THAT'S really COOL! Amazing how you operate all of those mechanisms so smoothly. I'd get so confused. Lol Love all of your shows. Hubby and I went to one in Fresno, CA years ago and loved it. We see a lot of your skits on You Tube these days.
Wow! He is Amazing and Awesome! Thank You Very Much for sharing this with everyone. the Extremely High quality of craftmanship is Exciting and Great to see. love watching you videos. :) :)
Wow he was really a head of of his time when it came to puppets with all the mechanical parts amazing i think i would really like to see more of him for sure 👍
@@AvengerII Yeah less parts that could break and wear down. I am not sure how often this dummy was used compared to nowadays like with Jeff going on tours and such.
@@TheThatoneguy12121 Jeff makes his puppets simpler in general to AVOID having breakdowns and to control the weight. This ultra-complicated puppet has to weigh a ton! I think these are the reasons you don't see those puppets anymore. The water lines were also disconnected probably to keep that puppet from corroding or getting soggy. It is wood and parts will absorb moisture or trap it and rot over time. It's an antique piece; I doubt he'll ever perform with it again. Jeff is close to 60 and although he's in excellent shape for his age he tries not to stress himself so he keeps the puppets light, too. If they're gonna do something unusual, he builds that function into the puppet like he did Walter's nephew/grandson?, Url, with the iPhone thumbs. He doesn't make his puppets utility knives to make his life easier.
@@AvengerII First off thank you for the in depth response! I appreciate it. I never really thought of how much those older dummies must weigh. I just wonder how often it was used in a months time versus nowadays like with how Jeff performs. It's amazing that it's in the condition it is. I was getting a bit nervous when he was pulling at the wrong tooth! Haha
@@TheThatoneguy12121 You're welcome! Jeff has shown bits of how he makes his puppets in his videos. I think Peanut is the only one he doesn't make himself!
It's a true piece of history as well as art. Hand Crafted figures today are much more quiet than those of the past & the sound today makes a huge difference in the technology. The craftmanship of these models were above the time if ya think about it! Getting finer with age is something that can now be achieved! Good Luck & Best Wishes :-)
Im old, and have seen the downfall of craftsmanship. People can say im stuck in the past, and im ok with that, because i still use modern things. My house and most things in it are from the early 1900s, and unlike IKEA things, they last. Like your Dummy, you can see the craftsmanship that went into it.
In his bio he wrote he doesn't like gimmicks in his act, which this kinda is. He mostly does them just for "entertainment", but not for his kind of comedy. Like the five voices and drinking while speaking bit. I assume if he'd resurrect him/them, only as a side part of his act, as an attraction.
Wow, just wow. Jeff you need to bring these wonderful works of art back onto the big stage and do a period sketch. Who knows, in 90 years time some talented ventriloquist will re-perform Bubba... Just so long as NASCAR and beer still exist...
Thank you Jeff for sharing this video with the world it's amazing,,, You are amazing,, keep up the great work and entertaining all the people you visit in the world,,, I've been following you for years,,say hello to all your assistance for me ,,, thank you ,,,please have a great and wonderful day. Time now it's 4:15 p.m. Tuesday March 22nd 2022. Yours truly fans from Las Vegas Nevada USA.
Jeff dunham is his own force behind each and every one of his characters each having their own voice ,individual personalities, and jeff being a personal friend of mine; hes absolutely fantastic and really cares what the millions of fans feel and comment....he loves life and all people from every walk of life....i respect jeff for who he really is.and because he respects me as well as all of his fans.....i love and adore jeff dunham!!
No thanks to horror movies, which have transformed ventriloquist dummies into scary objects, we have forgotten how amazing the mechanics are behind these performing assistants! Thanks for showing us the details.
That was kind of a unusual character that Jeff had in this clip, never seen him before! I wonder if this character will become part of Jeff’s act!? Hope Jeff does introduce’s this character in his act!🙂
Totally cool!, amazing amount of movements that I don’t believe I have ever seen on a dummy (that’s not actually breathing that is…lol) Apparently quite expensive as this one auctioned for between $20,000 and $25,000. Only 30 known to exist, so apparently Jeff Dunham owns 10% of the worlds collection of these… impressive! Thanks for sharing… very informative. Not gonna ruin his performance for me by knowing what’s going on in there, actually makes me more impressed with the illusion..
What a priceless piece of history you have there. Wonderful! God bless you.
That’s amazing. Thank you for showing us this wonderful character. He’s wonderful.
Ahh... the voice of Melvin, the Superhero!!
That is incredible! Skinny is an amazing "dummy"! Thanks for sharing!
WOW 😳. Thanks for teaching me about the ways you have to control everything. Very Cool 😎
He's a happy man/boy. 😁
I respect the fact that You truly love Your Art and it's history. Like You I enjoy old toys too.
Thank You for sharing this awesome guy!
I'd love to see this in Jeff's act.
YOU GUYS AND THE MAKERS OF DUGGAN ARE AMAZING! PRICY BUT PRICELESS PUPPET! A KEEPER!

Looks as if your hand would start cramping
Very interesting! I am always amazed at how much talent you have. Lots of practice!
Love to see that old timer pop up in you show!
Amazing Artistry at its best🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Awesome and a bit creepy at the same time haha, Hi from Darwin Australia
Agreed!
Wow! I was today years old when I learned that there were ventriloquists' dummies with so many features! 😮👍👏
They don’t make them like the used to, what craftsmanship!!
Far out, I didn't know they were so complicated.
AWESOME!
The people that created this puppet were true artist.
How cool thanks for sharing Jeff 👍👍
Jeff you are a true artist! I love all your shows

🤣
Enjoyed the lesson thank you!

That complexity may be why they don't make them anymore.
Simpler is generally better.

Jeff, just wondering here, but, back in the Carter years, didn’t you have a ventriloquist puppet that was a little robot?
Incredible Jeff
I am not having this thing inside my house.
WOW! That is complex.
The true Genius' are the ones that create these "moving mechanism's" ...
Jeff we absolutely love you…..keep on doin’ what you do💙
Freaky dude!
Jeff, how do you come up with the voices? What is the driving motivator?

1937 ventriloquism peaked......
Wow amazing.
Am I the only one that got roped in thinking this would involve Justin, Travis, and Griffin McElroy?
Thanks for sharing this it doesn't look like it was made in 1939 this thing is awesome must have been extremely expensive then
Very interesting!
Nice
What ?!?! You mean that's not a real person?!?!

Wow , cool
Wow, he looks like Bubbas cousin with that missing tooth.
I assumed these were the other McElroy brothers.
OMG... I love JD but this is nightmare fuel.
What?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞 wow pretty cool.
Omg, you ripped his head off. What the &@%$
He's beautiful!
Can anyone tell me where he got that dummy
He's a lot smarter, and better-looking, then the dummies occupying the White House currently. A lot more intelligent as well. Today March 15th 2022
Just read American Spirits comment. Perfect angel to compliment Walter/Trump/Biden🤪
He looks like a wooden “Mr. Bean”
Oh.. different McElroy brothers. ok.
DOOTDOOTDODODO HAUNTED DOLL WATCH
Spoiler alert
Strangely reminds me of nancy pelosi.
Damn. A man in his sixtys and still playing with dolls. 🤣🤣🤣
Ya and made millions from it
Yes, Way cool.
Thank you for the showing us an old dummy, oops, your old dummy.
Incredible dummy.
