I couldn't resist and had to buy one! And at $299 for a 4s vehicle, that's a hella deal!
You did bash it more than Greg did, but that's why I like watching the two of you review the same truck, different driving styles. He did manage a 58mph pass, but that was on road with I think an 8000mAh 110C battery. So flirting with 60mph out of the box and can take some tumbles for the price, I think Redcat nailed it. Awesome review Joe.

I have a ton of rc's, the only one i have that I've never had to work on other then little quick minor things is my redcat blackout, i converted it to brushless with a hnr panther motor and esc, no other upgrades and when i bash i absolutely bash 😂. i have a arrma senton and granite converted them both also, and they are nothing but issues redcat is the company to go with in my opinion. you can buy a blackout 4x4 for 180 brushed and so far they are bulletproof. I never expect the diffs to be so durable and bulletproof at all. I've even ran it on 4s once with a hobbywing esc. also, it's the only one i got i can just straight up enjoy put away and enjoy again without the pain of tearing it down. over 20 5200mah 3s lipo packs in!
I ordered it as soon as they showed it on the live stream. I was nervous doing that with the Vigilante but took a chance and it's been a great rig. I hope this turns out half as well. Arrma better watch out. I might be turning into a Redcat fanboy.

These replaced my beloved Redcat/Team Redcat MT10e which is my favorite 10 scale MT of all time. The MT10e was tougher than the Granite and team associated Rival MT10e. At the skate park the granite would break at the rear shock tower and the rival as brutally tough as it was would also break at the front chassis bulkhead area. The Redcat once I replace the servo saver I literally could not break it in the summertime at the skate park and Redcat told me last year the 10 scale MT that’s replacing it is tougher! 😂 that’s clearly this RC and I told them I believe it when I see it!
I love my MT10e too! Such an underrated truck. Too bad RC discontinued it. The only problem I had with mine was the ring gears stripping out, but the center diff kit solved that problem.

this beast is very difficult to tame because it is really very powerful on 4s . Very fun 😅

No the spline is on the other side. So essentially on the side facing out is just a normal 17mm hex. The spline is on the inside

Ok, so how does it compare to the Traxxas Maxx and do you think that thing will take 6S?
It has a 5th/6th scale size drivetrain my guy
@@philthyco1 no, no, no it doesn’t my guy. That has a 36mm motor at a 1/10 scale. Kraton 4S, outcast 4S, Maxx 1/10 all use 40mm motors on 4S stock at about 2500KV, and all three are easily upgradable to 6S with a longer can 40mm motor and esc upgrade. Hell the 6S Arrma line and the 6S Traxxas line are all 1/7 scale and come stock with the 40mm 6s motors and esc’s. I don’t know where the hell you are getting 5th/6th scale from my guy? The Vigilante is true 1/5 scale and comes stock with a 49mm 8s motor and esc, and that’s not enough for that thing. At the very least it would be nice to stuff the 4s 2500KV 40mm can in that thing so you could through some decent gear at that thing without it overheating my guy.

I like it! It shares a chassis and several parts from the WOV vehicles! Watch those shocks.... Might have similar issues.

@rcguygarage In fairness to Philthyco when I read limited copy I took it as not as good as well, as in limited. I think this definitely looks like an upgraded one for sure. And also cheaper I believe. Seems really beefy and built well. And only $299 is crazy.
