Thoroughly enjoyed watching all the vids of you building this beautiful rifle. I'm looking forward to seeing you complete the rifle. I shoot black powder but so far only cap and ball - it's enjoyable and almost "zen-like" in that the process of shooting takes time. It gives the shooter time to evaluate their shot and to reflect upon the history of these firearms. All The Best to you.
You’re so right. I’m very passionate about the history of these works of art. They were true craftsmen. More videos will be coming soon. Thanks for interest and thanks for watching.
Great content! Very happy I stumbled upon your channel but surprised that I am only just finding it! You've got a new subscriber here- I'm hoping to make my own flintlock at an NMLRA class this summer and these videos are yielding helpful context.
@@goldenmeanflintlocks9713 I once lived in Oklahoma, pawhuska area, about 3 years, late 70’s, early 80’s, in that time period I burnt many pounds of Blackpowder, I hade at the time, TC renegade in 54, CVA big bore mountain rifle in 58, and a CVA mountain rifle in 50. They weren’t much, but the were tons, and tons of fun!
I don’t yet. I plan on making copies and selling them sometime in the near future. Shoot me an email at goldenmeanflintlocks@gmail.com and I’ll write your name down so I can let you know when they’re available.
I've had people ask, "Do you close your eyes when you pull the trigger"? I answer no. If I am focused on the sights and the target, I never notice the charge in the pan ignite.

Yes it is. A friend of mine did the music for me. That’s and L&R lock. They’re great! Chambers is probably better though.

Hi! I'm curious; did you also build the shotgun trigger box?
Not sure if I know what you’re talking about.
I am enjoying your series and have subscribed. Do you have the means to enable the notification bell?
Thank you so much! And I’m not sure I’ll look into that. I’m new at these RUclips videos haha.
I think I may have fixed that but not sure haha.
Why you stop making videos?
I had to move to Missouri. I built a cabin here and am building my new gunshop now. Hope to be making more soon.
@@goldenmeanflintlocks9713 ok👍
Yeah, that is why some modern shooters jokingly call them "Flinchlocks"!
Haha. Yes it is.
