I love your party prep videos, I didnt know elaborate birthday parties existed until I was an adult. Birthdays for my childhood were just cake on your day and maybe a gift. When I planned my daughter's first birthday my mother thought I was insane doing decorations and I did nothing compared to your awesome parties! 😆 this is inspiring
A few tips from a Mom of 3 with 22 years of birthdays under my belt and MANY celebrations: fondant is a pain to work with and it never seems to act the same, to add a homemade touch to cakes and cupcakes buy whipped or buttercream from a bakery or store bakery (better than from a can and less work than homemade), sometimes it just saves your sanity and time to buy a cake from a local baker (I'm blessed with several in my little area and all I have to do is show them a pic of what I want or tell them and they draw it up so I know what I'm getting). I always spend more of my time on decorations and special features (like a photo booth, ball pits, bouncy houses.....) and the actual meal. I know the stress these parties can cause especially with little kids and a house to keep clean! You nailed it!

My three year old was enjoying this video so much with all of the balloons. I've seen a lot of balloon arches and really thought I'd never be able to afford to pay for something like that. Very cool that you can DIY. This gave me some good ideas for future birthday parties for my kiddos.

I love making my son's cakes every year, usually he has a cake in mind. As far as I'm concerned, if he can look at the cake and tell me what it is, then that's a win! This year was a Lego Iron Man.. it's been one of the more difficult ones, but I loved it

I have that same balloon pump and do an arch or balloon decor for each birthday party, the best trick is to blow up two at a time (one on each nozzle, then tie them together! Then building an arch goes twice as fast too!

I do the same with red food coloring. Lol! I loved whe all 3 cuties were playing in the balloons too! The cupcakes and the outside decorations were so great too! I’d give this a million thumbs up. 👍!!!!

I love your videos! My daughter turns 1 in September and I'm making her balloon arch and doing most of the decor on my own. I love baking though and cooking. Sometimes cooking stresses me out more then baking so total opposite.

Everything turned out great. Power Rangers! My boys had a Power Ranger theme when they were kids about that age also. Now they are both 23 y.o. and 20 y.o. The Power Rangers been around for over 25year. Enjoy they grow fast. Our baby and only girl graduated high school this month.😭😭😭 Time flies.

Those look amazing! I usually flop on decorating, though I love to bake. When I do gluten free baking I add a box of pudding mix and use milk(dairy alternative works too) instead of water. When using the pudding mix just add extra liquid, about 1/3 of a cup. I find this helps gluten free mixes to turn out moist and not as dense. I’ve also found that when I do this method gluten eaters can’t tell that it’s gluten free.

tips for the next time you use fondant. keep moving ur fondant around as you roll it out so it does not stick to your counter. after you've rolled it out to your desired thickness, you can easily move it over to your cake using one of two ways without it falling apart on you. you can either roll it over you rolling pin, move to your cake, unroll it on the cake surface. or what i find to be easier sometimes, is folding your fondant into quarters, move to your cake, and then unfold on top of your cake. comes out great if you've got a really large cake like the one you had on your hands. also, to make sure that your sides are smoothed out nicely, make sure you ice your cake and layer your fondant with the cake on a cake stand and not just on your counter or a cake board. this gives you room to smooth out the fondant and get rid of the excess bits easily.
also, to make your life easier, use a larger tip to frost your cupcakes. it just takes 2 swirls or something and the frosting comes out nice and clean

The cake looks good! Water works really good as a type of glue for the fondant. If you want something stronger, a real fondant glue, take about a pea sized amount of the fondant and put it in a bowl with about 2 teaspoons of water and microwave for about 15 seconds. Mix it up with a spoon and use that. Also, red and black icing is the hardest colors to get a true color of. I've been making cakes for about 12 years now and I can never get a true red or black! Keep up the good work:-)
The machine that blows up the balloons, has two nozzles so you can blow up two at a time. So much faster! Do not tie them yet. You actually tie them together then twist two bundles at a time. (4 total balloons) Way easier and faster to make the arches.
They also have tie gadgets that you put on your hand and they tie the balloons for you. I have the same pump and mine came with two of the tie gadgets. Amazon! Party looks awesome Momma!
