- Huey Newton, the founder and Minister of Defense of the Black Panther Party, is interviewed by Elsa Knight Thompson at the KPFA studios, six days after his release from prison. He expresses his views about the worldwide Black movement for independence, the justice and prison systems in the United States, and the aims of the Black Panthers. The interview opens with a lengthy discussion of the racially-based violence that had just occurred at Soledad Prison in California.
As far as I am concern, Huey was one of the Baddest Brothers on the Planet. His Legacy must live on. We must never forget his hard fault contributions made by the Black Panther Party. Black people have not built anything close to their accomplishments. It up to us to teach our children the history of the Black Panthers. No church has come close to the programs offered by the Black Panther Party.
Which in total 32 programs serving the needs of our people.

I went to the University of California Santa Cruz, where Huey got a bachelor's degree and PhD. It was actually at the same time he was there, but I had no clue about him, and was nose to the grindstone just getting my own BA in music. Now learning about this intelligent, honest, an charming young spirited boy, (practically), is a boon. He really was unique. Thank the Lord he had a loving family. Thank the Lord he wrote his incredible autobiography. I just finished it. It's on Utube as audiobook, called "Revolutionary Suicide". Actually let's share Huey P Newton with the young earnest students of today.
I have not a single happy memory of childhood, as my mother was very cold hearted towards me, continuously denegrating my dreams and ideas for a better world, never telling me she loved me or hugging me.
