nIce compact layout, good design. great job on revamping the helix. I have made my own like you but I have never used any type road bed on my helix , not every inch of road bed or board will completely glue to plywood. so for me track straight to plywood , and I leave a exacto knife blade space , with openning between plywood joints. and nail track 3" away from plywood joint on either side & I have never had derail issues. Thank you for sharring this with us * Happy Rails *
Great to see you at it again! I can’t wait to see your immaculate station in place with trains passing through it. I have to say that I’ve never seen foam core used as a track base. A very novel idea!
Amazing work, Collin! I was able to check out your Union Station at the past Thousand Lakes Region get-together and I'll interested to see how it will fit into the grand scheme of things. I'll be watching!
It is so good to see your layout again.
you turned the bunk beds into a trainset... nice 😂
Great to see you here, Collin. Awesome work with the helix. You deserve the applause, brother. 🤣😁😀. Have a great day.
Thanks Drew!
Looking forward to your continued progress. I do not envy your work on that helix!
Thanks! It's a project I have avoided for too long. I hope the remake is worth the effort.

Thank you! The helix has been a pain for ten years so I hope I have fixed any potential problems.

Thank you Randy! The station has been waiting a long time to take its place on the layout.
Great work on the helix. I like the oblong style, seems to work better. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Thanks Dave. I hope it does work better. I'll know for sure after I run some long trains through it.
Good to see you Collin, nice to see the layout being worked on and looks like you got the track work running smooth.
Thanks Bob! It's been a while. Wishing you well for the new year.

Thanks Tom. I'm eager to get the station on the layout. Glad you had a chance to see it.
Sorry, I couldn't deal with the background music...
Have you considered using led strip lighting to illuminate your lower deck ??
I might look into that sometime. For now I'm satisfied with the lights I have.
