Venomous fangs are kinda weird. They do deadly poison, which does more damage than normal poison but last a short amount of time. If you were to put a poison affinity on it, then the deadly poison affect last the same amount of time as normal poison while still doing high damage. Beat the game with these, it was a blast.
Venomous fang is A tier atleast. It does deadly poison buildup- which does twice the damage of regular poison but only lasts a third as long (which means you can proc it multiple times and combine it with kindred of rot talisman to increase attack power). It is infusable, so you can set it to occult and with 63 arcane it has 145 deadly poison buildup, which translates to 190 deadly poison buildup for each dual wield attack (which come out pretty fast). Next, it does pierce damage, which means that you can combine it with spear talisman. And it is a paired weapon, which means that you can use RKR on it and get it on both weapons at the same time, translating to 2000+ damage on a single jump R2 if you build for it, and instantly proccing poison on enemies that are weak to it.
Not only that, but if you infuse Venomous Fang with a poison infusion it applies deadly poison with the duration of standard poison, essentially tripling the effective damage of your poison. Interesting interaction.
I actually poisoned someone in pvp 3 times in a row throughout the fight using the shield, they kept using flame cleanse me and i kept spamming the snake, pretty funny
The best thing about weapons with innate poison and you can change the ash of war is the fact that you can infuse them with occult and just use a character spec for arcane. Phenomenal physical damage and typically one or two hits for the poison to go off
I use the serpent bow on almost all characters. It's still not great, but it's very useful for putting poison or rot on certain enemies. The only other poison/rot weapon I've used is the antspur rapier, and I haven't used it enough to really rate it.
You forgot the shield. Also the Serpent Bow does scale with Arcane. I have 99 Arcane 99 Dex and 71 Strength. I'm currently pushing for 99 Str and I can say that with the exception of using the Erdtree Bow for Undead or the Jar Cannon on Commander Niall the Serpent Bow is the Best ranged weapon in the game. I out range and kill everything that is not behind a fog wall. Why get hit when you don't have to. Most non boss enemies in NG + die to one or 2 shots.
Random lore take of a semi relivant nature: Rot is not a representation of stagnation, but of change. Thus paralleling the god of sleep who DOES represent stasus/stagnation. Rot innately changes all it consumes, for example melania needed to "bloom" physically becoming something she wasn't, much as milicent feared would happen to her, to become a true vessel of the rot. While the god of slumber assosiated with miquilla who is positioned in some ways as a mirror of his twin is all about lack of change or differentiation. With the inability to grow and androgynous features. The association of constant fluid movement staving off the rot isn't because it's rots antithesis but because it is keeping you ahead of the rot in a way.
Two scavenger curved blades, one poison, one blood, Reduvia with scorpion tail, scarlet aonia, kindred rot exultation and lord of blood exultation, milacents prosthesis, and the talisman that buffs for successive hits.
I did have some fun with a rot/poison/bleed build using dual great hammers. I really don't like the rotten duelist hammer, but it allowed all 3 statuses if you give it one of the poison ashes and bloody modifier, or vice versa. I also ran poison great stars to make up for range. Works well for pve, but godawful for pvp
Antspur rapier is def S tier! Especially in NG+ with 2 of them. Trivialize bosses like Moghwyn. I put Blood Tax on main hand and Freezing Mist Ash on off hand. Love the powestancing move set on thrusting swords. Stacks Rot, Frost, and Bleed very quickly. Blood Tax Ash heals you for a nice chunk of health. Very powerful.
i had a blast a playthru with the antspur rapier making it poison / rot with seppuku and in the other hand rocking the ice needle. Mainly did it for fashion cause i wore D´s armor so the silver glove held the ice needle which has a silver handle and the gold glove held the antstpur with gold handle. Fashion for the win but it was also busted.
Think you're sleeping on the hammer, put a frostbite infusion on that in your off hand, and then a bloodflame blade cast on your main? Sounds utterly killer to me
I mean if you get two of the hammers, which you’d have to get from a friend from their world but you can dual wield them and have one have frostbite and I don’t remember if you put another ash of war in the other or maybe you put both frost bite but then you have dual hammer combos and they’re pretty fast and good plus Scarlet rot and frostbite, shits nuts.
I was playing with the Rotten Great Axe in newgame plus and I paired it with Axe of Godfrey in the off-hand. I put Flame of the Redmanes on the Rotten Great Axe. Poising breaking freight train... almost 2000AR between the two, plus proc Rot on bigger enemies... delicious.
somehow, i got 2 rotten staves to drop from the avatar that drops it. so, as a joke, i maxed both and made a build out of it. mainly just poisoned myself and got the buffs from the poison helm and talisman, but the weapons actually procced scarlet rot often enough to make it worth while. 10/10 weapon
I wanted to like the Serpentbone Blade katana but the poison doesn't scale. Dual wielding this sword with it in my off-hand to add some passive poison was my plan but it just took too long to get the poison to proc. It was easier to just put the Poisonous Mist AoW on the Ugigatana for faster poison status.
Do you use any mods to test weapons? I've been wanting to download a mod that gives me all the items and weapons because it takes so painfully long to develop a character in this game; but I've never used mods, so I don't know where to begin.
Idk if it's because my arcane isn't pumped high or if I didn't upgrade the weapon but the Serpent Bow has never poisoned anything for me even after putting like 40 arrows in an enemy
I know the description says it applies poison to all arrows but I don't think that's true. I'm fairly sure you still need to use poison arrows to get the effect
Honestly the rot hammer is severely underrated. I don’t use great hammers for range, I use them for stance breaking and damage. And that weapon is way faster than the greataxe but does loads of stance damage.
What's your favourite poison or rot weapon? 😀
rotten breathe while riding torrent

Discount Rot
@@sand_sand7304 easier to apply and still gives you the bonus damage from the talisman and helmet.

Can't forget rotten winged sword insignia and consecutive attack physick tear, ritual sword talisman... thats a scary build right there
You forgot the best poison weapon: coil shield
I haven't been included shields in this ranked series, was thinking I might do shields in their own video
It does do instant deadly poison for most enemies
@@Scrotus_the_odd I didn't think it was that good. It just sits there in my inventory.
Yeah and it’s deadly poison not just regular poison too, so even better
I actually poisoned someone in pvp 3 times in a row throughout the fight using the shield, they kept using flame cleanse me and i kept spamming the snake, pretty funny
Every time I watch you I learn new things. Glad I found this channel been needing help and can only rely on this ❤❤

Used the Antspur Rapier to beat the Final DLC Boss. I couldn't beat him with any other weapons.
Serpent bone blade or what ever it’s called, that is my favorite posin weapon 😅
Mine too! 😀

The arcane on the bow is for applying psn scaling

This sounds good
The cotana has a hibin side effect of lowering the consecutive attack buffs requirements

The arc on the serpent bow increases the build up that the arrows do I believe
Think you're sleeping on the hammer, put a frostbite infusion on that in your off hand, and then a bloodflame blade cast on your main? Sounds utterly killer to me
Hourah Loux's Earthshaker works great for any fist weapon, probably choosing poison affinity

Serpent bow does deadly poison. Very good when paired with moth flight.

serpent bows arc scaling dictates poison build-up it adds to arrows, not damage
I dual wield Rotten Staff and they're good
Coil Shield is my favorite poison weapon

Don't do it it will ruin your experience forever
I like the servant bone bl as de myself. Just looks cool does enough damage
Black bow is incredible i got it to +10 before my blasphemous blade whatchu talkin bout 🤔
4:30 he sparta kicks a guy of a ledge
Idk if it's because my arcane isn't pumped high or if I didn't upgrade the weapon but the Serpent Bow has never poisoned anything for me even after putting like 40 arrows in an enemy

bro said lemme know how wrong it is, i got u. OBJECTIVELY
You could put where to find these weapons at but good video none the less. Location, location, location. Lol
Fair point. I haven't done that for all the other ranked videos but seen as how there isn't many of these I probably could of 😀
Honestly the rot hammer is severely underrated. I don’t use great hammers for range, I use them for stance breaking and damage. And that weapon is way faster than the greataxe but does loads of stance damage.
Don't forget rotton crystal staff! Applies scarlet rot and boosts crystal sorcery
It’s not that good tho :/
I beat promised consort Radhan with the rot rapier
You forgot to put the rotten crystal staff in F
Wouldn't F tier be the rotten scepter?
Antspur rapier can have for status effects on it
I love crystal scarlet rot sword
Only reason bows are in the game is to farm mogwins palace
I like to put Rot or Poison grease on my Bloodhound Fang works really well
Blood Flame with Flames Grant Me Strength is the way to go
bleed/poison/rot antspear rapiers are stupid in pvp - people just die and its disgusting and i love it.
TTOGetthaAA!
Black bow….
14
Lol I love seeing people play this game in way they won't be able to take it into the arenas.
