The RV purchasing dymanic has reversed the last 10 -20 years. In the past, you bought a new RV because you didn't want to deal with problems and repairs. NOW, you buy a barely used RV because the chances that they got issues resolved under warranty. I bought a 2020 FR MIcrolite 25fks 12/2021, which I have been very lucky to have had almost no problems with. It was made before Covid, and the couple that had it only used it 5-6 times. They didn't have any problems. Everything works great so far. Enjoying your videos. Your attitude is pretty amazing. I would have gone postal on the dealer and Jayco by now.

i've been following your channel off and on for a while and find it very entertaining. I don't know your life stories but find much mystifying. You are obviously successful and very intelligent and don't need to create content for the money. I'm just baffled by some of your choices and actions. I make a point of not doing things that I know will cause me pain and aggravation. You seem to enjoy it. To each their own, I enjoy watching your adventures.

I put a 10.8 cubic inch 12-volt ever chill refrigerator in my travel trailer. Over a year ago and I couldn't be happier. The trailer is at my house. I have a long driveway so I can keep it on the side of the driveway. I just leave it plugged in all the time it works great. I figure it's better than turning it off then turning it on whenever I need it. I just leave it on and keep some items in there like bottled water and things like that so that there's something in there for it to chill. Super happy with it. I used bigger wire when I hooked it up also. some people just take out the propane refrigerator and stick the 12 volt in there and use the little wires that were there for the propane refrigerator, and that's not the way to go👍🏻🇺🇲

Ive found that the rv refrigerator comes in slowly when it hasn't been used in awhile. I always plug mine in a couple of days before a trip. Mine seems to be working better now with regular use as it sat for years before I got it. Nice to see you guys making travel videos again. Give the fridge some time. just chill and it will.

Just found your channel and just love it. Me and my wife own a commercial and residential cleaning company. One of my clients is a top salesman for lazy days here in Fl. So I asked him about these rv's because we want one. He told me the best I can do is point you towards the ones with the least problems but you will have problems. It's just the nature of this beast. Think of the stress these things have to endure on these roads its a lot. That refrigerator issue and shower issue shouldn't be. You guys are saints boy I would be really upset.

While I've never heard of a "never chill," in my travel trailer, I have a Dometic fridge. It takes a very long time to cool off (like damn near 24 hours), but once it does, it stays cold until I turn off the power and propane.

Most of those fridges have a temperature adjustment inside in the back on the silver fins that slides up and down to adjust the temp. It has a wire hooked to it. At least the last fridge I had like that. Get thermo for the inside of your haven’t already so you can monitor the temp. Also, I learned for every minute you have the door open takes it takes about 40 minutes to recover the cold. So with that said, kinda know what you want before opening the door.

You definitely aren’t alone in rv issues. We all have them. It definitely does suck considering the prices being charged and the time it takes to be repaired under warranty sucks. Your warranty period can be used up while sitting at a dealer. Our sewer pipe has the same issue as you talked about and we did buy a valve extension that you mentioned to give us a backup close position. The 12v refrigerator issue we haven’t experienced. This is our 3rd rv with 12v refrigerator and we have been very fortunate. I wouldn’t want anything else. I guess it is just pot luck on everything whether it works or not.
I do like that hitch you have. It will be interesting watching to see how you feel about it in time.

Try to load the fridge with cold food to give it a running start. Pun intended.
Many need a day to cool down.
My new home fridge was not working properly but the freezer was good. Technician found a door that allows air to circulate between the freezer and the fridge. The door was stuck. He replaced the door and a related part. That seems yo have fixed it.
You did an awesome job of taking your fridge apart. Looks like you have a similar door/vent between the two sections. It can take hours or a day to see if adjustments are working.
    Be Well.

I just got the black tank extension valve myself because I had the same issues. First time out, black or grey wouldn’t dump at all. Took to dealer, (can’t find anything wrong). Next trip, valves closed, sewage water poured out with valve closed, (ugh). Back to dealer, (can’t find anything), lol again. 3rd time out, all dumped ok, but even grey tank empty, gauge reads 2/3, lol again. I’m afraid I bought myself a can of worms, and mine isn’t that bad. Oh, I immediately changed the dollar store fart fan, to a nice one.

We have a 3 yo Forest River Ozark that has been plagued with so many issues (big and small), along with poor service (Camping World), that I swore I'd never buy another Forest River. But... I tend to think that all manufacturers within a given price range have similar quality. A shame for how much they cost.

We had four EverChill refrigerators that after 4 to 6 weeks. Would do the same thing your refrigerator is doing. They flew a tech to arizona to try and fix. He could not figure out what was happening. They refunded our money. We went to Best Buy and purchased an Insignia residential style refrigerator. While replacing the EverChill, I figured out what was going on. They are not frost free. The inside coil was freezing up. The freezer was fine. The refrigerator section was in the 50° range. We run our motorhome with solar panels and 48 volt batteries. The Insignia refrigerator runs at about 80 watts normally. The defrost cycle is about 140 watts. If you check out our channel, I have an updated video about the refrigerator. Hope some day we can meet around a campfire.

Let the manufacture/dealer deal with the issues including compensation for time the trailer is down as they CLEARLY new of the issues before selling it.
