I had 8 implants placed for snap in dentures and all teeth extracted. I had the injection and requested IV twilight sedation. Made everything go by fast and felt like everything was a dream.
I was afraid of sedation so I chose to be awake for a whole mouth teeth removal, 8 bone grafts and 8 implants. I did very well with 1 simple, low dose Xanax prescribed by my GP The surgeon said I did excellent and it really wasn't so bad and went by quickly. It helps when you trust your surgical team :)
