Solved it by leaving chromecast on for 5 to 10 hours and then tried again to connect and it worked. Before that I tried everything and it didnt work.

Hi All!!! I did all this but it did not work! But I did all the steps he shared again and then added a new chromocast device on my home app. That made it worked. You'll just have to add new device and diaregard the old one

Factory reset it & unplugged my wifi for 30 seconds. Didn't work. Literally the only thing that worked is restarting my phone. Hilarious.
