Regarding your comment at 9.16 - Bebob batteries can be used when the power comes through the V mount. What is not possible is to power through the D-TAP (3-pin) plugs on the side of the Bebob battery. I tested the freefly ember and it worked out great. I love the camera and ordered it.
Hi guys, great to see the new updates! The app its a big welcome, and having the ability to control it wireless from a laptop would be a major bonus. Speaking of design, as for the color, personally I think a black version would be a better pick. In my humble opinion, during macro, tabletop, or product shots, the green color might cause spills or unwanted reflections in certain scenarios. Cheers!
Definitely mat grey over silver! As a tabletop director you want to ovoid reflections as much as possible. Otherwise, congrats on that camera! Looks great
Is there any Information what kind of akkus created these problems? i have seen that the Ember runs on 12-26V power intake. doese it survive a regular 24V 8s Lith-Io Akku (Voltage range 20-33,6V)? The Twist D-Tap has 3 pins and is connectable in either direktions. it is protected against polarity reversal by its form.
Thanks for sharing. I am planning to order my Ember really soon. I prefer the grey by the looks and also for usability in our studio. We are going to use it mainly for product shots with our MRMC Bolt Cinebot. For stuff that is reflecting like bottles etc. a black or dark grey would be great so that we do not have to remove the reflection of the camera in post. Is it possible to order a dark grey or black variant somehow?
A. Ford is dope no shade to Ford. haha B. PLEASE keep that green shade around! I'm trying to convince my company to order one of these but it won't be this month, and I LOVE the green! Also that silver could be a major bummer, I'm imagining using it outdoors and you look down at your camera and get blinded by a major sun glare off of it.
I don't care what those Logistics are. You do the grey. Make it work somehow. That silver one aint it. But that Grey?.... all day. Green and Grey all day.
A fixed PL Mount Version would be aaaaaawesome. I know there are a lot of adapters out there but still… would make so much more sense to me to just get the body without having to spend at least 250 bucks extra for an adapter, that I would never take off anyway. Btw. Is it possible to run that thing on tb50‘s?
Definitely not silver please , this has many disadvantages. Perhaps keep the black accent trim idea combined with a rustic colour so yes to military green, grey, black or a darker khaki will be cool. Like anything anodised the bright silver will at least dull in time I imagine which will help. Ps: A quick video on the accessory options would be most useful.
Silver is… Just awful. No idea how that idea made it past any kind of design check. There’s a good reason virtually every camera out there is black. I think you guys should sit down and really talk about why that is.
I vote for grey

How do you focus the Ember when it's on a drone, as if I understand well, there is no autofocus ?
Hi
Would like to know any plans to go for Appleprores Raw internally or using third party recorders as Atomos...
