Correction: Kalusha Bwalya is still very much alive. He's the only surviving member of the 1993 team because he was playing in the Netherlands for PSV at the time and didn't fly with the rest of the team from Zambia. Nowadays he mostly does a bunch of pundit work and is still very involved in developing and promoting Zambian football.
Also, it's "Chipolopolo", not "Chipololopolo" (you added an extra "lo") 😅
    Otherwise, great video as always!

Great video Barbs! But, unfortunately, there are some inaccurate portions that seemed to have made their way into the video. Below are a few that I spotted:
📌2:51 - The demarcation shown on the map between the Muchinga and Eastern Provinces is outdated.
📌 16:23 - Unfortunately, the Kwacha notes shown here are outdated by over ten years.
📌23:21 - Kalusha Bwalya did not perish in a plane crush and is still very much alive and in good health.
📌 23:38 - It is not pronounced as "Chipololopolo" or even "Shepololopolo" but rather "Chipolopolo" and "Shepolopolo", respectively (minus one "lo"; still a mouthful, I know - but it means a lot in our collective culture).
📌 25:46 - "Lobola" is not paid to the bride but rather to her family. The name is also different from one ethnic group to another, with the more common term (at least in my personal opinion) being "nsalam" or "insalam" (I stand to be corrected).
These are only a few of quite a number of inconsistencies made in this video. Regardless, I personally believe that they are honest mistakes. Zambia is not a very well known country and it is very much understandable for a RUclipsr of your calibre to have had errored here and there. There are no hard feelings on my end; I just felt that I should bring this to your attention.
Thank you for covering my country. Good luck as you cruise on to Zimbabwe, the FINAL country!

As many have already mentioned, Kalusha Bwalya was the number one player at the time, but wasn't on the flight. The substitute team was hurriedly built around him, and they nearly made it to the World Cup in USA in 1994 (which they certainly would have qualified for, if not for the disaster). Another blooper: you gave one too many syllables in "Chipolopolo". And delighted that Zamrock was not forgotten!

Hungarian sausage was such a big thing growing up! Like your chicken and chips in the west! In Zambia the first and most popular option is chips (fries- preferably fresh cut) and Hungarian sausage! It’s the spice.. I haven’t had sausage like it, I also live in the U.K. and often shop at the polish/ Eastern European stores, they sell sausage similar, but nothing like the one back home!
