Awesome performances by all the contestants. I am so proud to be #teamAnderson. His collaboration with Praiz just showed two intelligent singers who made use of all the time they had to prepare and deliver. I hope he works more with Cobhams. I love and respect you, man! Woow, so this is it? This is where I get to say see you next time to all princes and princesses who have been a part of me this past couple of weeks. This is where I get to say bye to early morning including midnight notifications and buzz on my Google+. It was really strange how I could tell a particular person has commented on my post each time I feel my phone vibrate, that's how spiritual we became. You guys were really amazing, I met brothers and sisters on this platform and your kind words gave me courage and made me stronger. Not sure I suffered too many criticisms and abuses but I received the few ones wholeheartedly and made corrections where there was a need for such. The refresh option will not forget your deeds each time we wait for that daily academy upload to come up neither will it forget how much you guys clicked on it during the city auditions up to the opening gala. It was really fun streaming the daily academy activities with you guys especially those that have to set early morning/midnight alarm just to be a part of it. I can't wait for another season to start and hopefully we'll see some of you in the academy that time.
To cap my season overview, I once said the online voting was capable of springing up surprises but I didn't see that of Pearl coming. Anderson may also have benefited greatly from it cause it looked like he had more fans abroad than at home. I really don't wanna doubt the credibility of the whole system but I believe Jeff was a worthy winner except someone is tryna be a sore loser cause his/her preferred contestant did not win the grand price. I would have him pick up the price ahead of the other contestants apart from Deinde whom I was supporting cause he was that outstanding right from the top24 stage. He showed versatility, vocal dexterity, stage presence and in addition cornered and collombid my babe within weeks. While the final standings may not be pleasing to all, I think all 6 and some before them will go on to have a wonderful career. The platform and the fame has already been established and I can't wait for the studio versions of those remixes to hit our airwaves including their videos and their much anticipated record label signing and hit tracks. To my #IbinuNation, sure we did our best and not finishing in the top4 was quite disappointing but am sure our boy will go on to have a great career. Ama see you all in 2016 God willing!!!

It looked at first that season 8 lacked it, but surprisingly it became one of the best talents project fame has ever paraded. Weldone project fame. Am sad about Arewa, it was a major upset, but then that's the power of voting. For me it was between the three As' ( Arewa, Ada and Anderson). well Since all of them showed excellent skills, I will say the judgment was fair overall. Congrats to all the stars and winners.

I have some reservations, in which I would like to state- In season 7, two contestants Ruby and Debby were sisters (cousins) both from a wealthy home. Rukky came 2nd, which I still think Emekus deserved but I guess his humble background cheated him. Coincidentally again in Season 8 Pearl and Ruby were sisters (TWINS) both from a wealthy home. Note that Ruby was brought in as a wild card contestant. Haba! MTN this is just too much of a coincidence out of the thousands of people that auditioned. Well, there is nothing too hard for God to do. To be sincere, Pearl is a great singer but she wasn’t that exceptional in performances when compared to some of the contestant, but she was lucky to clinch the 2nd position because of her wealthy background.
My point really is- What is the rationale behind putting all contestant on probation? Is it to make up for the money spent on prizes to be awarded or just a way of making the audience feel part of the decision making process? Because I don't understand how on earth you think someone from a 'not so wealthy' background will be able to vote garner large votes as compared to those from a rich background.
If you really want the objective of this program be achieved, there should be a reasonable and better approach to do that. It is unarguable that you have to make some profits to recover the funds spent, but when doing that the main aim of the program should not be compromised.
Try to be more considerate in whatever approach you are taking. Consider the contestants from ‘humble home’ that have dreams of becoming great in life, but don’t have the necessary platform required e.g. Funds and exposure. You never can tell if they will be the saviour of their family. I totally agree with you that you have to make your money, but please don't do that at the expense of other people's dream.
My advice:
Going Forward, Let the judges decide the contestants to be placed on probation until when we have the finalist. Then MTN can then give the audiences voting rights. By this, the most outstanding and exceptional contestants will make it to the finals. If you feel you won’t generate more funds this way, why not share the voting rights- like 50% judges choice + 50% voting’s.
Secondly, I have my reservations on the number of contestants at the grand finale. When you know you have prizes for just four (4) contestants why put Six (6) contestant as finalist.
It just so not cool that two (2) contestants get to watch others receive prizes while they just stand there. It is hard to watch others being celebrated on such a glorious day. I guess MTN don’t know how it feels to watch your mates clinching prizes and especially knowing fully well that you could have been the one celebrating.
Has anybody else observed, that the remaining two (2) contestant are just not noticed on the grand finale? They don’t get appreciated at all. I could feel their pains and disappointments. This is very unfair. Come on, MTN, they came 5th and 6th out of about 14 contestants that participated. They should be appreciated, for example, they should have their prizes presented to them on the stage just the way you did it for the rest so they won’t feel left out or they be eliminated some days to the grand finale. The shame is actually worst for those contestant that didn't get to win anything on the grand finale than for those that got eliminated earlier on.
Finally, MTN Project Fame West Africa is best talent show in Nigeria that everybody loves and I have been a fan since season1. Please try and improve on your weaknesses and don’t make people loose essence of watching. Looking forward to a better Season 9. God bless you.
And to all the contestants that won I wish you good luck in your careers as this is your starting point. Be of good character and don’t get carried away with the fame. To Arewa and Deinde, I wish you the very best. Take heart. You were equally good. Don’t feel intimidated. God’s time to celebrate you is at the corner. Work hard and pray for favour always. Ciao!

I am about to state MY opinion for the entire season, if you disagree please do so respectfully... overall I don't believe that this was a good season compared to ones in the past, and not just bc of the results. overall the organization that was there in the past wasn't here this year.. I honestly believe that this contest is no longer about talent but a popularity contest and one of who has supporters with the most money. I honestly think that they should get rid of the whole "everyone is on probation" thing bc the judges are not sifting through the talent and pretty good singers are being sent home prematurely. I think they need new background singers bc some days they are on point, other days they sound like they are starving. the season started out slow but picked up. I will miss Deinde o bc I think he is the most lively contestant they have ever had! I wish him well along with the other contestants...I am sad Arewa got nothing, but I know she will go far. I will miss gisting with everyone about what's going on. Until next year... God bless you all😘
+feranmi hall Lol, the budget this year was obviously cut so it had a snowball effect on everything else and it was pretty obvious plus this was the shortest season so far; even the faculty said so. Compared to other seasons, this year's was sub-par but God dey still.

U are absolutely correct on that and every other thing you said was on point. I will give this season 5/10 why? I felt they dropped the ball in terms of the voting system, the way the tie-breakers were done, I mean who does that? A contestant breaking the tie for their fellow contestants when they had already voted? You get my point? Also the number of eliminations 2 or 3 per week is very wrong and unfair, putting everyone on probation etc. you said it all though just wanted to contribute some cents as well..

And yes eliminating 2-3 people every time..if they knew they were overpacked they should not have allowed 2 wild card contestants if they were just going to rush them. Honestly I felt bad for Deinde and Arewa I thought they will make top 4 atleast, it just shows that people might be cheering you but not voting. I wish another method could up but its something that they been using from season 1 I don't think it can change. This season had talented singers but the overall management and how the show was run from start to finish was not good enough..

Before i comment please bear in mind that, there was nothing like CHEATING or OJORO,even though I am team Anderson.I will explain what I meant by that. I have read everbody's comments so that I will be able to give one or two advise , just in case you have a sister or brother contesting next season.If you follow the program from inception ,you will agree that Arewa ,Ada @Anderson are very outstanding in the sense that ,
they can interpret any song given to them.
After about two three performance ,Ada started feeling untop as if she has no match,this explain her expression when she was called for 3rd runner up.feeling as if she deserves more than that,but when saw that Arewa got nothing she comported herself well.Unlike Anderson,he took is gift with a smile and very appreciative,him voting against chike really impaired his chances. He lost some of his fans,otherwise he would have become the winner.Hnnnnnnn ,for pearl,her team were too good,in fact kudos to them. They were mobilizing people like no tomorrow ,at least I got a lot of messages asking me to vote for no 16 but i stood my ground to vote for no 2 because of how Anderson was evicted and recalled and then his voice. A lot of people did not know the extent at which Team Pearl were working underground for her.The more reason why I said there was nothing like CHEATING OR OJORO ,her team did a wonderful job,and it's worked like magic. For Arewa it's just unfortunate and I am not surprised, remember Omolayo Season 6, our darling Emekus (Mr Bojom)of season 7,the best season so far,people were just hailing and got carried away not knowing that it's a competition and she too got carried away ,thinking she has no match,but I know God will settle her,she might even be the best among all. Above all let's all learn how to conduct ourselves well in public places.God be with us all.

This what happens when you know winning depends on votes but choose to be making noise and finding fault. Jeff, Pearl and Ada's fans were all silent. Jeff well deserved cos u can sing. Am just shocked for Arewa. Unbelievable. Well Pearl your luck. You had worthy voters. Dehinde blame it on ur fans who should have concentrated on voting knowing u were the least contestant. Ada and Anderson congrats. You all are winners. First time a well deserved person won. Just sad Arewa was bottom two. Project fame or not you all will go big.

Is it me or does it feel like the contestants actually knew their fate b4 the announcement of the prizes. If you look at their reaction u will know what I mean.Dehinde looked kinda down while jeff was looking confident, pearl seemed kinda confident too. Hmm I really don't know what's up with mtn this season. everything just seems wrong from the beginning.But for real mtn, u guys supposed to be getting better not depreciating. Season 9 better be more organized than this sha. Anyways I feel jeff deserved the win but Arewa and dehinde also deserved a spot among the top 4. Anyways I just believe if mtn improves their strategy on deciding who the winner will be, all this controversy and complaints from the fans will reduce because it seems like mtn project fame is now a popularity contest.
