36:29 One thing I noticed in this video is that you wear your bags lower than a lot of people. To the point where the part of the strap that's about halfway down and begins to angle outward to usually go around someone's chest and ribs is the point resting on the bones of your shoulder. I wonder if the straps were a little tighter, if the more narrow, higher up part of the strap would be more on the meat of your shoulder and traps vs the shoulder joint itself. This also might be why other bags have their sternum strap nearly choking you. Not sure if you've addressed this before as something you do but it is just something I just noticed. Just to be clear, I am certainly not telling you what's the correct way to wear a bag, as we all have different body types and preferences, whatever method is comfortable to you is obviously best. Anyways, big fan of the content like usual! Great review. I pretty much had this in my cart since your unboxing but ended up not purchasing it as I have been completely enamored by my Zuca Compact lately and will be sitting out of the backpack market for a bit (so I say for now anyway).
You may be on to something there. Good point that each person wears bags differently and may feel different things. My experience with fitment may not be what others find.
That is an astute observation. Most people should find that the straps should be tight enough that the discs sit in the small of the back and do not make contact with the hips. This is the sweet spot for the fitment. Depending on your torso length, the adjustment on the length of the straps will play a role in where the straps sit on the user's shoulders.
Top compartment... If the zipper was configured like a rang bag, the top flap could then be flopped to the outside, and the slip pocket put on the "interior" side of the flap for minis etc. Small velcro patch to hold in place. This would also allow for FULL use of the top width, giving 2 top load pockets, one on each side of the top disc pocket.
I just got this bag. I already own a rebel and the ride height and width point you brought up is spot on. With the same amount of the same discs in each bag the weight distribution is better with the rebel.
Watched a good chunk of this and didn't see you mention anything about the strap tension.... I got one a week ago.. I'm finding that I have to keep re-adjusting the strap lengths because the adjustment points seem to keep slipping too easily.... This may be a deal breaker for me as I typically use mine pretty tight and intend to use this on a 4 wheeler during bad weather... if it keeps loosening up that is no bueno.
Thanks for the reviews! So let's ask the question everyone is thinking..... If we are comparing the legend to the pound, are pound bags completely overrated and overpriced to this new addition to the market? Are they worth it? With the silvertip bag being released it is probably close to $700 shipped and customs around $550. I'm curious about the cost to value ratio of each bag based on their similarities.
Thank you so much for your critical reviews of all these bags I’m looking for a new bag this fall and these have been so helpful. I think I recognized the course with the squatch and latitude 64 bags Megiddo by chance?
I had not heard of that bag before you mentioned it. I had heard that Foundation was working on a bag and I assume this is it. I watched the video on their website and its looks great for the price. I will add it to my list of stuff to keep track of, and hope to get one.
Hey Doth, do you have a compilation of bag review notes? I would be curious to see the side by side stats of all the bags you have reviewed! I'm hunting for a new bag.
This was one of the bags I was looking at when deciding on a new bag. The color options was really what kept me from pulling the trigger. not a fan of orange accents. I was using a Ridge V3 and even though i like the stool built in, my back was starting to hate carrying it. Ended up going with the Wild Discs Kangaroo bag. Was hoping there was a review of that somewhere before buying it, but no luck. Thankfully it seems like a really nice bag so far.
Yes I will review it. I bought it at a store locally and it was not in a box so I skipped the live stream unboxing deal that I have been doing. I have not had it long. Eventually I will start carrying it and give it a full review
Nice review, I have already pre ordered, also already own the pound octohaul. My reason for this bag is to reduce the use of my octo in winter months to prolong it's life, and still have the capacity and feel as my main bag. As for the putter section I wonder if a small pvc insert that would provide a rigid platform for the putters to rest on soo that they sit asthetically pleasing ???I shall give this a try once I receive mine.
Do you think this bag is as comfortable as a pound? What I noticed when I put on my buddy’s was even when loaded with disc and drinks it still felt light bc of the back padding. Is the Squatch similar in feel?
another in depth on point review! by chance - have you seen the "wild discs kangaroo" bag? looks like nothing else i've seen... would love to see & hear you break it down.
What do you think of dropping keys / wallet in hydration bladder zipper? It seems to nestle the objects into a nice spot - without poking into your back. It does require removing putters to zip it up. No different than me having to shove my hand into the tight AX-4 grip front pouch IMO. (carrying both bags with 6 putt / approach discs up top)
Not really, I think they are very close stability wise, aat least as far as the core of the bag is concerned. The Squatch has a little bigger footprint so that may help it tip less, but also the outer tall side pockets on the Pound are stiffer because of the extra horizontal zipper and the vertical zipper is a much larger gauge with adds stiffening.
Do you think you could fit maybe a 2L hydration bladder inside one of the side pockets? Maybe have the straw come out of the top though the zipper and tied off on of the straps
Hey doth, where would hang a towel at on this bag, don’t see any where towards top of bag or around the straps like the thorpe. Guess could hook on the side but seems low
I've not used the Legend since doing this review, I've been testing other bags. Sorry I don't have better info. There is a Squatch disc golf group/club/fan page on facebook and the folks there can probably give you better info.
Thanks for the thorough review! In your opinion, is the Rebel or the Squatch more durable (your previous answer to a different comment on this video was helpful about other differences between the two bags)? The cordura nylon seems to have a good bit of hype, but I have never felt felt a bag with cordura.
The material on the Squatch should hold up to a wider variety of abuse compared to the rebel. However some bag failures are from design issues rather than specifically a failure of the material. We won't truly know the full durability of the Legend until they have been around for a few years. I don't recall seeing any comments out there about Rebel bags failing, but I've also not searched for that specific thing. Maybe it would be worth your time to search a few forums to see if others have reported any durability issues with the rebel. I have a number of material samples showing up soon and I may do a durability comparison test to show what these different materials can handle.
Hard to choose between those two. I've only got a couple rounds with the Rebel so first I would want to carry it more so I had similar time with both. The cooler, fabric quality, extra storage, and soft back are really nice on The Legend. The Rebel is so nice because of its open storage, easy to see and access all your discs quickly, very organized and easy to access storage for smaller items. They are both good, and offer some different options depending on what you might prioritize more.
anyone happen to know if/how well the cooler would fit in the putter compartment of a grip ax5?.. trying to explore possibilities to talk myself out of buying a bag just for a cooler lmao
Which bag would you prefer if you had to choose one would it be the Squatch or the DD Paratrooper? They're the two Ive been deciding between to upgrade to.
I have been researching what kind of bag I want and out of the prodigy bp1v3, latitude 64 luxury e4 and the mvp voyager pro v2 what one would you guys suggest
I love how Doth talks for 4:30 minutes about the bag and then says “let’s get right into it.” Best bag reviews out there.
*I love how Doth talks
I would love a comparison to the newer 3.0 Legend 🤔
Love your reviews!
Great review !!! Still waiting on the La Croix/Nalgene sponsorship announcement.
I like your dedication to beverages
Love the videos! Please review the new squatch link bag and the pound Rufus.
Where's Doth been...............hasn't posted in a while

I was equally pleased with the informational aspect and the extraordinarily calming and intelligent commentary presented here. Good shit, Doth.

If I hadn't put so much money into my Transit cart, this would have been the direction I went. Such a cool bag. Great review as always!

After having both for some time, which bag do you prefer?
@@Froag. the squatch. Its just a notch above the rebel.
Very nice bag, Doth. Great video as always - thanks!
Kryptek Highlander color.
Color matched zippers.
Wider top compartment zipper.
Coyote/ FDE webbing and hardware.
This would EASILY be my dream bag.

Pound is worth it to me.
I agree with Doth. Mainly due to the warranty with a Pound bag. If something happens with it, they’ll fix it.
@@TLK3 Same with the legend, saw a guy with the legend 2.1 who had an issue and the ended up replacing it with the 3.0 for no charge.
Any chance of you doing a review of the new Ezra Link bag soon?
Great review. Love the attention to detail.
Great review Doth. Been looking forward to this one and you didn’t disappoint.
DOTH. u r a legend.
What a comprehensive review. Very well done.
Thanks!
Why wouldn’t you just put the putter bag on the backside of the putter pocket?
Having a bag named Squatch with no feet seems like a major misstep.
Thank you so much for your critical reviews of all these bags I’m looking for a new bag this fall and these have been so helpful. I think I recognized the course with the squatch and latitude 64 bags Megiddo by chance?
Could you look at the pioneer disc golf bag.? Would love to see how it compares to more expensive bags that it’s trying to mimic!
I had not heard of that bag before you mentioned it. I had heard that Foundation was working on a bag and I assume this is it. I watched the video on their website and its looks great for the price. I will add it to my list of stuff to keep track of, and hope to get one.

Love it. Thanks for the info Doth.
Think you’ll be doing a review of the squatch link bag soon?

How you like the Wild Discs bag? What’s your pros/cons of it vs Squatch bag?
Sun King brewery coozie? When were you in Indianapolis?
My friend was out there for work and brought it back to me
Sun King is good 🍺 👍
Wow... that is pretty amazing looking.
You mentioned the latitude E4 luxury bag. Are you going to make a review on it?
Yes I will review it. I bought it at a store locally and it was not in a box so I skipped the live stream unboxing deal that I have been doing. I have not had it long. Eventually I will start carrying it and give it a full review

3 Nathan Queen DGPT champ discs? 🤘🤘
I dunno, 1st question answered should have been how many beers fit in the cooler
Sink bag! Can’t wait to Get mine
Great review, thanks a bunch.
Hey Doth,
Being you've reviewed all the higher end bags I've seen...
Geip ax4/ax5 or this squatch bag, in your opinion...whats the better buy?
Been wondering the same thing, from what I’ve seen if you want a lot of storage the ax5 is not a good bag.
Mans had beer in the cooler pouch...lol. Bag and beer review would probably get more views XD. Just kidding great review again!
Can you tell me if the cooler insert fits into the pound bag side pocket, was thinking of buying the cooler separately
Torn between a Squatch and a Rebel. Please tell me what to do. I beg you!
Hey Doth are you going to do a Wild Discs Kangaroo bag review? They look really good quality wise
I almost ordered one yesterday with their good sale, but I did not place the order. I will keep looking, I would like to try one.

There is a dedicated 2L bladder pocket in the back of the putter pocket complete with straw rings on the straps

Have you done a prodiscus bag
I have not. I've looked at buying one a couple times, but never did.
Will this fit in a zuca large backpack cart?
how's the bag holding up now? does it stand up well when on ground? and does the cooler insert sweat at all if you put ice in it?

3 putters in the putter pocket is plenty though…
Yea 3 is great, and that leaves room to put something larger in the mini pocket
Do you still have this bag
Hey doth great review, what letter grade would you give this bag?
I would compare this grade wise with Grip AX4, DD Ranger, Prodigy BP-1 v3, and Upper Park Rebel.
