Thanks Coach, question on the separation drill (for a 8yr old plyer). When you pull back to feel the lat stretch does that happen while you are striding with your front as if swinging, or after so the separation can be done.
Fantastic tips. My young son is expressing interest in baseball/tee ball but I never played baseball on a team or for fun. I want to show him how to play and these tips/this channel is great for myself to learn as well
You’re a phenomenal teacher! I don’t even play ball but you kept my attention and made me want to play for fun☺️I’m looking for some videos to teach my toddler for t-ball...thanks, you’re awesome
he definitely has the natural teaching ability lol feel free to check out our young star (4 yo) on the diamond also Angela...! We'd love you guys' support!! ruclips.net/video/BeTYHqrUCCk/видео.html
Great work. Thank you. Keep it going!! Thumbs up and subscription. You address clearly and simple. Can you share on how to work the pitch in front of the base and back of the base??
Great vid coach! I'm from Indonesia and i just started learn to play baseball/softball recently, but in your though can i play this game with proper technique because i was nearly 22 years old?and is that baseball techniques same as softball techniques? Because my college don't play baseball and they only play softball, Thx. *ps: sorry for my bad English
Yes, you can absolutely still learn the game and proper fundamentals at 22! Baseball and softball are very similar. In fact, there are very few differences.
Worth the no look drill, the top of the tee is great to focus on at the end of the swing. When I do front toss, I put my car keys on the ground whee their eyes should be at contact and tell the little ones that those are the keys to hitting and have them find the keys after contact. My 13 year old rolls his eyes at me anytime he's helping me and he sees me reach in my pocket but knows it works.
Ibuse tye rubberband analogy with my daughter. I tell her to imaginge there is one end of a rubberband on her front foot and the other side on her backhand and wait until the "rubberband" is tight as possible before letting her hands go to the ball. Great minds think alike!
Great video played baseball at a high level all my life and it seems 2 different skills just because you were good at baseball doesn't mean your a good coach. Trying to teach my kids is rough but it's working with help from bros like you appreciate ya brother
I used the no look drill on my son since he was 5. I wouldn't say drill because I would have fun with it to the point he didn't know he was practicing. As soon as he was able to play, his eyes never left the ball. Now he's eight and made the Allstar team. Thanks for the video!
Hey there..everytime i try to go to the Bat Speed training on the website, McAfee lists the site as very risky......everything good on your end? I really want to check it out for my 11 and 12 year old team.
This is most likely not an issue with the website but could indicate you have an issue with your PC/Web Browser. I suggest you get a secondary malware scanner such as hitman or malwarebytes to be sure that McAfee is getting everything. All the best to you...
Great video! I need help my friend. I started teaching my son way too late due to a major spinal injury I had (years of recovery). My son is 12 and is just learning to play. I will tell you my son is as big as a stocky 15 year old, he's a tank. Forearms as wide as mine (I'm 5'1" 165 lbs, he's already 5'5" 130 lbs. His "natural" swing is just ugly, 1) He swings downward, 2) He doesn't use his arms or wrists at all, it's like he's twisting his body on a pivot to hit the ball, he looks "robotic", generates zero bat speed 3) Even when he accidentally gets a clean hit and squares one up, it never goes farther than the pitchers mound (and I'm about 30 feet away) and his hits never go more than 8 feet off the ground. 4) When I show him a proper hitting technique, he instantly swings the way I just desribed. I was an All Star, easily could have played college ball, I could hit the ball a mile even with my small frame. I'm a patient teacher but I'm not doing well with him, any tips to teach my son to swing with his arms, not twisting his body to swing? I'll end this by saying he already loves the game, he wants to do well so I'm not forcing it on him. I have taken him to the cages a few times. We will be playing softball for now as they're doing this daily in his gym class. Thanks for taking the time to help a disabled dad (I didn't recover from my injuries, but I'll "play" through the pain just to teach him. He should hit the ball a ton with his natural build. God Bless.
Thanks for the support, Tommy! I'd love to help in any way that I can. It's tough for me to provide specific feedback without first seeing his swing. Can you send me an email so we can discuss this more?
I started pitching to him in the back yard with baseballs even though they were playing softball in his gym class, he nearly took my head off even with his ugly, awkward swing, so I know he'll hit like a beast once he actually uses his arms to swing. I guess it's different these days, we didn't play "T-ball" and all my friends could just play...probably didn't hurt I grew up 2 miles from Yankee Stadium so everyone played, we didn't swing at tiny yellow plastic golf balls, didnt use balls attached to a stick etc, it just came naturally.
VERY GOOD VIDEOS VERY HELPFUL PLEASE DO MOE WITH SEEING THE BALL AND KEEP HEAD STILL I WORK WITH TEEBALL THRU HIGHSCOOL ALSO GETTING LOWER BOY INTO SWING THANKYOU
Have your foot land simultaneously with striking the ball, and exhale throughout the swing. Also, slightly counter-torque your hands, guiding the motion with the index knuckle of the top hand. Do all this while maintaining balance, grounded position.
Mike Trout does not step before he bow and arrows back. See his swing in slow motion. It appears you are teaching to move the knob to the catcher after the step but Trout does not do that? Please advise.
trying to help my grandson, I appreciate your time and effort. Thankyou
Were chring to help our grandson to
Really feel your passion for baseball in your videos. Great video and I'm going to use these tricks to teach my young boys this weekend.
I love the "no look" drill. Did this with my 9 year old son for about 5 minutes before BP and he immediately started hitting line drives.
Sdg
Going to use these drills on my 7yo! You’re the best!

My son loved the no look tip it made him get a home run ⚾️
Thanks for the drills - I think the explanation of drill #2, "the separation drill," maybe a little confusing to young players.

Michael Cormier so where the tee should be you put the keys on the ground (instead of the tee) & toss to them ?
#dadlife 😂
Great drills! I will be practicing with my 7 year old. Thanks for sharing!
Why hello coach Justin :) I'll be using these modified for my 12 U softball practice!

Yes, you should have no problems at all. Our site is safe and secure

Label the name as an artist and the one you are amazing👍! We have no clue how this would happen in this game?
