Hello! Thank you for you comment. Carbon-fibre was chosen because of it's superior strength-to-weight ratio, which is crucial for an electric boat. The lighter weight translates to better performance and range. While the initial cost is higher, the long-term benefits in efficiency and maintenance can offset this. Modern carbon fibre repair techniques have also advanced considerably.
