I have figured the 2 step out. When I foot brake the car I’m only on the front 2 barrels of carb, when I was using 2 step I floored it open all 4 up. More power at same RPM and it would over power converter. I will just foot brake the car until I get a trans brake.

Joe, just wondering if you ever thought about a cool can setup with dry ice? You get a much denser fuel shot. I know it's old school racing but when temps are up you will really see a difference. Love the car. The '68 GTS is one of the best to race. Light and quick.

Get rid of the 2 step and stay with the foot brake or trans brake.
I only had one auto car in all that I stripped, and I only foot braked. I later tested a trans brake a friend had and actually thought it was a step up from the foot braking.
Ol' skool ice box help on you hot days? When the track could handle it I found it to work great.

My cam is bout same size as yours but more duration and super tight 105 sep. I could be wrong about my car being faster but my last pass was 7.01 1/8th at 96.8mph. Whats yours convert to for 1/8th. Ive hit 98.2mph in 1/8th with a tighter converter but less et. Years ago an elcamino with a 502cid engine was running same times as me. The guy walked up and asked what engine and said 351w then he asked how much nitrous was I using lol. This was 20 years ago but my car is still good.
