Excellent video. Very informative. I love the shots around the waterfall. I am currently researching and watching many videos on the HoverAir X1, and this one was great. For your information, you might want to change your description regarding the discount code. I tried it, and it gives you a $15 discount, not $125.
Thanks for the nice comment! Spent a lot of time on this video so always good to know it was helpful in the end even if only for one person. And thanks for your savvy proofreading skills. Originally had a $12 off code but swapped it for one that gave $15 off and evidently forget to delete a number in the process. Hope that didn't get your hopes up too much.
I LOOVE the fallowing u and go around 360 & Tough to breaks an all that good shyt ...ONLY thing NOT gonna getting this is Camera ..i don't less then 4K ..i gonna pay few hundred more getting that DJI mini pro for $750 from Costco comes with extra battery case & all ..is really good price...this is nice 2
Glad you found the review helpful! Always love to hear about my videos helping people find the right gear to help them make the videos they want to make. Can’t wait to see it implemented in your productions!
Fingers crossed 🤞 Given the young nature of this company there’s no guarantee when/if there will be an X2 though there seems to be a growing number of people that are aware of it.
Unfortunately I am not the most familiar with NYC drone laws because while the FAA regulates the air, big cities like NYC have taken to making laws concerning where you can fly from (usually making it illegal to fly in their parks). If you’re interested in finding out where you can fly in NYC I’d try and find some NYD Drone Pilot groups on Facebook and see where the people on there are flying.
in the directions it says not to fly it over water or off extreme heights, this drone is not meant for those types of shot, this is a content creators drone street interviews b-roles unique angles etc. people who don't have, an actual cameraman. think news reporter, on scene shooting a segment, then getting some crowd shots maybe a interview or two. that's what this is.
Yup. I was just mentioning it as a negative cause when most people hear “drone” their first thought is often getting shots flying over water or extreme heights. It’s a limitation I’d love to see removed with the V2 but we’ll see cause as you mentioned it’s not really what HOVER Is aiming for this drone to be.
@@DigitalTechReviewsTips I understand I have one myself, but thenn it will have limitations and have to compete with drone that do that and probably do it better, I think they found a niche, those that I mentioned before but also those who want a drone but don't want to know drone stuff. my only thing I would like 4k 30 video, maybe a low light or night vision infrared type option. i consider this a serious drone for non drone people. I think its a good niche.
You can control it via your phone using the manual control interface (I showcase that briefly in the introduction) but it limits you to about 50ft in the air and you can only fly maybe 100-150ft away from where you took off.
Yup. I talk about that at 11:34. I didn’t go too hard on it because the intended audience (people like Ryan who are just using it for fun) seemingly are fine with the quality, but I tried to stress that unlike the DJI Mini series of drones (which can be used as a stepping stone to launch a drone business) there is no way a professional could even try and sneak a shot in from the HoverAir X1.
@@DigitalTechReviewsTips at least you are honest man, cause this is something that many people point out to many other reviewers and they comment that the quality is great, as if we were blind. but I undestarnd this is meant for tiktoker or instagramers. I would also enjoy one if price was more down, but and that price point, I'd rather pay for an actual drone and deal with the other parts.
Yeah, some people just get a little too swept up in the tech being new to consider critically who it might be for. For me there’s no bad tech, just wrong tech for the person/use. Some might gladly choose this over the new similarly priced DJI Mini 4K if they mainly want ease of use and no controller, but obviously those of us that place greater value on image quality and versatility would opt for the DJI.
What FAA regulations specifically are you referring to? Lack of a controller? (Luckily I don’t really know of anyone who would want to use this drone for professional purposes cause it’s video quality is not the greatest)
Ah yes. Well lucky for me I filmed this all before RID took effect cause I don’t think this drone could carry a module. I do think the FAA is gonna have to modernize/adapt their rules as these selfie drones become more popular. Many RUclipsrs and influencers who make money are using this drone without registration but it’s also hard to argue that a drone that weighs less than a baseball and is limited to a 50ft-100ft range from the pilot (50ft vertical) really qualifies as an “aircraft”.
I think it should price at $300. People will buy more.
Got mine 2 weeks ago. Great drone its not complicated simple to used with amazing resolution.
Love to hear that! Glad it’s working well for you.

That looks great, I can see many uses for my metal detecting and e bike reviews here in the UK.
A massive thanks from the skill school.

DJI version will use all of the features of the X1 and 10X up them - DJI does reverse engineering to the next level -Thanks for the video info - DR
How do u enable the voice recording in this drone? I cant seem to figure it out to record audio. Any help? TIA
Great vid! I loved chatting! And I’m glad my footage got used !
Thanks Ryan! Means a lot coming from you with your editing skills. And thanks for that footage too! The stuff I shot was pretty boring in comparison
I really want one but doing my best to wait for the Hover x2 when it comes out I'm sure it's going to be better
Fingers crossed 🤞 Given the young nature of this company there’s no guarantee when/if there will be an X2 though there seems to be a growing number of people that are aware of it.
excellent review DTR!
Is there a way to export downloaded videos from the app to the i0S photo/video storage? There is a missing icloud icon missing from the app.
I really want this for myself, but am I allowed to use it in NYC, for example in Central Park?

Clever design. Very reliable. Easy operation.
Way too slow for sport. No obstacle avoidance. Needs a better camera and gimbal.
It’s not designed for any of that, there are options for that. It filled a completely different market
looks cool 🔥I hadnt heard of it before
Is it just me or is the audio and video from the drone footage not perfectly synced? It seems to be off by ~15 frames.

Just matter of time . DJI will come with something cheaper and better
The only thing is video quality. Is not that good to what we sre used to nowadays. Hopefully they get that better in another iteration

Video from this drone can only be used for personal use in the USA due to FAA regulations.

@@DigitalTechReviewsTips for instance video post on a monetized channel requires a part 107 + registration + RID.
