Layne is my favorite frontman from the “grunge” era - honestly one of my favorites ever. That ‘95 self-titled album is my favorite but with Layne at the helm they never disappointed. S/O Mad Season too!
My favourite band. Rotten Apple and Nutshell are amazing songs.
The Dirt album is legendary.
The Unplugged version of Nutshell is one of the best tunes.

Buy all the Staley AIC albums. FACELIFT, DIRT, AIC(self titled), Jar of Flies, and Unplugged of coarse. Reach a little farther to Temple of the Dog and finish with Mad Season. This shall be the 3rd coarse in your rock and roll breastfeeding.....

After 2 hard albums the 3rd comes harder with almost all acoustic guitars. Jar of Flies is an album that appeals to listeners of all genres of music. Its almost like the live album if a producer cleaned up the best live performance ever. Metallica does not get front row tickets to your show if your not top notch. Normally a band would stand backstage or off to the side if they want to see you. Rarely, very rarely, probably never, does a band get 4 tickets and seats to see another band, and Jar of Flies is the album that made them show. Not to mention AIC canceled touring with Metallica, a fallout insued, sh*t was talked, Jar of Flies released, and James Hetfield apologized. Het had every reason to talk sh*t, after Laynes addiction nearly caused show cancelations. But Jar of Flies was so good, Laynes voice was unmatched, Cantrells guitar and songs and harmony has no counterpart outside of the Beatles, Sean Kinney's drumming navigating the best voices and guitars in the industry, and Inezs bass that could front a band on its own. Im not sure if a greatest hits album is even possible with AIC. EVERY ALBUM IS A GREATEST HITS!
