Sadly a bit of swearing is part of this and I am not proud of my swearing but it certainly helps me deal with the endless frustrations of building a boat. Great job team.
I watch Ross for the swearing as much as the boat building. I have learned some wonderful phrases that are in common usage in our house right now. My favourite is “It’s as windy as t*ts” 😂
Ya know how people say things like "Ryan is an absolute legend!" when they are talking about normal people named Ryan? But those Ryans are in fact not legends and are usually just normal dudes that do something forgetably cool for like 30 seconds once in their life. But THIS Ryan? This dude is in fact an absolute legend. Our great grand children are gonna be fixing their spaceship and saying things like "always be a good person because if you are, maybe a Ryan will show up when you need one" and "hey, thanks for the Ryan" or "Dude, you're an absolute Ryan!" Legend. (And Burt is also a little bit alright)
Unfortunately, I could only hit the "Thumbs Up" button once on your comment. If it would have let me, I would have hit it 100 times. Thanks for your amazing comments about me. If only I was half the guy you think I am. Delos and MJ are awesome people and it has been a pleasure working for and with them. I promise you that I'm not working as hard as they are. Thanks for your support and love. You'll see me again on another sailing channel helping out soon enough. I promise you that Burt is way cooler than me! Take care.
@@MJSailing exactly... I guess the fact that your boat comes from Vietnam, Cu Chi tunnels and all makes sense, but seriously how do they do that in Vietnam at the boat yard? Do people have to crawl in the same way?
Burt & Ryan will be sadly missed, these guys put there heart and soul into the project for the entire 2 weeks they were with you ... ps i hope you enjoyed Annapolis
Jess!!!!!! Hats on you girl!!!!!! I’ve been watching all your videos of your “from the beginning “ playlist OMG GIRL!!!! You got me on this one!!! For real! My respect to you amiga! #girlspower!!!!
You guys should have an overhead camera where you can see the entire boat just for a reference of exactly what you're looking at when you're describing different parts and we can see the progress. Awesome videos
Jess, you’re amazing crawling into the confined space in the hull-I get claustrophobic just watching you…you and Matt are doing a great job-you two should be extremely proud!!!
Great help from those two! I said it earlier in a Delos video, Ryan is someone I'd go offshore with anytime. Great calm vibe and super helpful attitude. Couple of great blokes.
Wow, that turned out to be harder than it seemed it would be, but you guys got the transom bonded to the hull and bridgedeck! That is a huge milestone, so you should be proud of what you've accomplished. Also, Ryan and Burt were there when you really needed the help, so you better take them on a long passage soon. It's looking good!
It can't be coincidence that Burt and Ryan appear just in time to fully help with the transom. But it was perfect that they did. Amazing to think that you could at this point bond the nose pieces on and float your boat. That in itself is a milestone. Amazing ride. This series has been so much fun to watch. And you are still smiling after all the hard work and struggles.
I agree with Ed, it sounds like a Godwink to me. Burt and Ryan , thank you so much for stepping up to help Jess and Matt at this time. You guys are such a blessing. Steve Herzing Katy, TX
Once again this proves that Jess is the superhero behind the build...I was getting uncomfortable just watching where you were in the boat securing the bulkheads. 👏👏👏👏👍
LoL... a little stressful??? I’ve been subscribed & following you prior to the beginning of your Cat build. Your Cat build project is one of the boldest, if not insane DYI projects EVER. Epic effort. I’ll continue to watch. Wishing you every success.
It was so fun seeing you all working together and hanging out with you at the boat show and you were so helpful at the boatyard, including taking photos of the Patreon group! I am sure Matt and Jessica will miss you both! We are so glad to have met all of you. Heidi and Franny.
Nice vid. You make it look easy. My dad put a boat together at Cocosolo in the Panama Canal Zone.(Neither exist anymore) I can remember marine plywood and fiberglass was in short supply. What fish and lobster could get you in those days. He put it all together, all he started out was with the hull and deck.(Cuddy) Raw. Only 7 of these hulls were produced, locally. His was the only one with twin outboards. He cut the transom out for the engines. Called her the "Fried Rice". Got that name from a dock worker, whose nick name was "Fried Rice". What memories running her on both the Atlantic and Pacific Coasts of Panama.
Great job guys, and what a help Burt and Ryan have been through this process. Jess, the small holes you have been entering would drive me crazy as my claustrophobia would go over the top. Love the job you are doing on the boat.
Gosh thank God Burt and Ryan were there to give a helping hand, they are heros.. It must of been a super stressful job because of the curing restraints. I think I would've done a bit of swearing myself a matter of fact I know I would of.. wow. Great job you all. great job!
I can’t stop watching you guys. I know this has got to be difficult at times. Please keep moving forward and hang in there. The reward is going to be awesome 😎
Awesome! Watching a few problems on Lagoon 450 wall crackings! Every one of your joints is fully done properly! Great work and your going to have a beautiful catamaran! Thanks for Vloging it!
Wow I felt the pressure on time in fitting the huge transom, can only imagine what actually doing it must have felt like! Cheers to the boys they are awesome not everyone (actually few would) donate time like they have. Shows the quality of folks Matt and Jess must be.
And I thought my last MRI was disturbing. I had to look away when you squeezed through that passage on your back and it almost rubbed your nose. I made the mistake of taking the extra pillow, lol.
What a great couple of guys to help you with the transom, probably would have been an impossible task without them, and the boat is taking shape. Fantastic team work , see you next week.
You being in the hull reminds me of the many times i have been in the tail of small planes. I got stuck twice. The wait for someone to come along, to grab an ancle or two, was not fun.
And the fun continues, lol I always loved a challenging jigsaw puzzle !! Take a break, drink a couple of cold ones. Live, love and laugh !!! Mad RESPECT for the both of you ! I'm enjoying watching the two of you, working together on this project/adventure, I admire your adventurous spirit !!!
Jessica you are working so hard that you need a couple of days break from the project -Matt also . Your tiredness is showing and a day or so relaxing won't break the bank ,just clear the minds. You could have been sealed in there - good job done and claustrophobia you don't seem to have a problem - amazing work from all of you. Best wishes for your next stages. Fantastic job.!!
I don't know how you did that Jessica. I almost had to fast forward through parts of it, (like Mike 1651) my heart was beating fast because of feeling claustrophobic just watching you. Good job done. Also, a good job you are nice and slim.
BURT AND RYAN: You two are just plain awesome for helping these demented people in their project. I wait for the day when you get the executive passenger cabins on a cruise!!! Jess!!!! EVERY single episode I am impressed with your go get it attitude. I hope Ryan understands he got a real keeper when he nabbed you!!! It will be interesting to see the subscriber numbers the closer you get to completion..... the "newbies" will not have the satisfaction of seeing you bring this vessel to life. Do you have a optimistic ballpark estimate yet on when you'll finish the boat?
Wow, great progress and great help from the guys. Lot's of positive vibes as always with your episodes but seeing people volunteer like this brings it all to a higher level. Glad you got everything pressed together before it set up. Looking forward to next week as usual.
I so wish I could help at moments like that when you just need about four more hands to keep the work flow going. The stress is palpable. Burt and Ryan, thank you for helping these two out, your work will be afloat for decades to come! Thank you all for an exciting episode!
Jess - how many times did you crawl into those tight spaces ? Once to put the camera in to film you going in and once to get the camera out after filming yourself climbing out!! That is dedication and why you guys are so fab and make great videos… keep up the great work…. 👏🏻👍🍾
So many times, I can't even remember! But luckily Ryan was able to stick his hand with the GoPro into the back part by the hull to show me getting in and out. 😊
Will admit I don't follow every episode but the progress you have made seems to be incredible. Are you more or less on schedule to where you thought you would be at this point? I know initially you had some delivery issues regarding the containers but you seem to be doing really, really well. Matt is such a craftsmen his attention to detail is incredible.
True planning and preparation are actually not about making the project go without flaws. It's so that you can get the job done when things go to $#!t. It was only *because* you had planned and prepared and rehearsed that when you had a monster problem come up in the middle that you were able to get it done in time -- all the other parts polished enough that they didn't get in the way. Great job! You guys continue to impress with your progress on this huge project. I hope overcoming potential pitfalls like today's help keep you motivated during this build!

Back, many years ago (when I still had hair) I found the best/cheapest way to keep you hair out of the resin/paint/what-ever is an ordinary short sleeve t-shirt. Start to put it on, but not all the way, stop before you put your entire head through the neck-hole, just your face. Tie the sleeves behind your head, and tuck it into the neck of you shirt, along with your hair.
Having seen what Lagoon did with some of their bonding of ship parts, (or lack thereof) you four did an outstanding job on the transom. Cheers to Burt and Ryan for all of their help! What a God-send! Hello from Calgary, Canada.
Way to go Burt and Ryan!!!!! Free people helping free people be free is a most beautiful thing to behold!!!
It was truly our pleasure! MJ are super cool to work with.
Ditto!
Now THAT is how you bond bulkheads to the hull and superstructure! Excellent job!
Oi! Lagoon! You watching?
Sadly a bit of swearing is part of this and I am not proud of my swearing but it certainly helps me deal with the endless frustrations of building a boat. Great job team.
But at least when *you* cuss it sounds really cool!
I watch Ross for the swearing as much as the boat building. I have learned some wonderful phrases that are in common usage in our house right now. My favourite is “It’s as windy as t*ts” 😂
My heart races watching you in the space. No way I could do that. Bless you Jessica
I don't even care how long this video gets, every minute was entertaining.
So happy to hear you enjoyed every minute of it!! 😍

Thanks JH, I'll wake up still laughing about your post, funny stuff..... But, you are spot on, Ryan 'Super Scuba' is the best.
I loved this post! So accurate about Ryan - and the burn on Burt was great too (he's an absolute legend as well) -Matt
Hah. The dude abides, always. You’re all Mensch.
Wow, that was so great of Burt and Ryan to come help on such a huge section. 👏
It was our pleasure to lend a helping hand. These guys are totally worth it. Thanks for supporting MJ
I think that is really admirable of you to guys helping out for a couple of weeks I’m sure it was really appreciated good job 👍
This episode is the Definition of "Knowing every inch of your boat" 😂👍
Outside...and in. 😂

Shows what can get done with team work. Burt and Ryan really helped you make the 40 minute time limit.
G'day from a sunny Sydney Australia. Geez, you guys have done a lot. Great work. Can't wait for "Splash Day"!!!
22 months and counting! 😀
Jess is a brave, hard working soul!
You guys should have an overhead camera where you can see the entire boat just for a reference of exactly what you're looking at when you're describing different parts and we can see the progress. Awesome videos
Can't wait to see the interior start taking place.
Plan is to work on each hull side through the winter, building those up. Then in the spring/summer we'll build out the salon. 🙂
Life on the hulls is another cat build in Oz...from scratch...
Another great watch 👍🏴
Jess, you’re amazing crawling into the confined space in the hull-I get claustrophobic just watching you…you and Matt are doing a great job-you two should be extremely proud!!!
I wouldn't be able to do it. But I have been stuck in a confined space so.......no thanks. 😁🤘
You two are troopers. I hope you find time to replenish your enthusiasm by taking a little time off to recharge. You’ve earned it.
Just after this was filmed, we had Annapolis Boat Show, which was a great way to unwind with friends!
An epic Masterclass in sailboat and relationship building.
I look forward to your videos every week. Keep up the great work and can not wait to see the splash day!!!
You are all so inspiring.
Thank you so much! 🥰
Great job guys, Love the job you are doing on the boat.

So, wicked cool! What a team, demonstrating why hi-tech hulls are costly!
Ryan is a total rockstar
"Wheeeee!". You made me Smile. 🤗
that was fun, sorta epic putting on that part with the clock ticking
It has definitely been our toughest bond yet. 😬
My claustrophobia is kicking in just watching you getting in and out.
Best wishes from the far North.
“Wood” comments are very funny. I like when you guys keep it light.

Insane amount of work but your new home will be amazing! 👍👍👊
That would have been tough to do on your own. So great that the guys were able to help. 🍻
That was a big job getting that transom on. Ryan and Burt were fantastic, and cool guys to be able to take time and work on the boat. We'll done guys.
