The Line Laboratory on RUclips is an interesting program. Testing a variety of braids. The main issue though is that they are generally the overseas labelling. There are a few like the J Braid that have been tested. An enjoyable watch and info channel.

My son recently started fishing and because he is still green i put on surfpro 30 lbs on his penn fierce 6000. We fish the bricks 90% of the time. And currently i am impressed.

My favorite was the old suffix think it was called 899 or something like that. Used it for 10 years swapping between reels untill the line capacity just got to low as i lost bits over time. Used a 20lb for loor casting and have caught hundreds of fish from leeries to occasional ray when bait fishing and it never let me down.
Worst brade i used was spiderwire.
Currently I'm using 9x on my loor rod still debating if i like it.
All my 8k reels running grinder and i find it good enough.
Got jdb dna and i really like it on my lighter surf setup

The suffix was some really good stuff hey.
You sound like you’ve been through most of the braid on the market😎
We love our JDB- not much compares for us anyway.

Howzit fishous. I have tried most of the bigger name braids, Daiwa J 8x, Powerpro, Kakiri, Suffix 832, Double x viper, whiplash, even Gosen that was 800 odd bucks 7 years ago. And out them all I will go JDB all day every day. As my other reels need new line they will all get JDB except when I need 8 or 6lb

Why is Cobra braid so difficult to find? Did it become too expensive, because should you find a spool, the packaging looks aged. It's brilliant stuff and extremely durable, just horribly expensive.

With all things there is a certain point where more money is not worth it. Having said tbat is it very tempting and dangerous to say let me just go one step up.. from a bluefish to an Evo infinity

      Hey bud
This is a dangerous sport hey🤣🤣
But don’t think Evo big… go horizon big🤣
