The Honorable Elijah Muhammad found me here in America in the muck and mire, in the filthiest civilization on earth. He pulled me out and cleaned me up, and he stood me on my feet and made me the man I am-----MALCOLM X (from the Autobiography of Malcolm X). Mr. Muhammad had raised me from the dead, everything I was he made me. When I was a foul vicious convict, this man had rescued me. He was the man that trained me, he treated me like I was his own flesh and blood. He was the man who had given me my wings to go places, and do things that I otherwise never would have dreamed of-----MALCOLM X (from the Autobiography of Malcolm X)
Mr. Muhammad had rescued me when I was a convict, and he trained me in his home as if I was his son. He allowed me to make important decisions for the Nation of Islam. One day he told me Brother Malcolm I want you to become well known. Because if you are well known it will make me better known, and he went on to say Brother Malcolm there is something you need to know. You will grow to be hated when you become well known. Because people usually get jealous of public figures---MALCOLM X (from the Autobiography of Malcolm X)

We are so lucky to have audible and visual evidence of his presence. He cannot be misinterpreted. He here is. He speaks with elegance and he speaks the truth. It’s hard to find such a credible man now. Listening to his words, once again, what a shame. Shame on those individuals and movements that condemned him for their personal gain.

True. I remember a woman that had a baby boy by Elijah. She was around the Black Panthers and later went to Malcolm X College, which I found out that her son was the son of Elijah. It was stated at a meeting I was in. Additionally, Elijah's espoides was public information and printed in the Chicago Defender and other news outlets of the time. I often heard that ALL of Elijah's children knew each other and accepted the relationship for what it is. I heard that he had a granddaughter that got on the police department, that was killled by her cop husband. That was in 1988 or 89.

8:30 Exactly. No wife should be disgraced and treated like a harlot if she truly is your wife. The true Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) made all of his wives the mothers of the religion, honored women. 9:20 And this is exactly the reason why it is so important to not worship any man or become infatuated with demagogues. Malcolm X was a truly honorable and noble man, most importantly because he was willing to admit when he was wrong, even while still fighting hard for justice for black Americans and promoting the beauty of true Islam.

The only reason the shooters would have brought weapons into the meeting is if they had been informed there wasn't going to be a search procedure that day. He was way ahead of his time & I wish I could’ve met him. The humility he showed to be able to shift his beliefs/perspective & admit his wrongs is what’s impressive to me. Albeit he wasn’t perfect but for him to own what he said is respectable, especially in those times.

I don't think you quite listened to what he was saying.
Yes, he is articulate. Yes, he had conviction in his belief with Elijah Muhammad and the Islam religion.
The interviewer asks "are you not perhaps afraid of what might happen to you because of these revelations?" Malcolm then says "oh yes, I'm already a dead man."
He then says that unless someone would come to him with those kinds of accusations with undeniable proof, he, himself would kill them.
So yes, he was a complete radical, his stance just softened post mecca. But that dude was undeniably a radical, willing to kill someone with his own revelations, unless they had undeniable proof.

@@MrSilus2000School can be used for assimilation but its purpose is to foster critical thinking, develop organizational thinking, and to give the population a strong foothold in language, math, and science.
History is the main subject that requires deeper analysis as it is often presented in a way that is skewed or parts omitted. However, a good school should give you the tools to understand how to objectively question facts. I think we’ve lost sight of concepts like knowing the difference between first, second, and third person perspective and knowing how to sift through these concepts to find objective truth. I think people have forgotten that reason citing sources is an important formality in professional writing is to give the reader tools to be able to objectively question the information presented to them. If you know where a person got their data from then you can discern its reliability. The idea that people think that school is driving people to just accept what’s being told to them seems like some sort of larger failing or misunderstanding as the means of questioning information is built into the structure of academic writings as a formality. Personally, my school taught us to approach education this way in elementary school and I’m almost 40. I suspect a lot of other people got the lesson as well and either ignored it or conveniently forgot.

    • @ChillStatusTwo
      @ChillStatusTwo Год назад +10

I'll try as best I can to answer that question.
Who was Elijah Muhammad? That was the question, Well a man born in Sandersville, GA, who lost faith in the White man and Christianity, when as a young boy, he witnessed a white mob kill his friend by taking a shotgun, putting the shotgun in his friends mouth and pulling the trigger.
From there he moved North, got married, had children, got lost in the world of despair because in the 30's a black man, with a 3rd grade education, and 8 children, WELL, WINE, Drank, and many nights away from home lost.
Until his wife heard and met a man named Farad Muhammad, a silk salesman, who brought his version of Islam to the Lost Found People of North America. Black folk in the Ghetto's more or less.
Eventually, Master Farrad and Elijah Poole as he was called at the time met, and Elijah after hearing Master Farrad present his brand of Islam, Elijah said to him after his lecture.."You are the one who was prophesized to come and lead us"..or words to that effect, and upon hearing this Master Farrad whispered in his ear, YES! but don't tell anyone, because my time has not come yet! Or words to the effect.
This is how The Honorable Elijah Muhammad became the Messenger of Allah, because as far as HE was concerned at that moment, at that time, Master Farrad was his God, and Elijah decided to spread his message of Islam, thus changing the lives of thousands of black Americans, most noteworthy, Louis Farrakah, Malcolm X, and Muhammad Ali.
It was Elijah Muhammad's movement within the Nation of Islam, which open up a pathway to Orthodox Islam for African Americans throughout the world.
Although a flawed man, I would strongly recommend you read who Elijah Muhammad was, his times, the lives he changed and what he tried to represent
That man is still ❤ just as much as Malcolm. Even Today! Trust me, every brother you run into with the last name Muhammad, you can attributed it to the name of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
That's why he deserves the title.

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad's exposure by his most trusted servant was God's punishment indeed.
It's sad how folks rank their version of sin and punishment, does what you say apply to the Catholic church Baptist, Pentecostal, Islamic, Hindu, Jewish, etc..??
The NOI under the Honorable Elijah Muhammad did so much good for so many people, the game is the game..U KNOW THAT!!..and religion is the biggest MONEY game out there, the NOI was the only black religious organization in the 50's and 60's that gave back to their members also.
Imagine a sista, once called a HO, now walking around with the Dignity and respect of transformation overnight after joining or a brother lost on Drugs...
Also, health care, education, better eating and diet, and men standing post with their families.
A flawed man yes, but this man came up with an idea to build his own world, here, in America, and he did it too.
So of course it's very understandable to see why folks would believe and accept that this little man with only a third grade education, to have built the NOI on sheer will and a dream for his people, you got to give that man his place, faults and all, God has always chosen his Pathfinders from the most humble. 😉

TBF his life changed when he met Real Islam on his Visit to Mecca after that the Quraan taught him everything. That’s why the CIA wanted him dead and used Nation of Islam aka Disneyland to do it. CIA wanted blacks to say “The white man is the devil” not a man who says “We are all brothers”.

Not only was he fearless, but also a man with great integrity, willing to speak up on these issues while never questioning his faith; rather, he understood how these acts (for which today Elijah Muhammad would have spent the rest of his life in prison) were a violation of the principles of Islam. He embraced his spiritual path with love and joy, and had no qualms speaking against the hypocrisy of those who didn't.

Yes he is, specifically the part he misquotes him, to where Malcolm has to then clarify that he's referring to the blacks' rights to bear arms, if in a life or death situation because law enforcement are unwilling to do their job. And all the interview has to say is "For what purpose?", even though the purpose was already made clear with the answer. Then he asks him to go into detail about his next statement on blacks needing to rise against their oppressors sooner or later, again, with the same thing. So, really, his line of questioning has been trying make out Malcolm was insinuating there was a course of action that is in favor of violence, rather the reason for why: self-defence. The context was already there but the interview tried to make it into something else.
