Wow.. love the idea of built-in webbing for edc tools in the 2nd zipper area. I’ve been using a separate pouches for edc tools and strapping it at the front webbing. My quickdraw looks bulkier with the additional pouches. Plus, the dedicated tablet compartment is just awesome. this BYC#1 is simply brilliant. Awesome 👏🏼

I love the options, and 4 is very generous, would be interesting to see which is the best seller. The new pockets look very nice and great idea to make the front one less deep so you can lay somethings at the very bottom and not have items sink below and compete for space. I hope the bottom bottle holder parts can be opted in or out too to save on weight and having a more stable bottom so the bag stands easily. I guesstimating a 1L Nalgene should even fit into the main cavity standing up, I always prefer bottles standing up if possible.
You make building the bag so effortless... I just placed an order for one, looks great! Can you make it to not have the velcro bottom and D rings if that is not something we want?
@davidtaroyan 😆 it was a tough build and I did experience mental breakdown at a few points, it was Rory's editing that made it all good and effortless. That's a relief for sure.
I think the execution of the water bottle holder at the bottom is as good as it can be. However, not sure if the trade off of not being able to place the bag vertically on a flat surface is worth it. I think that, the bag being so spacious inside, would allow for one of those square/flat water bottles and solve the problem in a much cleaner way. I would keep the lashing straps at the bottom for a jacket or anything that I don't want inside the bag.

I would ike to see this as a stock lineup, with options to add the bottom slots and straps, with options of side compression straps or molle.

Yup if you can find a 7cm flat or square bottle, it'll really help. With it being so small, I think investing on a hero clip will solve the problem.
Agreed. I didn't agree with the suggestion by others but this is flat enough empty it still can stand up I would think.
