    I have these in 101a 56mm and they are considerably harder than my Ricta Clouds 78a. Weird how yours are soft. Maybe a bad batch?

      Yeah I think so, I reached out to mini logo and they offered me a new set of mini logos or a set of bones so of course I grabbed the bones. They were pretty cool and understanding.

    Would these is a 56/58 be good for learning to ride bowls?

    • @costaricaBL
      @costaricaBL  Месяц назад +1

      @@JaviSancho93 These wheels are supposed to be hard wheels and have some slide to them according to the labeling but in my experience they were softer than you average street skating wheel and very grippy. Personally I like my wheels to have some slide to then but if your looking for something that grips the ground well and doesn’t slide out too much and also has good impact absorption I would say these are good. Grippy is probably better for a beginner in bowls. 👍🏻

      @@costaricaBL they keep decent speed?

    • @costaricaBL
      @costaricaBL  Месяц назад

      @@JaviSancho93 They felt a little slower to me but nothing too noticeable. They are softer wheels so that usually makes them a little slower but this also creates a smoother ride so its kind of a trade off. Bigger wheels like the 56/58 will help, bigger wheels will be faster. Getting good bearings will also make a difference with more speed. Hope that helps.

      I've been learning on cruiser wheels. 60mm 78a at my well maintained skatepark. Do you think they would be faster than super soft cruiser wheels? I'm still learning to pump, so I'm looking at entry-level prices. Thanks.

    • @costaricaBL
      @costaricaBL  Месяц назад +1

      @@JaviSancho93 Thats hard to say since bigger wheels are generally faster but cruiser wheels are definitely a lot softer. If your looking to get into doing tricks and stuff I would say these wheels will be a lot better. Your not gonna notice the difference in speed as much as you will notice the way they feel is different. Cruiser wheels are smoother but they are also bouncy and clunky as apposed to skatepark and street wheels which will give you more control with more technical tricks.

    I"ve bought two sets of Mini Logo 101a C-cut wheels, 50mm and 51mm. I started skating the 50mm wheels first, after about two weeks I tried the 51mm wheels on my other board and they felt alot softer. The only thing I can think that might make them feel softer is the treads haven't wore off yet.

    • @costaricaBL
      @costaricaBL  5 месяцев назад

      The treads wore off already but I think I just got a miss labeled set or something. I got another comment saying I should reach out to the mini logo customer service. I ended up following their advice and the people at mini logo are totally cool and sent me a pack of new bones wheels which are like $30 more than the wheels I got. Ill probably buy another set of mini logos in the future to give them another chance, but Im thinking I just got some defects.

    Dude ! I had the same issue with the Ojs from concentrate 101a , they are NOT hards and fall apart in chunks on the first sesh , its funny because my dragon wheela are hader i think 100a is the shit , anything above is BS

Im still not sure if it was a bad batch of wheels or if they are just like that but they were cool and helped me out so im happy haha. That sucks about the OJ’s I guess you never know what your gonna get. Ive heard good things about the spitfire soft sliders so they are next on my list to try. Dragon wheels felt pretty good to me too.

      @@costaricaBL I think 101a is not a real thing, it's actually a B scale and it's not over 100a , I heard it from some guy that works with rubbers and stuff, so most likely 101-103a is la a full coverage insurance... It's not real lol , just marketing , but I will say so far every 100a I've tried are actually near glass hard , it's super dope there took care of you ! I haven't emailed OJ and probably won't lol but I'm about to try they're 95a ? Swamp wheels I'll see for that goes

    I have some old mini-logo wheels that I still skate and quite like, and have always been happy with their products. Beyond that, any issues I ever did have were resolved by customer service. It’s worth reaching out at least. I know they also make 90a wheels so I imagine it’s possible they were mislabeled/misprinted. I’ve heard of counterfeit skate wheels, but mini logo would be an odd choice as a price point brand. It would be like counterfeiting 1 dollar bills

    • @costaricaBL
      @costaricaBL  6 месяцев назад +1

      I didn’t even think about a misprint but that could totally be a possibility. Like I said in the vid I have always like mini logo products so it was weird getting wheels that were so soft. I thought the same thing about the counterfeiting, I like how you worded it being like counterfeiting a $1 haha, I was just throwing it out there as a very unlikely possibility. Thanks for the comment and for checking out my vid its always cool to read the comments from people watching.

      @@costaricaBL i got some bones x97s and they had a cosmetic defect, a bubble in the sidewall, like the ones you'll often see in the center core/bearing seat. i emailed them with batch/serial # more for their benefit/QC purposes, they were def skateable just a bit of a bummer for a premium wheel brand at a premium wheel price. at first they said i could send them in for a replacement set, but i didn't want to risk getting a worse set. when they looked at the pics they sent me 2 more sets free of charge and let me keep them. idk if you still have the packaging with the #s, but it's worth emailing them and see what they say. but yeah they make 85, 90, 95, 101, so i think it's possible they sent the wrong duro wheel to print/packaging for the 101
