I've been in physical therapy for 6 weeks. They have me do the wall lean but they made me put my "bad" side up against the wall. I'm in SO much pain when I leave. I'm going to try it this way.
I’ve commented on maybe 2 RUclips videos in my whole life, but I can’t pass this one up - holy cow, how does this work so well?!? I’ve had excruciating low back pain for two days which I thought was maybe a herniated disc, so I tried what I thought was every back stretch and yoga pose to get relief to no avail. Then I found this video and these SIMPLE exercises are like MAGIC! You clearly know your stuff - the little tweaks make a huge difference. I’ll be watching this video and doing the exercises more than once a day. Thank you!!!
Wow, thank you for this wonderful tip, Michael! Thank you also for the above link that you provided for easy access to your videos. I truly appreciate your time and effort, good sir!😊👍
Hi! I did the leaning to wall exercise, that so far has given me relief especially during a sciatica flare up. Usually my sciatica is worst when i wake up in the morning especially during a flare up. Do you have any videos for warm ups we can do in bed just upon waking up? I’d really appreciate it. Thank you.
Thank you for all of the content Dr. Rowe. Do you have a video on a general priming routine for warming up the back, hips, legs, knees, etc before doing a squat or deadlift workout? Thanks!
Ah! The wrestlers' prop has a very useful application here. The smooth surface will allow you to glide! 💡 Love this vertical version of the pelvic rocker/tilt❣️
thank you for this video, Dr. Rowe. I have a herniated disc and these exercises are helping me. the oddity that i have though is that a lot of these stretches cause tingling through my leg, almost like it's asleep and waking up. any idea what this means? i also sometimes have sharp pains in my left toes even though the sciatica pain is concentrated in my right leg.
Great exercises. The door opener was magic. I did feel how good it was for my hip. Suffering from lower back pain since more than a year now. Doing morning yoga/stretching but nothing seem to help so far. Let’s see whether your exercises do the trick. 😊
You’re the best! Liked and subbed a while ago. I’m sorry to be that guy asking questions in the comments, what does it mean when I have the pain around my SI joint, and slight sciatica sensations, when getting back on to my feet after decompression? I understand if it’s too tricky to answer over the comments! Thanks! Cheers!
goodday,Doctor Rowe!,I have an issue about the hip bone, when I was 13 I used to do yoga and hurt the right back side of my hip, after that if I do a bit more hip movement, the post superior iliac spine spot are going to feel sore and pain,if I may get help from you, pleaase.
Hello Doctor..My name is Reshma and I'm from the Netherlands.3 weeks back I got severe back pain and visited the hospital. They gave me pain killer injection and tablet. Also they suggested to the physical therapist assistant.I also visited physiotherapist here and they said it's hernia but not recommended for MRI anything.and asked to continue medicine and visit after 3 weeks ..Now my problem is..I have pain in the left side of my lower back and after doing the exercises by the physiotherapist the pain in the left side is gone but the same pain started on the right side now.also I have leg weakness.. could you please help me to know what is really happening is it really hernia or something else..I'm really waiting for your reply sir
Please a exercise for lumbar stenosis, degenerative disk diseased no disk n last 5 vertebrae and spondylitis but had fusion on L4-s1 😢help me to stretch thus out sir!!🙏
Lay down on the edge of your bed left leg hanging off of the bed and the right leg towards your spin backwards hold your hands together and twist your body to the right towards the right of the bed that feels buitiful try it many times and it feels amazing
I think it’s important to note that it’s not going to feel pleasant while performing this. And you should only lean into your arm pit as much as you can until it gets to painful. You slowly go in farther each time. Don’t rush yourself. Even if it takes 20 sets of this stretch. Slow and steady.
Id like to add to the last one, the Cobra....is raising 1 knee up while you do that and move your upper body towards and away the knee. I do it in bed in the mornings, easier on body.
If your herniated disc is located in your cervical spine (c1 - c7) the chin tuck is your best way to relief. Also, consider buying a McKenzie cervical roll to sleep on.
Hi I currently woke and could barely walk with the pain but I was fin last night can you help me out with what could’ve happened it’s lower left lumbar and my straight leg test results in pain in 40% and up to 90% on the left
