Usally gliders are stored in a trailer to prevent them from damage. Especially the UV light and water can damage the gelcoat, which is very important for the aerodynamics of a glider.

They are automatically connected at modern gliders
If you pause the video at 0:46, you can see two "funnels" in the rear square hole. At 1:24, you can see two bellcrancks on the wing root rib, which engage into those funnels. The elevator connection can be seen at 3:13, those pins on the rotating shaft at top rear of the fin engage into bushings on the elevator.

Or on older gliders you have to fit a ball into a bearing and then secure it with a cylinder that you can screw to cover the bearing, then it is secured with a pin.

Fly videos are awsome.... but ground, material are great ! Ps- still waiting for detailed ground video regarding sailplane. Showing levers, inside wings, ballast etc ( all except avionics). Cheers

why would you do a FES check, or any check through the canopy window.. things can get out of control very quickly, or you can simply ruin the canopy...

In Tschechien und evlt. auch in Frankreich ist das erlaubt. In Kombination mit meinem VW Crafter funktioniert das auch gut so schnell zu fahren ;)
