You pretty much nailed it. Freuchie is a really idyllic, quiet village. Best to come on a late afternoon Wednesday when the Fish & Frites van is in the car park for the best fish supper you will ever have!:)
The only bits you missed were Freuchie Mill, almost its own hamlet on the west side, cut off from the rest of the village by the busy A92. They are supposed to be installing traffic lights soon so you can cross the road without getting squished but who knows if or when that'll actually happen. Freuchie Mill itself is super old, appearing on the first published maps of Scotland. It goes all the way back to 1600s as a water powered corn & barley mill but has now been converted into flats. Head along Freuchie Mill Road a little more and you come to the chicken farm.
North, down the A92 a bit and where the other road out west from the village centre joins the main road you'll come to Bridgend petrol station which also has a 24hr Spar. Next door to that is the Bridgend Garden Centre which is a pretty large independent garden centre selling all sorts of gardeny things along with its own little restaurant, "The Gardener's Rest".
Slightly along the road to Kettle, from the garden centre and you come to Kettle Produce's Orkie Farm which processes lots of vegetables grown the the local fields. Buy a pack of pre-packed veg in any supermarket in Eastern Scotland and chances are, it will have come from here.

Hello family! Hello Ginger Man, I didn't know about you until I saw this particular video. I've got very close family there, but no way to go visit - thanks for covering Freuchie.

The herb you smelled is Sage. Brilliant when wrapped around Cod Loin with a slice of Parma Ham. Then brown some butter and sage together to make a jous. The best and tastiest way to eat good Cod without deep frying it.

Enjoyed your video, but you missed a chunk of the village out; the old mill & owners house now all converted into houses. most importantly however if you had continued down from the Lumsden memorial hall you would have come to the Albert Tavern a quaint CAMRA winning pub; a regular selection of real ales, ciders & other beverages - well worth a visit if not driving!!

Great footage, I thoroughly enjoyed your docu. I was upstairs in my studio looking out the window when I saw this ginger guy with his head inside a barrel of herbs. I wondered what you were doing and nearly called out to ask but I thought 'none of my business' so I watched you on your way to take a seat where a lot of Freuchie Mums and kids stop for a little peace and picnic.
Good luck to you my friend (hope I can call you that). Going to subscribe. If you're ever passing again, you'll be welcome to pop in for a coffee or maybe I'll just buy you one through Paypal. Dave

Ah good old "Frukky" as ive always called it. If you had continued along the path to East Lomond you would have walked through Little Freuchie. It's literally a couple of houses but does have a small iron sign to let you know you're there. Good drone work too GM.

Can't believe it, was looking for your visit to Freuchie only to find you were there when we went to stay. We were looking for ideas where to walk. There is a public footpath if you kept walking out of Freuchie leading you back into the village but where it starts I've no idea. If you kept walking up the public path to the lomond hills you would have come to little Freuchie. We walked it and think we got to the bottom of the hill so I hope your fit and good luck, hope you video it xxx
