Interesting what Ric Flair said about European crowds and US wrestlers 'never getting old'. It's a cultural mindset thing, from an old continent that reveres proven sports and entertainment stars, sentimental a lot of the time. Crowds here in the UK loved WWF stars back during the shows in the 90s, Summerslam being the highlight. It would never cross the minds of crowds to show anything other than respect and admiration for the roster back then, including the lower and mid-card guys. Great times.
According to Bret Hart, (Vince's idea) Warrior was going feud with him and have a match at Royal Rumble 1993 with Bret beating Warrior in the middle of the ring with a sharpshooter (Which I just cannot see) however Warrior was gone with Bulldog in November 1992 followed by Nailz I believe for another reason.
I can't imagine Warrior even putting Bret over, never mind tapping out. If the match ever did happen I'm sure there would have been a DQ finish. I'll admit I would have loved to see it, if only because it would be a great test of what kind of match Bret could get out of Warrior
I already know what Ric is gonna say without having to watch the video, "NOOOOO!" .... The Warrior, God love him, had no talent, but I always liked him because he was a big, muscle guy, he looked like a total freak of nature in the ring with the face paint on and the boots and tassels and just sold it massive. 2 to 1 Vince McMahon is STILL cashing checks and his grandchildren will be for the forceible future.
Rumor was that when warrior came back the second time he was supposed to get the belt and before Brett was even including the title picture it was supposed to be the ultimate warrior versus Ric Flair at the Royal rumble 1993 with the ultimate warrior winning back the WWE title That was the original plan and obviously warrior got fired even in 1996 when warrior came back from the third time there was rumors of him getting the built back again and it didn’t happen so do I think that warrior could carry the company in 1993 as champion absolutely
To be honest, Vince was grooming Sid to be the suucessor to Hogan. Sid left for two reasons (according to him)... The steroid issue & working with Warrior on the house show circuit (in matches which saw Warrior no-sell the powerbomb).
Problem with warrior being champion was opponents. savage and dibease had already lost to Hogan. Ric would have been good in that role right after wrestlemania 6 though
Earthquake would have probably been best but Hogan got him instead. But the problem with Warrior is that his opponents had to carry him. His feuds with Macho Man and Rude were great because they shouldered most of the load. That's why Bret Hart was a much better champion. He actually knew how to have great feuds.
@@ssssssstssssssss that's a good one. Earthquake would have been good. That was the thing when Hogan was champion his foes came off as a threat and warrior never got that and I think he needed it. Dynamite kid in an issue of power slam said something similar about Hogan similar to what you said about warrior - his opponents made him look good. Agree that Bret was way more versatile.
Given how they fast tracked Yoko right from the off, he may have been the most likely option for Warrior going in to 93... they may have continued the Razor feud via Flair also in to 93 (seems like from Royal Rumble 93, Vince's loses interest in Razor for a while, before starting his face push in the summer)... but 1993 was not really set up for a Warror run as champ, unless turned Taker heel again.
Funny Flair talks about being lucky because he never had any body part replacement but that's because he didn't take steroids which when abused for years causes your tendons and ligament to weaken, thus causing injuries.
His prime was during the Hogan - Warrior years. They would not have considered giving him or Hart or Michaels the World title at that time. Henning was out with his back injury by the time they moved in a different direction and Bret became champion. It was bad timing for Henning as he deserved a run as champion and probably would have gotten at least one if the timing had been favorable.
Under the spell of papa Shango , with Undertaker in their stable. could have been a better group for Hulk to feud with, instead of the dungeon of doom lol 😂
I believe it would of been more interesting if he had a legit chance to become champion in 96 when he came back, given was only brought back because of the sheer lack of top talent at the time. But we all know how difficult he was especially then
"My wife never traveled with me"." Well that never stopped you"😂
I'm a little annoyed they cut the video off before we could get Ric's reaction there lol
The ladies man never had sex away from his wife. Suuure!!
What does wife traveling with him have to do with Space Mountain? Woooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@fjccommish I was wondering when that was going to be brought up 😂
Through the entire 92/93 period Warrior had the biggest pop. So many jealous for how much the guy was over

Congrats on sharing this already known story that's been told a million times
Well if Vince told him that then it was possible. Warrior doesn’t book the matches.

I have really missed you. I was iff line a few weeks but now Im back. Looking forward for more .
Took me some time to realise, what kind of hip exercise is required for longevity. Thank you. Ill leave the wife home next time.
Warrior just could keep people's attention.

Does that make sense
The Ultimate Warrior was going to be the Champion 🏆 🥇 in 1992 if he didn't have that steroid abuse problem with WWE
True
Without steroids, Ultimate Warrior wouldn’t have been on the radar of any promotion.

Why did Curt Hennig not get a run as WWF champion in his prime?
His prime was during the Hogan - Warrior years. They would not have considered giving him or Hart or Michaels the World title at that time. Henning was out with his back injury by the time they moved in a different direction and Bret became champion. These type of questions are so fucking bad but people still ask them. When do you think he should have been champion? Around what year and event?
Because he milked a back injury for huge insurance payouts.
@@MichaelEarl 91 WWF, 99 WCW
Hahahaha. Flippin awesome.
If Warrior had better work ethic and actual love for the sport he could have popped up so much more instead of burning out.
No is the answer
That Bucs Panthers game was so rigged
Nfl is wwe
If Warrior turned heel, used black face paint and dark ring gear, he could have made a great heel champion. The question is, who could beat him?
Anyone who knew how to wrestle.

Brady and Rogers - they're not the problem. Their receivers are the problem. Rogers' receivers don't run the correct routes.
