  • Huey Newton, the founder and Minister of Defense of the Black Panther Party, is interviewed by Elsa Knight Thompson at the KPFA studios, six days after his release from prison. He expresses his views about the worldwide Black movement for independence, the justice and prison systems in the United States, and the aims of the Black Panthers. The interview opens with a lengthy discussion of the racially-based violence that had just occurred at Soledad Prison in California.

As far as I am concern, Huey was one of the Baddest Brothers on the Planet. His Legacy must live on. We must never forget his hard fault contributions made by the Black Panther Party. Black people have not built anything close to their accomplishments. It up to us to teach our children the history of the Black Panthers. No church has come close to the programs offered by the Black Panther Party.
Which in total 32 programs serving the needs of our people.

Now I'm understanding why govt agencies were sent to dismantle these groups. Because they were so aware of the wrong doings of this government to put it out and confront them. And these people are a threat to oppressers. Very intelligent. Articulate and brave souls

I went to the University of California Santa Cruz, where Huey got a bachelor's degree and PhD. It was actually at the same time he was there, but I had no clue about him, and was nose to the grindstone just getting my own BA in music. Now learning about this intelligent, honest, an charming young spirited boy, (practically), is a boon. He really was unique. Thank the Lord he had a loving family. Thank the Lord he wrote his incredible autobiography. I just finished it. It's on Utube as audiobook, called "Revolutionary Suicide". Actually let's share Huey P Newton with the young earnest students of today.
I have not a single happy memory of childhood, as my mother was very cold hearted towards me, continuously denegrating my dreams and ideas for a better world, never telling me she loved me or hugging me.
      Huey P Newton....gone too soon.

50:20 this man was a true revolutionary. The intersectionality between black liberation and women's liberation and queer liberation is of utmost importance. Without liberation for all there is liberty for none

Hueys message of black revolution holds truer now in the 21st century that we have people like trump the proud boys and Mitch McConnell trying to keep this nation apart based on race gender income national origin sexuality religion political beliefs and affiliations etc instead of people who want to unite people regardless of these boundaries. Long live general Newton and may he rest in power and peace.

Hard to understand Him getting His proper respect with @least a statue in any City because that would therefore expose the USA for the elitist they are. Those that don’t know would study Him & unravel America’s ill intentions. He spoke for the ppl and the ppl weren’t all Black but rather all oppressed. Him having an illustrious tribute is something of a dream. Long Live Huey.

Heuy is an absolutely charming amazing beautiful soul and as intelligent as a human can be. But the solution to black America’s problem or else is Jesus Christ God who is BLACK (biblical facts feet as brass hair like wool are not subject to debate.) Some pick and choose Bible verses that ignore the rest of the Bible and misinterpret the Bible to the end they seek. But Christ is God the Bible is His word spoken through His prophets and apostles and through REAL DEEP FAITH FROM THE HEART YOU CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS LITERALLY AS HE SAYS AND CRUSH EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING THAT OPPOSES YOU!

"According to Vedic injunctions there are six kinds of aggressors: 1) a poison giver, 2) one who sets fire to the house, 3) one who attacks with deadly weapons, 4) one who plunders riches, 5) one who occupies another's land, and 6) one who kidnaps a wife. Such aggressors are at once to be killed, and no sin is incurred by killing such aggressors. Such killing of aggressors is quite befitting for any ordinary man....."
