Bret used to bury Ric Flair in interviews. Now he is giving him props? Jeez Bret.
Right? Went as far as saying his dad always referred to Flair as a “routine guy.” And he wasn’t wrong in his criticisms about Flair, but now he’s praising him? Times change, people change 🤷♂️
Ric also tried to "bury" Bret like 20 years ago. He's just as guilty as Bret. Bret went on Flair's podcast like 5 years ago. Bret was in attendance for Flair's last match versus Jay Lethal. They have mutual respect.
Bret's criticisms were said before Bret found out Ric was sick for all of their matches; poor balance but still working in spite of the disorientation. Ric's techniques were simple but try doing simple techniques for an hour straight, like Flair often did back in the 70s. Flair outlasted and outlived the majority of wrestlers. That kind of longevity doesn't vanish. It'll be a long time before another wrestler attempts a real match at age 73.
I can't remember who said it but they pointed out that Ric has been wresting the same match for 30 years and originally he knocked it. But then he realized Ric has been wrestling almost everyday for 30 years every jabroni they put him in the ring with him and he could still go at his age, that's even more impressive then he ever gave him credit for.

But the point is, Flair hardly ever spent any time off injured or off period so he was seen ALOT. So repetition maybe to the point of some redundancy was to be expected. He did 60 minute time limit draws on a regular basis, the "60 minute man" a phrase he coined. Including his persona of being "all night long...wooooooo!" So the more you see of a guy always in huge demand, as world champ or not, the more redundancy you are likely to see. But I think Hart understands it is to be expected. Both Flair and Hart pushed themselves to the limit and neither was a Ultimate Warrior or Goldberg, the "flash in the pan" so to speak. Those bright lights that go out after a very short stint. They left a trail of hurting guys in the ring in their wake. Bret and Ric were professional. Pros know how to work. From the subtle moves and things to get the fan reactions to the bigger spots in the ring. The promos, everything that goes into the business including elevating peers credibility even while it is you at the time getting the push. The more stars the better it is for all in the business. Stars are not only stars but they also MAKE others stars too.
@@mj-gb6tr What happened to Flair saying Bret was overrated, never drew money, and exploited his brother's death?? Seems like they got over it, sonething your dumb azz can't do
Probably one of the biggest compliments you can get in wrestling is hearing the Hitman say you could work in the ring ... There's something I like to call Micheal Jordan syndrome ... Micheal Jordan's biggest flaw as a man was not understanding how great he really was he'd yell at teammates and get mad because they couldn't do the things he was doing and eventually Micheal Jordan bought a NBA team and he failed as a owner because again he didn't have realistic expectations for his players he just thought his guys could play the way he did if they worked hard enough ... Brett was the same way he was such a great in ring talent that he'd go out and put together these spectacular matches and get mad when the other guys didn't execute what he had planned Brett never understood that he needed to dumb down for certain opponents ... So when Brett says this guys could hang with him that's a massive compliment
I remember he said Ric was stuck in the 70’, that he was antique, he was constantly cutting his forehead and nothing more. I don’t think he changed his mind.
Before anyone criticizes Flair for his abilities, or lack thereof, one has to remember that he survived a plane crash and was told by doctors that he would never wrestle again. So the more you see of a guy always in huge demand, as world champ or not, the more redundancy you are likely to see.
What happened to Bret saying Flair was a 'routine man' whose matches were predictable and one hour of "nonstop non psychology"??
@@mj-gb6tr What happened to Flair saying Bret was overrated, never drew money, and exploited his brother's death??
Seems like they got over it, sonething your dumb azz can't do
Bret had legit endurance and conditioning. Flair had cocaine.
I remember as a child watching these two at the L.A sports arena , Bret had pulled Flairs panties off and mooned the crowd 😂😂😂
Cool 😎
Brett got the shaft
WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
You beat him because the booker said you would beat him.
Glad they made up two of the greatest
Bret Hart seorang yang kacak ketika kemuncak kariernya ❤
Glad these two put buried their bad blood feud and are able to get along
Brett seemed to be the type you would have to smack on the head and say you know the matches are already decided.
1A 1B , even that's a close call
Brets son king kong bundy hart said it best. "Blarrghhhh"
How old u now !? . ❤
Yes, Hart was the better technical wrestler, but Flair was the better performer and one of the best men ever on the microphone.
First video I’ve seen where Hart didn’t mention Goldberg
Bret's attitude towards Ric seems to have changed over the years....
