Loved seeing them getting excited about their gifts. Enjoy while you can. It gets harder to buy for them when they become teenagers. Lol I never thought I would miss buying toys but I really do.

I'm the baby if 9! Christmas was always HUGE at our home. 9 siblings and they all had kids!! I dont know how my mom cleaned cooked and supported the holidays! I keep it simple now but I look back as a child and I am so in awe of my beautiful Momma. (She passed in 1980) I was 11 and im 52 now and it still floors me.
I love how she has a brown baby doll, it shows that there is difference and diversity I really could cry❤️

Like the tall scooter driver (Chris) hope he didn’t scuff the floors up! That was the concern my Mom Had w/ Our toys! Awe the memories!! Esp. Now that I just lost my baby Sister (RN) .... all the Christmases came flooding back to the ft of my memory! ... no Christmas celebrations for a LONG time!! 🙏😷😭
It doesn't matter if its short. This brought so much joy to my day. Such a pleasure, you and your kids are precious.
If you feel overwhelmed by the amounts of toys that your kids receive one suggestion is to ask close family members (ex. grandparents) if they would feel comfortable with gifting your child money instead of toys. I have family members that always had a hard time deciding what to buy my kids so my husband and I suggested this idea and it's been working out great since. This also reduces clutter in my house. We started saving accounts for our kids when they were born so every time they receive money we put it in there. Honestly, they still receive some toys (mostly from us) and they don't feel like they're missing out on anything. We also noticed that the less toys they receive, the more they play with what they got.

One thing my mom did as kids was have us each pick one big thing for our birthday's and everyone would chip in and then for Christmas we got our own gifts. But our birthday's we got one thing. I love your guy's videos!! Happy New Year's

I am with yall on the stashing toys. I put all but a handful of my kids toys away so that they really only have their christmas toys out. Honestly they didnt even notice that their usual toys arent out cause they are so entertained by the new ones haha

My husband and I are always so overwhelmed by how much stuff there is. His dad and step mom shop all year long, we have a traverse and we had the back seat laid down and it was completely full. We feel like we can't even get our girls anything

You asked for gift ideas. My mom would get all the grandchildren savings bonds. Now I know to a chikd it's not exciting, but as the bond matures over the years my boys loved the money they got when they cashed them in. It came in handy for college too. They would get a savings bond for all special occasions. Just a thought. BTW thank you for sharing your Christmas morning.

I dont have any children in the immediate family and christmas was just me my sister and mum and seeing just how excited and happy and magical the christmas period has been for your kids m seeing them christmas days has been so so nice! Christmas with just 3 adults just isnt the same as with children around! Xxx

Without bringing you or anyone else down, I will just say that my Christmas this year was really hard....for many reason but esp bc my son is so sick.....it was very difficult for all of us. My bday os the day after Xmas and I spent the entire day taking care of him. So to have a few mins this morning to watch so much sweetness and so much joy ready got my day off to a great start!!!!! This would be him sharing his birthday with kids who don’t get an opportunity to get gifts?.. that or let them go to one of these places with some of their old toys to share. Just a thought. I also come from a big family we are 4 siblings and my mom side of the family had 6 siblings and each sibling had either 4 or 5 children so thats a lot of presents to give out. So basically the tradition that started with my mom side of the family was you put all kids names in a hat and each sibling picks names from the hat. If you have 4 kids you would pick 4 names and of course make sure its not your kids of course and it goes around to everyone until all names are picked. Now this limits the amount of gifts for each kid and how much you have to buy and you give a spending limit as well. So when the family meets for christmas everyone has a gift during present time and no one is left out. My family now of 4 siblings and 10 cousins in total we do the same tradition and it works before that it was insane the amount of gifts to buy and all the stuff they would get. Just an idea to try if your trying to cut down on the amount of presents.
