I’ll admit that I’ve done that when I was younger. License was suspended over a ticket I couldn’t pay. I’m now a c.d.l driver and have never lost it again. 1 hour in jail did it for me never again 😂
I'm glad that they are enforcing the handicap parking rule, a lot of people like to park in a handicap spot without a placard and it is just so annoying to see that. they deserve those citations

This video is the most beautiful thing in the world. My mother is a wheelchair user who is completely unable to walk. When we go somewhere and all the disabled parking is full, we have to turn around. We have no other option. We HAVE to have a parking space with room on the side to load and unload. It is not a matter of convenience, it is a necessity. Able-bodied people have no idea what it's like.
If you know you're cheating, than why would you drive through a checkpoint? Just park in normal parking. People will do anything to save on parking fees.

For this its not being lazy to walk. Its free parking Handicap permits allow you to park in any public place for free so long as it is a legal parking spot
i was at that race and live in Florida and here the placard has your Florida driver License number on it and come with a registration and i had it with me sad part the 10 cars in front of me were all getting tickets
My uncle is handicapped and can park in handicapped parking spots, but even he barely uses it because he says that he can still walk and move around and some people are in worst condition than he is and he leaves them for those who really need it. On icy conditions he'll sometimes use it because he had a knee surgery and hip replacement so in colder weather he aches more and is prone to slipping and falling more too. He'll even use a cane sometimes as well. In warmer and dryer weather/seasons he has no issue walking a little more to places. He enjoys the walk. But then there are some people not handicapped at all and it really pisses me off. What's the matter having to walk a bit to a store or to a game?? People like that take their mobility for granted, and are just lazy. My own uncle who is qualified to use the space only uses it when he really needs it because it's true, there are people who need special walkers, people that can't walk for too long etc.
I would think someone like yourself would be ok with this. People who use these illegally only make it more difficult for people like yourself. I wonder how many people pay the fines. Some just ignore it and wait until they are caught, which may take years or never. They suspend their license and they continue to drive until they may be caught.
I dropped my dad(his car and placard) off at a Walmart and went to go get his Subway sandwich’s. When I came back, I parked in the handicap section and got out to help him with the groceries. This lady saw me getting out the car and commented on me abusing the parking spot. I ignored her, but was I in the wrong? Should I have blocked the fire lane to load the groceries with my dad?
My fiancé sometimes uses her mom’s (who is disabled) car which has placards. We never use it partly because it’s wrong and mostly because it’s easy to forget about. $1000?! Damn.
A lot of people take advantage using peoples handicapped cards. 20 yr old girls in high heels walking to the dance club, the hockey players carrying their equipment. Ive only personally seen 2 people that were truly handicapped. And most construction workers have these handicapped stickers .. they can afford parking.
Good deal. They give those placards out pretty easy. Some people don't really need them to begin with. Some need to park in the furthest spaces away with there placards. It may do them some good.

Law Enforcement agencies need to put the following policy in place:. If you show your badge to try to get out of doing something illegal, beyond being prosecuted for the illegal thing, no law enforcement agency can promote you for 5 years.
Our area is very close, our fire department (as most of our area does) issues us identification cards and license plates, which have their perks. However if we misuse the leeway and courtesy given, by our own police, or area police, our chief hears about it, and if our chief hears about it, boy do we ever hear about it.
