One thing I’m personally trying to work on is commenting more on videos. RUclips is a social media platform, so being social on the platform is a big thing. Too many people overlook this in the beginning. It’s hard to grow and build a community if you’re not actively engaging with people on the platform and creating a dialogue that’s not centered around your own content. Great video :)
I always forget to comment on video's as much. I write on Medium and have build a good community there, I forget to do that over here. This is a very good point.
@@_jeanique Yes I love Medium, it's been a great side income for me as I have had a couple of viral articles and so it gave it a nice boost. I do think I am a better writer than I am on video. But now I have built my Medium up I have come back towards RUclips to see if I can work them both at the same time.
There is so little influencers out there who tells aspiring RUclipsrs to have values and missions. Most of the time they’d just tell us to follow trends so that our videos can blow up and become popular. I’m glad I found this video as this is really what I needed and wanted to hear😊

"Quality over quantity" is the only way to be part of the "signal" rather than the "noise". Dave Trott has a video called "Strategy is Sacrifice" that's worth watching. He's a big name in the advertising world. He says that - if I remember right - 85% of adverts never reach their intended audience: or in other words 000000X000000 - if you're producing '0' you're doing what everyone else is doing... the 'X' is what gets noticed. He teaches in the video a simple "planning strategy" for standing out... it applies to personal brands, not just corporate ones.
The way you explained everything made so much sense to me! I never thought about influence as much as trying to grow as fast as possible, but now I realize that influence is much more powerful! Thank you for this video! You totally changed my perspective and inspired me ❤
Ive struggled so much with staying consistent and self sabotaging to the point i feel like deleting everything after i post it. Even though i have so much to offer creatively i always feel stupid posting stuff 😵💫. Also i get anxious about it. Im not like that in real life though, just on the internet.
I’ve been feeling the same exact way! I love the end result of what I create but then feel like I need others to validate it for me to feel “accepted” or “worthy”. Hoping that we can work through these feelings and continue creating!

This is very true. I’ve made $8,500 in 5 months with only 4500 followers and I had zero followers 5 months ago. Still growing it as we speak
