We're working hard to increase the production output of our BAMF 2's. Fingers crossed we'll be able to get some in stock soon! In the meantime, email orders are always welcome.

Great video and very informative BUT.. I've just used the servo installation method for my FX, using thick CA for the adhesive. After allowing it to dry I found 2 of the 4 (A08N) servos were seized solid! I managed to prise them out and on close inspection could see no sign of any adhesive on or near the servo gear. On dismantling the servo I found that a tiny amount of the CA had wicked into the case, through its joint and glued one of the internal gears to the casing. Thankfully only two of the four had suffered. A word of warning!!

Sorry to hear that! We've never experienced that in all our RR assemblies, but that's certainly a potential issue. An option is to first wrap the servos in PVC heat shrink.

Just had a hellish pm.. tried installing kst x06ns using similar technique as shown at 06:50. Roughed up side, checked neutral with servo checker, medium cyano to attach, thin piano wire pushrod installed with drop thin cyano to keep in place. Plug back into servo checker to see all is well, but it wasn’t. Acting like it had epilepsy. Other servos checked out okay on checker…. Had to get it out from balsa pod and cf boom fuselage by pushing hobby knife blade under with small screw driver.
Experimenting with duff servo on balsa scrap. Wrapping in Kaplan tape or masking tape the Med cyano got thru and stuck to servo, should be able to cut tape and get out, couldn’t. Now trying 5 min epoxy, but awaiting results…. :-)
Guess one or other cyanos entered xt06 and caused the problem…

Sorry about the color wash, had the wrong settings.
I'm nowhere near capable of showing just how capable this glider is but hopefully seeing it in the hands of an average pilot will help encourage more to give it a try.

You didn’t show us your method of getting all your servo wires lined up and looking perfect.

I'll have to get that in a future video, seems like there's a bit of interest in that.

    Thank for this great tutorial.
Just one question. How do you change the CA glued servos when needed? Will CA debounder work?
    Thanks again.

      You’re so welcome!
To change the servo, just twist it sharply with a pair of pliers and it’ll come right off.

Following your instructions closely while assembling mine. Why don't you sand the boom before gluing the rudder fin? Just want to make sure I heard that part right before gluing mine.

You can do it either way. Even if unsanded the fin will break before the joint, unsanded will make it a bit easier to remove if you need to replace it later.

Great job building my BAMF2 Thomas, flies perfectly.
    Fit and finish is superb.
Highly recommend anyone looking for a 1.5m DLG consider the BAMF2, I am so happy with mine, couldn't ask for more.
Check out my videos to see it in the air.
