Note : Using Hairspray as fixative means you do not have to protect from Over sprays as much;

Oh I just discovered this art form and your channel yesterday? I think? Anyway, I have a degree in fine art that I received in 1995, I worked for a few years but then had three children and was a stay at home mom until recently. My oldest child and only son was killed in a car accident 4.5 years ago. As you can imagine it’s been the most difficult thing I’ve ever experienced and have been working so hard to heal and grow and learn and function in life again. This art is helping. Along with many other tools like meditation, mindfulness, therapy, etc….. etc….. anyway thank you for sharing. I appreciate this more than I can adequately express.

I just signed up for Skill Share so I could get more of your neurographic knowledge. I’m particularly interested in the goal setting neurotree right now. But I’m also interested in the lotus mandala and shamanic rain motifs also. I’m so excited to be starting this!
I do not have the shamanic rain class up yet, but it is in my list of things to do. I cannot guarantee that the class will go up before your free trial runs out though.
This would be a really wonderful thing if you could list the algorithm steps for us. I’m confused about drawing the circles in the trunk as opposed to the fruits & roots. Thank you so much for these videos!
As mentioned before, there is no algorithm here yet. Its a Neuroart Neurotree. The roots and the fruits become clearer after you have watched and follow the Wish Tree video on how it is done. The Wish Tree video is a specific example of a Neurotree Algorithm. The roots, the fruits, the trunks, become clearer in there, and perhaps you will understand better with a real example.

This video tutorial of the Neurotree is the Neuroart form of the Neurotree, no Algorithm involved here. The Wish Tree Neurotree video describes how to draw a Neurotree with a self-designed algorithm. Love this video. Can you add in the description the brands of markers you are using?
For this video, I was using the Uni Posca pens; but you do not have to. I was trying them out in this video. And, I discovered that it is kind of expensive to be using Uni Posca Pens (unless you intend to make some art for hanging up). They are REALLY nice and good pens to draw with, BUT if you are doing quite a few pieces of Neuroart, you will find they run out of ink in about 2 to 3 pieces of drawing. The price of these markers are about 2x - 3x the cost of a regular marker like Sharpie or the Zebra that I always use.

What are the materials you use for this please? Particularly interested in the "squirty" thing you used to bring the colours alive.
I used Posca Paint Markers for the drawing, watercolour coloured pencils for the colouring, and the squirty thing you are referring to is known as a water brush.
I’m back to review about neurotree. So I just want to make sure I understand. You do the outline of the tree and the neurolines, then you round. Then you draw the circles, then you round again. So rounding takes up 2 steps in the algorithm?
First let me correct your assumption on the drawing and rounding part. Free yourself from locking in on "draw first then round, and round and draw." There isn't a very strict distinction on that. All NG algorithms work with metaphors. For the Neurotree (in this video is a Neuroart Neurotree, no algorithm involved here atm), you draw first to get the general shape, then you fill in and round after all the drawing, or fill and round as you go, there is no strict distinction with that. The main thing with any Neurotree Algorithm (not the Neuroart) the only strict thing to adhere to is the upward flow of the lines, and the shape of the tree. You can add more lines as you go, and round as you go, as per your preference. All this will become clearer when you follow the Wish Tree video.
What kind of pens are u using all of them I see the color pencils marker but the one you use toward the end
I am assuming its the blue pen thingy you are referring to. That is a water brush.
What music did u start to play b4 u stopped an placed circles?
To tell you the truth, I can't remember either. I do not have the original files for this video to look that up anymore. The only thing I can tell you is that its some classical music I picked up from the RUclips Audio Library.
Is it ok to rotate the page sideways or upside-down while coloring in order to avoid puuting my hand in wet paint?
If you following along to this video, the Neurotree Algorithm is not included in this drawing yet, so you can rotate it anyway you want. But, when you start using the actual Neurotree Algorithm, you can only rotate your drawing after you have coloured in your trunk (is a brain perception thing, you have to allow you brain to perceive the flow, for the Neurotree its an upward flow).

@@mpv9866 Well, the Neurographica methodology is a technique that makes use of what Dr. Piskarev calls Algorithms. These are basically using the process of drawing metaphors to allow your drawings to work at the subconscious level. That's why when the drawing "works" some people say it feels like magic happening, or the universe aligns itself to bring you what you want. Of course there are limitations.
I have found uniball smears if you are using watercolor
What I know about Uniball pens is this; it seems they have 2 different kinds of inks. The coloured ones (Uniball Angelic Colour) smear and bleed with water. The Uniball Air black and blue ones that I used a lot of seem to be stable with water around. The Gold and Silver ones I have not used them around water yet to know if they are stable around water, I usually use them as the final layer for field lines only.

Hi, In the comments below you stress that "there is no algorithm involved" in your drawing, however, you mention in the video that this is an algorithm what you are doing. Please, can you explain this contradiction? Thank you.
The Neurotree is a Neurographica(TM) Algorithm. In this video, there is no algorithm involved. It is just an introduction to how the form of Neurotree is drawn. No meaning to the lines or circles, so its just Neuroart (or Art). In another video entitled Wish Tree, is the Neurotree Algorithm modified to become a Wishing Neurotree. It becomes a Neuroart artwork describing all the wishes that you want to manifest in the future.
I've heard of starting with a neuro seed before the root of tree?
As of the moment of this writing, I have never heard of an Algorithm called a Neuroseed, and am not sure if there is even an Algorithm called "Neuroseed". In any case, this video here is only talking about the Neurotree Algorithm, but in this particular instance there is no Algorithm involved; so its basically just a Neuroart Neurotree. Having said that, there is an Algorithm for planting seeds called "Shamanic Rain".
If you are telling people to do it "better", doesn't that go against the whole idea?Some people do like orderliness, so if you're going to accept each artist as unique, then their art will also reflect their uniqueness.This really seems like b.s to me.If you have to try too hard, how is that going to be fun or healing for a person!It will just make you stressed out.This is not attractive or interesting.I've tried it several times and I"m not impressed.
I am sorry that you did not like the method. This methodology does not subscribe completely to the art therapy style of whatever you do is OK. This is not art therapy. This methodology has its own rules and way of doing things in order to activate its efficacy. If you did not like it, then its highly probable that the methodology will not jive with you. Everyone is different, the Neurographica(TM) methodology is not for everyone either. I hope you will find what you are looking for.
Having watched 3 of your videos now, I find your teaching style disjointed and chaotic. You have us drawing a Neural tree before even explaining the concept or purpose or definition of its parts, or the benefit involved. And I beg to differ with some of your statements. Neurologists will tell you that our brain ALWAYS seeks orderliness. It's chaos our brains hate. We naturally seek to create order out of chaos. We actively look for patterns. The human mind is wired that way. This is why we try to trick the brain OUT of orderliness (our natural state) by drawing non repeating lines and going the opposite direction of what our brains are telling us when drawing neural lines. The conscious mind is bypassed by doing that and taps into the subconscious mind instead, which is the whole purpose of neurographic art for therapy purposes. Also--first you say neural lines are smooth, with no repeating shapes, and then you draw us a "neural line" that is full of bumps and jags and that STILL has a repeating pattern--3 humps. Next you show a drawing in which you claim, "Every line in this drawing is a neuro line." Yet many of the lines end before coming to the edges of the paper. That is NOT a neuro line, not to mention not all of the intersections are rounded, so how can that drawing even be called neurographic art? You are greatly confusing me!
I realize that not everyone read others comments so I will explain this again. This video is to show people what a Neuroart Neurotree is. It is not a "Neurotree" perse because there is no algorithms here involved. But, it is a Neuroart "Neurotree" ; where there is no algorithm involved, just the similar process of drawing a Neurotree.
