I remember this opening quite well. My nanny would bring the house to silence everyday at 1:00 to watch All My Children. The rest of the day she didn't care what we watched or how loud we were, but when her soap came on, it was either be quiet on the couch, take a nap, or go outside.
I never watched this show, but goodness, this was quite the nostalgic toetapper The mix of soft piano and guitar goes surprisingly well, and the picture book closing is just… 😙👌
This was my mamas "stories". You were either a channel 6 or channel 8 (ABC) soaps person. My mom was channel 8. Mama would watch All My Children and One Life To Live. Those were the days!!
What I love about this opening is that it seems to flow, like no connection is too outlandish (aside from Brot/Palmer obviously lol) and that current romantic partners and storylines are close together. I especially love Liza and Tad next to each other. :)
So glad to see Greenlee edited in (and cutting between Ryan and Erica, AKA RyICKA). OPAL! Yes she deserves that spot :). I love how they extended Tad and Annie's shots. I suppose this opening won't be staying for long. They have to add Madison, Damon, and nuColby. I hope they shoot new HD shots that coincide with the Los Angeles move...
I love that they didn't purely rehash old footage. The first Greenlee shot's a bit extended, the second one is repurposed. Annie's new, from what we've seen before, but it's about time they shoot brunette footage of her, as much as she's engulfed the show. And a brand new Opal shot! YESSS!!! Glad Jack is still included, been worried about him. Need to remove: Zach, Joe, Palmer. Need to add: Colby, Damon, Madison.

She watchez it every day, but often fast-fowards the intro on her d.v.r. cuz she sez she's seen it sooo many times, but sumtimez watches this if they added a new cast member. My dad thinks the characters in this soap opera don't do anything (they don't have jobs/occupations) just eat @ resturaunts and go to each others houses and shit.
Oh, and I really appreciate the expanding of Tad's first shot where there's actually a point of it being there. And the adding of the background back in behind Krystal. I hated how her shot was transparent. If they would've fixed the Joe shot this opening would be damn near perfect.
Brooke English is coming back in Febuary for a three month stint. Hopefully it's abit longer though cause I miss the whole Erica/Brooke drama between those two. =) Information is from Soapnet for whoever wants to know.

Oh yeah, it is about damn time they bumped down Ryan. I do not like his character one bit. Kendall should have followed as the first picture after Erica, but I can handle Greenlee being in that position too. I guess AMC did it as an appreciation thing for Rebecca coming back home to where she belongs.
